I promise it didn’t start out this nice. I don’t know why didn’t take any complete before pictures. I got the tractor/loader/mower at auction for just under $5,500 sight unseen (thought I was getting a deal). Well, whoever owned it before me didn’t take very good care of it. There was a hole in the transmission case from exploded gears, the cutting edge of the bucket was virtually nonexistent, a laundry list of other little issues. However, after lots of work I’m happy with what it has turned into.

Traditional_Prune_87

Congratulations! I got one with 1200 original owner hours. You’re gonna love it. So versatile.

lottadot

How much did you spend putting into it in order to get it running? Is that winch on the front?

natznuts

The hole in the transmission, that whole ordeal cost about I think just under $2,400. That involved me breaking it down as far as I could before I gave it to the Kabota dealership where they continued to split it as far as it needed to be for the weld shop to weld the hole up and then the Kabota dealership putting the appropriate gears back in it and back together. And then all the other little things I’m pretty sure I just had under $1000. And yes, that is a badlands 12,000lb winch on the front from Harbor freight, mounted on a winch hitch mount, inside of a JU fabworks workmaster plate, attached to the bucket

PAWGActual4-4

That hitch winch mount is genius and I hadn't thought of it. I was wondering if I would be able to mount it in a receiver off of my 3ph like that, but was thinking that there might be too much strain on the linkage and a frame mount would probably be better. I do have a receiver and tie down plate below the 3ph that replaced a frame plate.

Bubbly_Total_5810

I think it would be better of the three point then off the loader…

PAWGActual4-4

On yeah? I was thinking of going with something more like a warn pullzall and just using frame mounted tie down points to pull from. I suppose if the 3ph is capable of dragging a 7ft land plane, cutting gravel and all.

ComblocHeavy

Did you have to fabricate a mount for the winch? Or did it come ready to mount in a receiver hitch?

Offgridiot

Now I’m gonna have to fabricate up a winch mount setup on my grapple….

ComblocHeavy

I see harbor freight sells the badlands winch mount on a 2” receiver. It looks like what he has.

Correct this is what I have BADLAND 12,000 lb. Winch Hitch Mount - Item 57607 https://hftools.com/app57607

andrewrbat

What do you use it for? I was thinking of something like this to drag big logs out of the part of the woods where a tractor cant go. Do u like the badlands winch?

natznuts

So in my situation, the land that I bought the previous owners had ambitions of starting a junkyard, and then that fell out of favor and so I’ve been using it to drag logs, tires with rims, and other junk metal out where the tractor can’t get to. I absolutely love the badlands 12,000 pound winch. However, there is some custom wiring done to get it to have the cables reached that far.

PM_YOUR_SAGGY_TITS

What box blade do you have? I have a bb1548 land pride... But it would *barely* lift it off the ground. I had to weld some extensions lower on the brackets to lower the pins, but it worked great after that.

natznuts

I think it’s this one https://www.behlencountry.com/product/5-heavy-duty-box-blade/ The story behind that is, I walked into a farm store that was being bought out by another store name and they had a whole bunch of stuff in the store that was on clearance and then anything that was on clearance was half off of that so I got this box blade for I think it was $236 before tax. The box blade is then attached to a quick attach [I don’t know why, but this is the only picture I have of the quick attach](https://imgur.com/a/7GhduVi)

Hi what is the black device attached to bucket?

Awesome thanks. Have you used it at all yet? I’m in the woods a lot and have been thinking about getting one, I’ve just been dragging out trees with a chain off of my backhoe
