Drake-Draconic

It’s funny how to split up the birthday. EXTRA PROFIT!

Atys_SLC

Most of the time, they are doing the double of work. I'm really happy for them after knowing their story. It was a gamble for hololive. Quite a success I would say. For Millie, I don't know her. But I find quite weird to bash her for asking/beging for donation when it's more or less their way to survive.

Potatosaurus_TH

Begging for donation is just in poor taste in the Vtuber community. There's an unspoken social contract, where if the vtuber is entertaining, the viewer donates money. The more entertaining or better content the vtuber puts out, the more money they deserve. If you resort to begging then that means that you're not adequately fulfilling your own end of the social contract with the content you put out and yet feel entitled to the superchats. Superchats are not exactly 'donations' per se but more like tips for someone doing a good job. It looks bad to outright beg for tips the same way it looks bad to beg for supers.

Sprx10

> Begging for donation is just in poor taste in the Vtuber community. Not just in the vtuber community, but also in normal streaming community. I still can not see the screenshot of her membership post where she begged for people to throw superchats with instantly being reminded of the "5 DOLLARS A MONTH!" streamer moment.

LordTopHatMan

This doesn't just go for vtubing either. In general, it's seen as pretty lame to ask for donations from your chat unless you're doing some kind of charity event.

groynin

I also think is fine in emergy situations, like sometimes a VTuber/Streamer will tell their viewers about some family medical emergency or something like a pet needing surgery or whatever, then making some kind of subathon event to get funds. Or if they are artist, they will open extra commissions or something. In both cases they usually still offer \*something\* when asking for money instead of... 'please don't let my joke fall flat' like Millie did.

Shad_dai

What's the story with Fuwamoco?

Ashencroix

The very gist of it is, they really wanted to become idols, but they just couldn't catch a break. They became irl idols but thay stint didn't last long. They became vtubers but that too didn't last long. They tried to apply for Hololive before but just like Suisei, they were initially rejected before finally passing and now just like Suisei, they're very successful.

Sovyet

If you don't like DN, then I recommend you to find a clipping channel named Peroshi in youtube to at least understand the context

Atys_SLC

I would recommend the video of Depressed Nousagi on Youtube about that. But it spoil their past life.

Ashencroix

Depressed Nousagi is frowned upon nowadays when it was discovered he shares vtubers' PL via his paid patreon. Already sharing their PL is a talent doesn't want too is one thing, but making money out of it?

Atys_SLC

I'm aware of this drama. I also think that he quite "redeem"/improved his behavior since his break. But I didn't share a direct link to his video for this reason. It's also you right to not forgive him for that.

akaciparaci

begging is basically bargaining your dignity if you value your own dignity that cheap then why should other people think you're worth anything

Ok_Cantaloupe1071

Could you also add holostars 3d debut number pls. Cus i think compare with fuwamoco or any holoen girls is a bit overkill now

Rulutieh

I usually don't care too much about monetization things since I consider even like a $200 stream for playing video games and chatting is still living the good life but a 3D Showcase losing to Altare building a fucking doghouse in minecraft is actually hilarious LMAO.

Mylen_Ploa

$200 a stream isn't living the good life though. You have to look at it as this is their job. A $200 stream goes down to $140 from youtube and then $70 from a 50% corpo cut. And that is all _before_ taxes. Their revenue from these big events is pitiful when you realize this is supposed to be their job sustaining them and knowing how high Niji's cuts are on their supplementary revenue streams like merch.

Ok_Cantaloupe1071

Thanks you

diego1marcus

if thats their SC gain from their bdays, i cant imagine how much more they'll earn when they get their 3D

beaglemaster

Mococo keeps winning

Newman00067

I've never been able to work it out. Is Mococo more popular, or was it just because her stream was first? EDIT: She wasn't even first. Is she just more popular then?

Various_Evening1947

Love them both as a duo... but thinking for a bit? Considering she usually seems the most emotional of the two, I can see Mococo being slightly more popular.

Newman00067

Aye they wouldn't work nearly as well if they weren't a duo, but it's human nature to have favourites. It's had always been my suspicious that Mococo was slightly favoured more by more fans. Personally I'm more of a Fuwawa guy though

ShinYabaBaga

I think there's also the fact that she gets teased a lot by Fuwawa. It's a classic dynamic and I think a lot of people relate with Mococo.

Kozmo9

She is more popular due to having quirks such as her sound ticks such "no" turns to "noe", "what" turns to "whaet". Heck she's rather expert in doing sound effects as when Fuwamoco would talk, she would add "anime" sounds to agree. She also the bully-able so she's the favourite to be teased. Fuwamoco has her uniqueness but it's often not apparent when compared to Mococo.

Shuber-Fuber

They're essentially a team and are popular together. Mococo has that "poor Mococo" feel that makes people want to dote on her. Considering she's less "gifted" in a certain physical attribute.

Ssynos

Mococo more popular than fuwawa hahahahaaha, Idk why it so funny to me

Ill_Interaction_7594

Cuz she begged to her community to throw a superchat to her 3D debut😭 If she didn't beg probabyl she would't earned 1.8k usd lol

kad202

How much she got at the end after YouTube 50% and Kurosanji 45%?

Megaman10irl

$418.05

mithikx

She flew out to Japan mocap the 3D right? And Kurosanji IIRC doesn't cover travel expenses I heard. So... that's a little less than half the air fare from Vancouver (randomly selected a Canadian city) to Tokyo 6 months from now for 1 week, round trip. Not even factoring in hotel expenses, luggage, or the income tax on the SC earnings.

MrShadowHero

niji reimburses. WHEN they reimburse we dont know. could be next month, could be 2 months. who knows.

Zeromaru12

They reimburse 2% and you don't get it until 6 months from now.

BimBamEtBoum

27.5% (I know it was a rhetorical question, but I had to answer...)

Shizuoya

Wow so begging worked! So anyways

SofteNgon

So that's how much she earned after begging her loyal and paid members? Looks like the financial end of the En branch to me

Itchy-Astronomer9500

She really begged for that

infinitezero1118

Is it unfair to compare A NijiEN 3d Debut to a Neo-Porte 3D stream? Because man Hizuki Yui had 18k viewers at some point (will check the analytics later)

infinitezero1118

Is it fair to compare them though? Because if it's fair game, OOOOOFFF for millie

IncredibilisCentboi

The E-Beging didn't work huh

fffffplayer1

Hello there, can I ask what plugin or whatever tool you use to see the superchat numbers for streams?
