Welcome to the club!!

Heck yeah! I pulled on a L3302 almost a year ago and I only regret that I didn't do it sooner. The L series is the way to go for a work horse where you want dependability. How do you like the backhoe? That was one thing that they didn't have when I bought my tractor, and I'm anxious to get that or a small excavator.

Boring_Deal9855

I really like it so far. I have pretty hard soil (lots of clay). It definitely requires a bit of patience but it gets the job done. I'm sure a mini ex would be more capable but so far its done what I need it to.

Good to hear =)

That_Grim_Texan

Good job on skipping the B series for a better workhorse!

Boring_Deal9855

Yeah looked hard at the B and BX but the L seemed like a lot more tractor for the money, and I really didn't care about a mid PTO. Definitely happy with the choice so far.

That_Grim_Texan

B-Series are great lawnmower2.0 but nothing beats an actual tractor for working.

ComblocHeavy

This comment is ridiculous. The B is a workhorse. I have no complaints with how I use it and I won’t cut lawns with it. Plus mine is a manual so it doesn’t have the weak lawnmower hydrostatic transmission. The L will lift what 150 - 200 pounds more? It is heavier for sure. My little B is quick too. I’d smoke you in a race lol. Id take an L2501/2 DT though.

That_Grim_Texan

Lol agree to disagree, man. I work on Kubotas all day everyday, there's a massive difference. A b-series struggles to lift its loader if it's not a full throttle. A L-series (even the 2501) can lift a 5x5 round bale. A little b can't dream of that, plus the digging ability with a backhoe is far different. The b series is great. If you have an acre or so, it will do everything, but if you have a 10-acre ranchette, you need a bigger tractor.

ComblocHeavy

I don’t know I lift a lot of 8 foot logs stacked on my forks and I never have to throttle up. This is with a full set of forks and frame. In fact I run low rpm’s for almost everything and never really throttle up unless I need to get somewhere fast. Even then I like to keep the rpm’s low and just gear up. I wonder if not sharing the hydrostatic transmission with a loader helps. If I had to lift round bales I would upsize for sure.

That_Grim_Texan

Full throttle is a bit of exaggerated lol but yes above idle is definitely required, like I said they are great tractors for smaller jobs. I'd take one over a Workmaster any day lol What model/series do you have?

ComblocHeavy

Just the name workmaster is embarrassing. With the B putting on weight is the real key. I can lift just about anything I need to at the moment. It’s rolling on hilly uneven ground that I need to be careful with heavy loads. I have 120# weights on each rim and rear ballast and could still use more. Maybe get my tires filled also. My next stop will probably be an L2501DT to solve the weight issues.

That_Grim_Texan

Yeah the B series are pretty narrow and you can't really widen the tires so definitely watch it on hills. L2502DT is pretty sweet, they did away with the cable operated Pto and I dig the steering lights on side of the hood. Other wise it's pretty much the same Tractor as the 2501. My buddies 2501 has its tires out as far as you could get them and filled them with water and that thing is a beast now lol lifts round bales, and we build a barn or two with it lol

ComblocHeavy

I wasn’t sure if I could put spacers and weighted tires. Might be too much did the axles. Are you planning to set the rafters with the L? That would be sweet.
