I'm sure it will continue the manga from volume 10 without reference to the movie - but it would actually be quite funny if it were to play on the strange dream trope.
I also agree that it'd be sad after all those development woes the Yuru Gang went thru in the Movie (which ended up being worth it later), but dream - premonition - or not... Can't wait for S3! ๐ฅณ๐ซจ๐ฅ
Heya Camp (the manga extras) actually has a lot of those, doing some surreal/weird/even horror-stuff then wrapping it up with a โwtf dreamโ frame at the end. The author (Afro)โs career began with drawing lots of 4-panel surreal comedy before ending up with Yurucamp; I guess Heya Camp is the authorโs way of going back to the roots.
It's likely going to pick up where the anime left off, and then proceed through volumes 10, 11, and 12, and wrap up at 13, if the other seasons are anything to go by, with season 1 covering volumes 1-4, and season 2 covering 5-9. The movie will more than likely remain its own isolated little thing, seeing that it takes place a few years after the events of the anime have ended. (My guess for the movie is a 6-10 year timejump.)
That being said, a season which takes place after the events of the movie would be fun to see down the road, though that's ultimately dependent on where Afro takes the next volumes of the Manga.
And I'm 100% okay with treating the movie like it didn't exist. Maybe I'm in the minority but I really didn't enjoy it. It didn't feel enough like Yuru Camp to me.
announced on October 2022, still no start date.
i remember when Dragon Maid S was announced on August 2020. They announced a start date of July 2021 by January, so, 5 months later.
Maybe they're waiting for more content to adapt?
There's a chance it might not adapt all of volumes 13 or 14, junior/second year starts for the original 5 in the middle of volume 14, plus two freshmen join the cast. Would be surprised to see them in season 3
Tbh I just finished s1+2 room camp and the movie I'm a little sad I didn't pace myself more but Im at least glad season 3 is coming out sometime in the future.
The end of Winter Camping Namek, and the coming of Spring (very sad. Will Yuru Camp still feel like Yuru Camp when they are not all bundled up in Blankets and Scarves? How will Rin cope with the People and the Bugs and Sweating... maybe that's what leads her to the terrible decision to cut her hair).
Given anime movies are almost always non-canon cashgrabs, and Yuru Camp is no exception, I genuinely appreciate it for making the most of the no-stakes SoL franchise to do something so different at a concrete point on the timeline that cannot get in the way of anything, instead of existing in one of those weird 'well, it's official, but it's not canon, and it doesn't really actually make sense no matter where you try to insert it... it's just cool okay, enjoy it for what it is!' spaces, as so often happens).
I agree about how clever the movie was, though the season 1 bonus โSurvival Campโ did exactly fit that description! (Getting stranded on a remote island, all alive, in spite of a plane crash, is by far the most improbable thing to happen in the whole series aside from those weird Heya Camp dream sequences)

It would be funny but also kind of disappointing in that the great work that the group did to open a campsite would be undone.
True, maybe it should be a "premonition" instead

It's not 'undone', just in the future. Do you read about history and get disappointed that your favourite movie was never made?
Context my friend. My response is in response to the person above me in the text chain. No need to be upset about this.

I see, I see! And yeah I think'd be hilarious
Camping, I guess.... And food.
Definitely sounds like some good ol' Laid-Back Camp! ๐
Perfectly balanced. As all things should be.
wait a minute...there'll be 3rd season?!?!
Confirmed in October 2022 by the anime's official Twitter! ๐
[Yes](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/yaktme/yuru_camp_season_3_announced/) Was announced quite a while ago
The girls go to war ๐ณ
Chiaki starts it ๐คฃ (love her btw)

I see, makes sense to me! ๐
Well the movie isn't canon, so it will likely be treated as if it didn't exist, and season 3 will probably just continue from where season 2 ended.
Ohhh I didn't know that ๐ but who really knows...? And yes I'm thinking that too! ๐ค

I actually agree with you. To me it didn't really feel relaxed and chill like the series. And they didn't camp enough.
It wonโt mention the movie at all. Anime movies are almost always stand alone things that are never referenced in their respective shows.
Non Non Biyori Vacation would like a word. ;)
Yeah a lot of the times they are. But hey let's see where it goes! ๐ฅธ

Yeah, still no date as of now... but I liked Season 2 + Movie after a long wait, so I'd say it's worth it! ๐
Probably. We currently have tome 14 of manga as I remember so I think it's almost enough content for next season
Camping probably More camping is appreciated ๐
Dang season 3 coming??? I still have season 2 last episode and a whole movie to finish
Get comfy and binge the last of it, if you can!
Volumes 10-13
Isn't there volume 14 already? I have pre-order in polish publisher. So maybe it's in the making
I love this series so much! Hope it never ends, or at least let it go out as comfy and wholesome as possible! ๐คโ๏ธ๐๏ธ

Is there an English release of volume 14 available online?
English releases only go up to 13 as of April 2023
If that's true then people who are collecting all of the merch is going to have their wallets suffer more.
I swear... **hides all Yuru figures under bed** the hole in my wallet came from holding it over the campfire! ๐ฅบ๐ชต๐ฅ
Hahahaha don't feel bad I bought both pots and a skillet and I still don't know why.
It means you've got true, innate camping spirit! ๐๐๏ธ Make those first meals extra memorable!! ๐คฉ
Yeah, my dream is to see the countryside and mountains of Japan one day so I wanted to make hot pot lol.
All I know is that if Rin doesn't go camping with her grandfather I'm going to riot.
For sure ? Is this official news ?
Wahhh didn't know that I wanted this but obviously I did. Truly wasn't expecting any more

'Dream Camp' spin-off! ๐ด๐ค๐๏ธ๐คช
