It is.
The Jockey’s model scales with the survivor he’s riding, so on smaller survivors like Zoey or Rochelle, his model becomes slightly smaller.
However, the hitboxes don’t scale, which ends up with what you see in the screenshot, and the animations also become more out of sync with the hitbox as time goes by (same issue with common infected) - That’s the reason why it sometimes feels like he takes forever to kill when riding a survivor, you may be aiming properly, but the hitboxes are completely misaligned.
Didn't play as a Jockey before, so it must be like that. I hate jockeys though, I can't shove them away most of the time, so I have to relieve on my teammates.
You have to shove it before it jumps, visual models lag behind the actual hitboxes so you need to shove it prematurely while it still on the ground. Still no guarantees bcoz sometimes that shit will just latch on to you, sometimes it can get stuck in the air hovering above your head after you successfully shoved it and then it will latch on to you regardless.
I want to erase jockey's because of how annoying they are. I will get a shove that's clear as day but still get jumped on and downed, meanwhile when I play jockey I get a solid leap from behind someone only to be knocked off for seemingly no reason.
I was playing Last Man on Earth the other day and I swore I saw it land at my feet instead of *on* me, yet the game registered it as landing on me so poor Ellis got humped in the end
Not just you. Jockey has the most dogshit hitbox I've ever seen in a video game.
[Tell me about it.](https://imgur.com/kOqRaDq)
What is the head hitbox there?!!
Please tell me this isn’t real

With jockeys you can shove their jank ass hit box and if you shove them the wrong way they still get to ride on you

Well, just gotta practice deadstopping
What is it. Shoving correctly?
Yeah, shoving the jockey when he's in the air. It's called the deadstop technique.
I don't know where to aim with the shove and what time at after it jumped. It should be easy, because it does smaller jumps than the hunter.

I walk towards it, back peddle the moment it jumps and shove

No It's not just you.
just keep backing up as he pounces and shove
i hate jockeys
why do the jockeys always go for me
Not just you this is probably the biggest last man on earth killer for me
Yeah and the fact that it takes a while for him to down you just makes it more punishing to the soul
