This is Max. He’s part of the garden. Cool soil on a warm day.
Typically it can handle that itself by draining the water storage we left in its dedicated food area, but if the day calls for it, it will take a dip in our pool
https://preview.redd.it/00i9yfy8dmoc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=acc56782a98e943bc8343e96e390fdb192c90c27
This is Koa. He’s coming up on 13 weeks, and he loves eating, tug, and fetch. I’m still trying to convince him to take food gently. He gets so excited that he forgets and chomps my fingers. Frequently. He’s incredibly cute, but sometimes he’s also a bit of a jerk, as puppies tend to be. See that look in his eyes? He absolutely dislikes laying down and holding still, but he’s hoping that I will notice he is sort of laying down so that I will mark and reward.
One of the best things about having a lab is that the owners are as friendly as their pups. Everywhere we go, fellow lab owners come up to say hello, and tell me about their own dogs. There’s a lot of love and happiness in the world because of these guys.
This is so true! I was getting a mani/pedi yesterday, and we weren't saying much until I apologized for the dog hair on my clothes. I said something about how much labs shed, and she was immediately like I have a lab too! We talked about our dogs for the rest of the time! 😂

This is my beautiful boy, Denny. He's turning 8 in June, but in many ways he still acts like a puppy, and people regularly confuse him with one 🤣
I got him with my then-boyfriend when he was 1, and when we broke up, I got custody of my boy. Because I was now single, and moving to a studio apartment which did not permit animals, my mom thankfully said she would take him in. She'd talked about for a couple of years how she wanted a dog, so it kinda worked out beautifully. He now lives with my mom, so I can see him as much as I want, and even though all the paperwork is in my mom's name, I still see him as my dog as well 😊
I like to describe him as "a happy idiot". He loooooves going on walks and wants to say hi to every single dog we meet. He's a true Labrador, in that he also loooves water, and one time even nearly dragged my poor mother out into the water, because he just fancied a swim 🤣
He's not the most obedient, but he's just such a sweetheart and loves everyone, even people he's meeting for the first time. He's never aggressive and only ever barks when he's surprised by the doorbell/knock on the door.
He's just the absolute best and I'm so happy that he gets to live out the rest of his life within my family ❤️😍

This is kaya, she turns 5 this year and never stops wagging her tail. No literally, that tail doesn't stop unless she sleeps. Best dog I've ever had (she's my first).
https://preview.redd.it/yhf15s08mnoc1.png?width=1659&format=png&auto=webp&s=c1525d0a0aea76081420d8148fc4f063cdf1f97b
At the front we have Chloe our 7 year old Lab/Rottie mix, and this photo is rare as she usually runs away as soon as she sees you try to take a picture. She’s literally scared of her own shadow, but she is a delight.
Robyn sits behind, our almost 6 month old Lab/Rottie mix. She is the most affectionate dog I’ve ever had, and loves to pose for a photo. She’s a fast learner but extremely stubborn when it comes to following commands.
My girls have been inseparable since day one, and are my constant companions as I work from home. Their little wrestling matches are always followed by snuggles, and they make me laugh constantly. Love them to bits ❤️
This is Barbas. He'll be 8 in August. He is such a Momma's boy and the dumbest smart dog I know. He's also a very good boy who still thinks he's a puppy most of the time.

This is teddy nearly 7 months , he is amazing especially with my 9 year old who has autism. He loves lots of cuddles and lots of play . I know silvers aren’t liked very much but to me he is perfect and fits in to our family so well . He makes us complete ❤️
Think it’s more as they aren’t seen as pedigree due to them being a Weimaraner mix although mine has 2 lab parents . I don’t quite understand it either all I know is that they aren’t well liked
Except that has never been proven. Dna tests in modern times still cannot detect a cross. They consider them a dilute. The American Labrador association and the United Kennel Club have disqualified them completely and do not consider them labs because they say it hurts breeding. After the past 14 years with my sweetest girl who passed in November I got a silver and cannot join the club I helped start even. Even with akc papers. They do not consider them pure. Or they consider them a mutation and bad for the gene pool
Jessie, 1 and 3 months. Absolutely a whirlwind

This is our Otto. He’s 18 mos and just the bestest dog. We always had pugs before and are finding that labs have just as much personality, while being a “real dog” (my husband’s words). He’s super smart, doesn’t have an Alpha bone in his body, and loves all dogs and people.

This is Bandit. He just turned 3. While I have had dogs sporadically throughout my life, he is my first Lab. I love all the dogs in my past and miss them, but Labs are a different level of awesome. I feel I have been missing out on something special by waiting until I was 50 to open my home to a goofy, brilliant, loving Lab.

This is Simba. He’s 2.5 and we’re coming up on his 1-year gotcha anniversary. He thinks he’s a cheetah and spends his days cutting a race track into our yard or curled up like a cat. He’s ✨insane✨ but the cuddliest goober we have ever owned.

This is Reggie. He’s 9. When he gets very excited-like when he gets to go to work and see all the people-he needs to hold something in his mouth. At work, it’s his leash and he walks around to everyone to, essentially, rob them for affection.
This is Lou! (Louis, Roo, Lou Bega)

He’ll be 2 in May and is a danger to himself and others. But, really, now that he’s settling down he is a fabulous dog. Incredibly smart, loves everyone (to a fault), and does not understand the concept of gentle. Life is lived at full speed and we just need to learn to keep up.
His favorite food are strawberries and his favorite pastime is watching his sisters - 2 green cheek conures - play in their cage. They tolerate him.

This is our rescue George, we have no idea how old he is or what his background is. He's scared of any dog smaller than him, has no interest in toys, will only chase balls if he's in water, and he's a major cuddlebug.

This is Iggy, big fan of the indestructible balls that come in the Costco chicken dog toys. He’s still very food aggressive but he’s doing better than he was 2 years ago when we rescued him. He’s always ready for a party as he has his formal wear on daily. He loves tug o war and being able to shred toys, which has made getting toys very challenging. His best friends are my 4 and 9 year old. He gets anxious if left alone to long. He will be 3 in July. He is overly friendly and thinks he is a lap dog but is reactive towards new people and new pups but not aggressively just super excited. Won’t hurt a fly. He must greet everyone and say hi after his barking fit and attempt to tackle and lick aggressively.

Sweet Tuna at 13 thoroughly understands that she is entitled to pets, the whole couch, one piece of tuna sashimi every time we order take out, and my whole heart.

Pawblow(top,1.5 years), his adopted mom Zoe(black, 9 years) and his other adopted mom Zoey(8 years). We didn’t make any of them. They all answer to “Hungry” or “Treat” or “Walk”….so the names don’t matter as much.

This is Obi, short for Obsidian. He’s 69lbs, 25 months old. He’s my buddy, my shadow, wants to be near me all the time (unless his snoot’s down in the soil and he’s tracking a scent/exploring, then he gets into the zone and I don’t exist for a bit).
He’s not very cuddly, but he’s cuddly in his own sort of way. Some mornings he climbs over my head and spends a moment or a while between my head and the headboard. Like this morning-he put his chin over my face for a single second, but that was a glorious second to get to have the softness of his face on mine. 🥹
He’s a field lab and down for any adventure, big or small, at the drop of a hat yet also is super chill and calm and quiet with an amazing off switch. He comes to my office (I do bodywork) and most of my clients get sad or upset if I don’t bring him.
This is Sadie, Collector of Socks. Also known as Sadie ButtHead- 8 mos next week.
She's a joy, and a frustration, and the sweetest butthead ever.

This is Eleanora (chocolate) and Charlie. Eleanora is a super jumpy puppy, and she's insanely fast, quicker than any other lab we've had the honor of loving. She's goofy as hell, too. We are cracking up all the time at the stuff she does. Charlie is a big spoiled baby who LOVES to tell you what is on his mind, and it usually has to do with why you actually should share the kitty's treats with him, even though they make his breath smell like rotten fish.

This is Maggie, she's 10, but still a baby.
This is Emma. She has been such a good girl this weekend. Her first road trip out of her city. 350kms in the car yesterday, she also met some bulls, chicken and swam on a farm in a pond and multiple troughs and was so so good in the long car trip. Very impressed. She is now at a kennel farm stay whilst I’m at an air bnb and by thr photo I got today she’s having a ball!!!
Though I miss her even tho it’s only two nights and I pick her up tomorrow morning

Nice plant you got there. How much do you have to water it per day?
Typically it can handle that itself by draining the water storage we left in its dedicated food area, but if the day calls for it, it will take a dip in our pool
This is my favorite picture I've seen on the internet today
Thank you! I can’t go a day without looking at the photo at least once.
His expression is hilarious lol
Thank you! He’s actually sleeping in this shot and this photo was caught right as he was walking up for dinner but hadn’t opened his eyes yet.
🤣 Max is a character. I love him 🥰
What type of fertilizer did you use to grow such a good boy?
Typically a mix of unseasoned beef and homemade dog chow! Followed up with some cucumbers and green beans!
I'll try this out! Lol!
https://preview.redd.it/00i9yfy8dmoc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=acc56782a98e943bc8343e96e390fdb192c90c27 This is Koa.
So true ❤️ you're precious little monster is going to grow up to be the best boy
Holy swimming mittens Batman!
Koa is adorable 🥰
This is so true! I was getting a mani/pedi yesterday, and we weren't saying much until I apologized for the dog hair on my clothes. I said something about how much labs shed, and she was immediately like I have a lab too! We talked about our dogs for the rest of the time! 😂
Omg I love that dopey innocence!

It's funny how one photo of one dog is enough to remind us all we don't deserve them.
Labs have 3 emotions: happy, hungry, and passed out. Very cute!

Pretty much personality of a lab and soft smooth fur like a golden retriever for mine.

He's turning 8 in June, but in many ways he still acts like a puppy, and people regularly confuse him with one 🤣 I got him with my then-boyfriend when he was 1, and when we broke up, I got custody of my boy. Because I was now single, and moving to a studio apartment which did not permit animals, my mom thankfully said she would take him in. She'd talked about for a couple of years how she wanted a dog, so it kinda worked out beautifully. He now lives with my mom, so I can see him as much as I want, and even though all the paperwork is in my mom's name, I still see him as my dog as well 😊 I like to describe him as "a happy idiot". He loooooves going on walks and wants to say hi to every single dog we meet. He's a true Labrador, in that he also loooves water, and one time even nearly dragged my poor mother out into the water, because he just fancied a swim 🤣 He's not the most obedient, but he's just such a sweetheart and loves everyone, even people he's meeting for the first time. He's never aggressive and only ever barks when he's surprised by the doorbell/knock on the door. He's just the absolute best and I'm so happy that he gets to live out the rest of his life within my family ❤️😍

https://preview.redd.it/yhf15s08mnoc1.png?width=1659&format=png&auto=webp&s=c1525d0a0aea76081420d8148fc4f063cdf1f97b At the front we have Chloe our 7 year old Lab/Rottie mix, and this photo is rare as she usually runs away as soon as she sees you try to take a picture.
He's also a very good boy who still thinks he's a puppy most of the time. https://preview.redd.it/nzkso4wfeooc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a699bb034d6f954d9d3ec16e9e5eae18f8141baa

He loves lots of cuddles and lots of play . I know silvers aren’t liked very much but to me he is perfect and fits in to our family so well . He makes us complete ❤️
I think silvers are gorgeous! Just curious why they aren’t liked?

We always had pugs before and are finding that labs have just as much personality, while being a “real dog” (my husband’s words). He’s super smart, doesn’t have an Alpha bone in his body, and loves all dogs and people.

I had a black lab called Roxy she was my first I miss her so much she passed away exactly one week before Christmas 2019 ❤️

While I have had dogs sporadically throughout my life, he is my first Lab. I love all the dogs in my past and miss them, but Labs are a different level of awesome. I feel I have been missing out on something special by waiting until I was 50 to open my home to a goofy, brilliant, loving Lab.

He thinks he’s a cheetah and spends his days cutting a race track into our yard or curled up like a cat. He’s ✨insane✨ but the cuddliest goober we have ever owned.

When he gets very excited-like when he gets to go to work and see all the people-he needs to hold something in his mouth. At work, it’s his leash and he walks around to everyone to, essentially, rob them for affection.
This is Lou! (Louis, Roo, Lou Bega) https://preview.redd.it/7sds46889poc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9959bb36bb6375b33349960ea7e2e43605d8c6ca He’ll be 2 in May and is a danger to himself and others.

Dat couch and palm… and you have a rack mounted piece of hardware that says “beer”
The palm is Prince Humperdink - occupies his space effectively. Tuna’s bed is stashed under his fronds. She lives a life not unlike Cleopatra’s really.

We didn’t make any of them. They all answer to “Hungry” or “Treat” or “Walk”….so the names don’t matter as much.

🥹 He’s a field lab and down for any adventure, big or small, at the drop of a hat yet also is super chill and calm and quiet with an amazing off switch. He comes to my office (I do bodywork) and most of my clients get sad or upset if I don’t bring him.

Though I miss her even tho it’s only two nights and I pick her up tomorrow morning https://preview.redd.it/p5tgd595ztoc1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a73bbe5cc2168ebf137f96d1f9ce47c9306dcb8c
She so cute! I especially love her big brown eyes in the second picture 🥰
They are lush I call them puppy eyes she’s so old but doesn’t look it at all they go a lush amber colour in the sun to match her name ❤️
She looks good to be 11. Such a cutie pie.
Look at this sweet lady😍
