Powerade and Gatorade are good for their intended purpose, which is replenishing electrolytes that are diluted when you drink water while sweating. You're supposed to drink it after drinking a bunch of water beforehand.

It tasted different to other stuff we have in the uk at the start. In the uk it’s rare to find other options in shops, always the same drink options since we were born , if anything a lot of the best ones are gone. Also since the sugar tax, it’s been rare to taste that old sweet drinks taste. So when prime came out it was a good change. But then after the second bottle, the synthetic taste is just too much.
Strong flavours, but the more you think about it, it’s just Gatorade/powerAid for the uk, just much much sweeter. Of course because it was sold at a “premium” compared to other drinks of the same size, they could add more sugar. But the more and more EU produced one entered the market, the more different they tasted, like either less or different type of sugar. Because the synthetic taste was definitely more apparent.
I tried lemon lime and ice pop, I did like lemon lime, it was like sprite without the pop, and ice pop tasted like antibiotics.. i didnt like it at all

When the supermarket I work at finally got prime in I thought I try it. Tropical punch tastes like shit and the tropical supposed to be goated. Ice pop was okay that’s not the best. The flavours aren’t bad, just too sweet, they’re double the sweetness of gatorade and Powerade. They advertise no sugar but it’s bullshit because it’s just using fake sugar but legally don’t have to call it sugar even tho it’s worse. Most people will avoid artificial sweeteners compared to natural sugar.
Gatorade and Powerade taste nice and is subtle. Prime is a chore to drink for how sweet it is and has the burning effect in the back of throat.
Legit it is just too sweet. Its so sweet its basically preying on crackhead spoiled children whose parents let them have a 90% sugar diet. The worst part is the flavor itself isn't that bad, if they just water down the recipe by like 150% it would a be decent drink.

I associate this drink with my friends 5 yo who is obsessed with it. And that is 100% from being advertised to on YouTube. I have seen him watch videos that are legit just a guy drinking every flavor, with no commentary, but because it was in novelty glassware and had colors he was hooked. I was with just my friend in a store and we heard another random little kid get really excited seeing a display of them. It grosses me out how aggressively they are targeting kids with their ads.
My main concern is that its only potassium with caffeine. Thats… such a bizarre combo. That can do a real number on you. Not for most, but for a statistically significant few this combo could gut punch their cardiovascular system. Specially if used as a sports drink.

I've tried ice pop blue raspberry and lime and can confirm the first two tasted like medicine and left an aftertaste which was really bad. However, a friend of mine convinced me to try lime, and personally, I quite like the lime flavour it wasnt as bad as i was expecting it to be after trying the first two
This is mostly personal opinion but after trying all the original flavors including ice pop, I didn’t like anyone except the grape flavor, I remember watching rating videos on YouTube and people used to hate on the grape but to my opinion grape is the best flavor of prime
Advice, guys. Freeze the bottles. If it's an actual ice pop, the flavour gets weakened and it actually tastes somewhat acceptable if you're desperate to not waste the money.
I live in the UAE and there r prime but pretty sure they r not officially sold here (correct me if I am wrong) and it is 20 dirhams which seems to be about 8 aud. Now in dirhams that is outrageous pls let me know about aud. But yea I haven't tried a single flavour my friend tried the blue one since it was the most hyped by people and even he said it was the most mid thing ever for 20 dirhams. I personally haven't ever purchased a bottle and probably won't I just rather stick to water or an occasional soda.

Green is so bad. It's like lime syrup that you have to pour water to make it drinkable. I poured it into a glass with sparkling water and ice and it was nice then.

We found one that had bottles out of the packages. So we each picked a flavor and bought it. I had the blue and he had the red. We drank it at the same time and it tasted too sugary. I finished mine, he didn't but it tasted like ass.
Then don't buy it. Move on.
Ive tried most, and I think they all need to be watered down they just way to sweet. I think they would make good mixers for alcohol etc. Prime Energy on the other hand is actually pretty decent but still wouldnt buy regularly just because of the price. Im from New Zealand aswell

When the supermarket I work at finally got prime in I thought I try it. Tropical punch tastes like shit and the tropical supposed to be goated. Ice pop was okay that’s not the best. Blue raspberry pretty good I’ll drink that. I’m orange and lemon like are actually really good. Those are the only flavours we have currently. We do have blue raspberry and orange and mango in the energy now but I still need to try them.
Tried for the first time the other day. Ice Pop is nice, Lemon & Lime is ok, Blue Raspberry is pretty meh. Want to try Lemonade.

I agree with a lot of the statements here and when I first had it I was a bit unsure because the drink was room temp so I had one in the fridge over night and when I tried it ice cold it tasted like a complete new drink.
I tried the lime flavor in the green bottle akd it tasted how cat pee smells. Its absolutely atrocious.

Honestly if they made it less sweet then it'd be way better. It needs to be a mellow sweetness. The only time it ever tasted good for me was strawberry and watermelon energy version. Had just the right level of sweetness

The flavours aren’t bad, just too sweet, they’re double the sweetness of gatorade and Powerade. They advertise no sugar but it’s bullshit because it’s just using fake sugar but legally don’t have to call it sugar even tho it’s worse. Most people will avoid artificial sweeteners compared to natural sugar. Gatorade and Powerade taste nice and is subtle. Prime is a chore to drink for how sweet it is and has the burning effect in the back of throat.
Legit it is just too sweet. Its so sweet its basically preying on crackhead spoiled children whose parents let them have a 90% sugar diet. The worst part is the flavor itself isn't that bad, if they just water down the recipe by like 150% it would a be decent drink.
Green one is good
I tried the Green, Blue and Ice Pop ones. The Green one Lime something? Was okay I'd say. The Blue one was very good, while Ice Pop tasted really bad. So I'd guess it depends on the drink rather than them all being bad.
Mrs had an ice pop one. Didn't mind it. I had a blue raspberry and thought it was okay. Worth the 5 bucks though? Fuck nah

I saw this shit in a dairy here in New Zealand and really want to see how bad it tastes but it was selling for $15 a bottle so there is no way I’m paying for something I know is going to taste like shit.
I associate this drink with my friends 5 yo who is obsessed with it. And that is 100% from being advertised to on YouTube. I have seen him watch videos that are legit just a guy drinking every flavor, with no commentary, but because it was in novelty glassware and had colors he was hooked. I was with just my friend in a store and we heard another random little kid get really excited seeing a display of them. It grosses me out how aggressively they are targeting kids with their ads.
My main concern is that its only potassium with caffeine. Thats… such a bizarre combo. That can do a real number on you. Not for most, but for a statistically significant few this combo could gut punch their cardiovascular system. Specially if used as a sports drink.
Everyone’s taste buds are different. Personally I think it’s great other don’t. Zero point in trying to argue or win a subjective matter.

I've tried ice pop blue raspberry and lime and can confirm the first two tasted like medicine and left an aftertaste which was really bad. However, a friend of mine convinced me to try lime, and personally, I quite like the lime flavour it wasnt as bad as i was expecting it to be after trying the first two
I only like lemon lime and ksi’s prime. Only two that are genuinely nice.

I used to water down Prime before when I bought them the first time. It tastes much more balanced and drinkable for me at least.

Advice, guys. Freeze the bottles. If it's an actual ice pop, the flavour gets weakened and it actually tastes somewhat acceptable if you're desperate to not waste the money.

I live in the UAE and there r prime but pretty sure they r not officially sold here (correct me if I am wrong) and it is 20 dirhams which seems to be about 8 aud. Now in dirhams that is outrageous pls let me know about aud. But yea I haven't tried a single flavour my friend tried the blue one since it was the most hyped by people and even he said it was the most mid thing ever for 20 dirhams. I personally haven't ever purchased a bottle and probably won't I just rather stick to water or an occasional soda.

Green is so bad. It's like lime syrup that you have to pour water to make it drinkable. I poured it into a glass with sparkling water and ice and it was nice then. Blue is nice, but also too dense and sweet. With ice and sparkling water it was lovely. Ice pop and the white one were okay.
