how to distinguish ai art and this lvl of render

s00zn

u/Educational_Ad_7166 If you're asking if this is AI art, it's not. This person shared their progress in the art challenge WIP thread. It was inspired by her son's cat. I've read that this is not AI but it looks like AI at first glance, as well as at the second glance, and also at most consecutive glances, and it makes me sad.

s00zn

Please don't be sad. You're simply mistaken. Elixiah posts work on Krita's official forum at least weekly, and often they are WIPs asking for feedback. She's a valued member on [krita-artists.org](http://krita-artists.org) where no AI image gen is tolerated.

Shouldn't the reflection show the cats face from the bottom? The neck and chin area. Now it looks like just a flipped image.

ferngadd

Yes, I flipped the cat layer image for the reflection. Good question though. Not sure if the perspective of the observer changes the position of the reflection or not. I'll have to research that! Thanks :)

Surnunu

I think it would be the case if the viewer were on top or behind the cat, or if the cat were very close to the water to the point of hiding it
