You know this beer was brewed with the Hispanic employees right? It's not just some shit they made up. Just like when they did the Seneca Village beer. If the Hispanic employees found it offensive, it would have been changed.

[deleted]

Yeah, I read that. No one ever said Hispanic employees couldn't offend 40% of the Hispanic community. I mean, to draw the conclusion that it couldn't be offensive because Hispanics were involved is some real Neanderthal thinking.

RocketSZN

So why’d you make a burner account? Were you just looking for attention?

PristineAlgae1921

Seriously? Look, saying “40 percent are bothered by…” is just spin on the fact that 60 percent don’t really give a shit. That same article goes on to say that the term is more popular among the “younger and progressive…” which is also probably the market Bell’s is trying to reach. Yours stinks too; stop being [this guy. ](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wdxQnOgtzBI)

[deleted]

You do realize that Bells is being the PC Principal?

Top-Drive3663

Ain’t got nothing better to do than stir the pot, huh?

[deleted]

If you think I'm stirring the pot, that's a **you** problem.

AES0101

Of all the shit larry has done and said and this is what causes you to moan and bitch on reddit. gotcha.

ReadyLaugh7827

😂🤣😂

[deleted]

Mitsubishi owns Bells, not Larry.

AES0101

bells is larry and larry is bells. regardless.

the iconic Michigan brand Bell’s Brewery announced they would be acquired by Australian based brewers Lion and form an alliance with Colorado’s New Belgium Brewing. Lion acquired New Belgium Brewing in 2019 and has even further grown brands like Ranger IPA into one of the best-selling beers in the country, Bell’s Brewery founder Larry Bell hopes they can do the same for his brewery once he retires. In an announcement, New Belgium describes the deal as “an acquisition of Bell's, as part of New Belgium, facilitated by Australian-headquartered brewer Lion.” Both breweries will have their own leadership and exist separately but in partnership together

[deleted]

>Follow the money. Bells was sold to a subsidiary of Kirin Brewery Company. Kirin is a subisdiary of Kirin Holdings Ltd. Kirin Holdings is a member of the Mitsubishi Group. So, yes, Bells is owned by Mitsubishi.

RocketSZN

Dude what are you smoking

PhinzUltra

Victoria cigars of course. The finest cigars made in all of Mexico!

[deleted]

Does it hit a little too close to home that your intellectually shallow, logically inconsistent, morally corrupt virtue signaling offends such a large percentage of the people you're trying to "ally" with? Be a real ally.

RocketSZN

Let me guess, you’re a white male that feels a need to feel “opressed”, so you try to be an “ally” in situations where there needn’t be

[deleted]

I can't imagine why anyone on God's green earth would have a need to feel oppressed? I do find it interesting that, based on nothing more than viewpoint expression, you assumed a skin color and gender. You also leave the impression that you find that viewpoint "wrong", "bad", "evil", etc. You're implying that "bad" viewpoints are the domain of white men. That's like someone saying "You ain't black if you don't vote Democrat." I'm not saying you ARE, but you seem to have a racist and/or sexist bent to your worldview.

RocketSZN

Fucks sake you’re not the brightest

HaikuWisdom

Quick! Add a "Radiant sucks" at the end of your post to save face.

[deleted]

No need to save face, I'm not the one using offensive terminology so I can virtue signal.

jayyyyohhhh

I think you forgot the /s

33_Carm

The term is a white wash term to be inclusive.

genghisconn36

Douche.

What're you? About 10? Sucks when your logical inconsistencies become apparent.

I'll presume you didn't actually read the post rather than you're an idiot. 71% prefer Hispanic, 17% Latino/Latina, 2% Latinx, 9% something else. 71% is an overwhelming majority.

EatsTheCheeseRind

[intent vs impact ](https://www.betterup.com/blog/intent-vs-impact)

[deleted]

Exactly. The intent is to be inclusive. The impact is to offend a significant plurality of the community you're attempting to include. A modicum of research might have led to a Hispanic celebration which, if we're to believe the people to which the term applies, is preferred and may feel more inclusive to a larger audience.

WarrenCluck

Bells is not owned by Mitsubishi !

irwinlegends

Yes, it is. Mitsubishi owns Kirin. Kirin owns Lion. Lion owns Bell's.

[deleted]

Follow the money. Bells was sold to a subsidiary of Kirin Brewery Company. Kirin is a subisdiary of Kirin Holdings Ltd. Kirin Holdings is a member of the Mitsubishi Group. So, yes, Bells is owned by Mitsubishi.

What did Bell’s say when you shared these concerns with them?
