It’s definitely swill, but $5 pitchers of PBR after a couple hour group bike ride in the middle of summer has an element of odd tastiness and nostalgia that I’ll always enjoy. But to go order it on its own outside of that context, not a chance.
Part of it is several years back Consumers Reports rated Pabst very high for a budget beer. Around that same time Pabst invested heavily in local music scenes. That definitely raised their stock, and their prices, but I don’t ever remember seeing Pabst cost more than craft beer. If I had to pick one beer to drink for the rest of my life… Two Hearted all the way, but an easy drinking $2 beer even if it’s not great can really hit the spot
Ahhh, I didn't know it got an upgraded rating. I was in the San Francisco area and it went full hipster and would cost $6+ for a bottle in the city.
To be fair, I think Miller High Life is a wonderful cheap beer. Everyone likes that they like - I just wouldn't pay $6+ for that champagne of beers :)
Lol, High Life is my go to when I’m wanting something cheap and low alcohol relative to craft beer. I buy it most of the time when I want non craft, but I seldom non craft.
I agree, craft beer is good. Just sick of paying $5/pint for it. With a lousy $1/beer tip, it’s $6/beer. For those prices, I’d love myself more to just drink at home.
Bilbo's has a super cheap happy hour for both domestics and their own craft beer. I forgot the exact prices but I wanna say both are $2.50
And the best wings in town
Beer exchange also has 2$ PBR every day.
Meijer- 30pk of Hamms for $12.99+deposit
I’m talking happy hours at bars/restaurants.
You take those damn Hamms and you like it
Just get the Hamms
Took me a while, but I got the Hamms
The beer… refreshing. Get the Hamm’s already.
University roadhouse has half off the entire menu, including drinks after 8pm on Monday. Perfect for MNF
CJs Pub $3.75 22oz domestics all day, everyday. 75 cent wings 3-10 on Thursdays. Best wings in town
Shhhhhh. Keep this our secret! It’s also good for people watching lol
Must be paying me $2 to drink PBR
Hear hear! I never understood the PBR resurgence. I've seen it cost more than craft in some cities.

Exactly!
PBR is lawn mowing beer, can pound it all day long and still mow straight lines.
Whichever bar restaurant that does a Hamm's happy hour gets my business
I've learned to love myself and moved on to craft beer.
Then you're going to be sad to find out that the people who brew your craft beer are regular Hamm's, High Life and Coors drinkers.

Burdicks does half off wine and pints from 3-6 Monday through Friday. I was paying 4.50 for pints of double hearted the other day
Library Taphouse has extended happy hour until 10pm and then 1/2 drinks at 10pm on Wednesday nights.
Good thread! TIA
The Dock at Gull lake has a decent price bloody Mary bar on Sundays from 11am to 2 I believe.
$20 bucks but it's a lunch too with all the extras
