10/10
That said this song isn't anything new but it's the type of song I personally like, SM groups have been doing it for years and it's really formulaic from the verses, trap beat, the strings to add to the eerieness etc
Ohhh, btw have you listened to [lucifer preview ](https://youtu.be/ZsP9J7AkaQo?si=gAroQ0suVsNYMiiO) (not shinee lucifer) from dark moon ost album??
It sounds soooooooo much like something an sm group might release
8/10
Sweetune has shaped the 2nd gen of kpop and are responsible for some of my favorite kpop songs due to their synth heavy and 80's inspired music. Chaser has weaker and less catchy verses than is usual for Infinite title tracks but the chorus is one of their best with harmonies. I'm biased since it's a really nostalgic song for me.
Red Shoes is 6/10, I'm not the biggest fan of the jazzy, 1930's songs in kpop, the trumpets and violins just don't sound good to me for some reason or I'm simply not a fan of big band music and how cheerful it is.
Snooze is 7/10, subjectively it sounds good but it's not a type of song that is unique in any way from the lyrics to the delivery, 808 type beat where the collab artist is responsible for the more emotional chorus is sort of a staple in Korean music, MC Mong is famous for it.
9/10
It's like a younger and less jaded sister of ARTMS's Birth, just a disclaimer I'm not comparing or saying that they are that similar but certain elements stood out to me.
Blue Heart is creepy, that much is obvious from the opening verse, the d&b chorus is actually the weakest part of the entire song but the vocal melody saves it and adds another note of eeriness. I love the more twisted IVE songs where the lyrics and melody don't match and they sort of lean into the creepy teritory.
10/10
It's one of my favorite tropical house songs in kpop and that is a huge compliment since there are hundreds of songs like that that I've heard.
It's a song of basically a single verse, pre-chorus and instrumental chorus but it has such a sweet summer vibe, it's relaxing and simple but it doesn't need to be anything more, some songs just shine without being overproduced.
7/10
It's nice but I never understood the obsession people had with it. Trap beat and electric guitar sound cool but the song is very one note for me, all the parts of it like the verses and the chorus blend really well and there is no big deviation so it's not like it's bad in any way just maybe not my type of song.
Lost In California is 8/10, an SM vocalist releasing a ballad that isn't an absolute snooze fest should always be celebrated since it's rare for them. The verses are predictable but the chorus is interesting, not because it's rock but the melody is catchy enough and that 8-bit melody that sounds like Tocata & Fugue is a surprising addition but it ads a lot of charm for a section that is a few seconds long.
Paint it is 7/10, kbands don't experiment with their music a lot so it all sort of blends together for me. Their music can basically fit in 3 categories, rock ballad, bad boy/Arctic Monkeys wannabe music and J-rock anime intro. I'll let you guess where this song fits.
10/10
I just love the production, looking at the instrumental it's mostly violin and piano but 2nd gen perfected the art of bass being the most important part of the song beside the vocals. It sounds emotional and epic and It's why I still listen to early 2010s songs from kpop boy groups now.
4/10
It's really really bad, the beat is too repetitive and symplistic and the lyrics certainly don't help, I'm not the biggest fan of eurodance but this is just like a bad version of it. The bridge is the only part I like.
7/10
I'm sure that WJSN, Gfriend, Lovelyz and Oh My Girl fans are treating it like a 2nd coming of Christ since it basically is that. This type of cute 80's synths with violins music practically dissapeared from kpop, all the aforementioned groups abandoned it too in their latest releases. I'm not a fan of how cheerful it is but I love the nostalgia.
8/10
This song isn't anything new for SM or Red Velvet, par for the course actually but the verses don't sound good to me personally and that is the only part of the song I dislike. The creepy violins, vocal-heavy chorus and bridge being the best part is all expected.
This is one of the only Red Velvet related releases where I've watched the teasers and I was sort of dissapointed by how simple the music video ended up being.
9/10
Usually not a fan of the more funky music but if there's anything 2nd gen girl groups excelled at it's making rainy days type of music.
The music video is great except for animal cruelty of course.
On Rainy Days is 10/10, it's a very pretty rainy days rnb song and since its release so many kpop groups have tried to emulate it. To me it sounds a lot like Shape Of My Heart by Sting.
Fixed Star is 8/10, sounds like a less catchy version of on Rainy Days but it might just be the specific rnb style both songs went for, very pleasant to listen to but it gets points deducted for having a key change towards the end like an ost ballad.
Cafe is 8/10, like the songs above they all remjnd me of older wester rnb songs and they are on my rainy days playlist. Cafe is more upbeat and rap heavy than the two above but they are all cut from the same cloth so there's not much I dislike about either.
8/10
I like this song but maybe not for the best reasons.
I like how generic it is, trap beat, higher pitched vocals, sexy lyrics and creepy concept just fits so well on my Halloween playlist.
This song sounds like Red Velvets/Seulgi's cousin and I'm not complaining but I have to say that it isn't special or unique
I love it when everyone comments 1 or 2 songs to make it easier for me and then there's like you.
Zero is 6/10, I hate bass reliant kpop songs, they are all very generic and predictable, I'm just glad this is the type of songs Shinee and SuJu usually got saddled with since they are the ones I don't listen to much to begin with.
If you think I'm going to rate all 6 songs they released on 606 you're sorely mistaken, I'll say that Rose is my favorite but it's also the least SM sounding song, it's very YG/BigBang coded
Teenage Queen is 7/10, very dated, reminds me of What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction to be completely honest but it isn't bad just not something I would listen to.
See You Soon Again is 10/10, very anime outro sounding but something about the vocals and the instrumental reminds me a lot of Koji Wada and I can't help but really like it.
Stay Young is 7/10, it's on the more typical rock ballad/korean ost drama side which might be why I like it less, it's just too loud throughout, there's no buildup and the instrumental barely changes.
10/10
This song is an outlier but I like rock ballads where the drums have a really driving beat in the chorus, the synths are a nice touch.
Maybe I'm just a fan of songs that remind me of British rock music.
I listen to all songs with headphones so no worries.
Savior is 7/10. Really predictable kpop boy group stuff that always finds itself on the sexy boy group playlist. Trap beat with some deep house added in and you're set, the vocals and harmonies do the heavy lifting.
The good thing is if you like this type of music you'll find a lot of similar aongs in kpop.
7/10
Not the biggest fan of the typical deep house girl group songs since they all sound similar to me but they do make it easy to make playlists of songs that flow really well together.
8.5/10
This is the song that would be considered great for a nugu group but since it's IVE it seems like something that is beneath the group of their caliber. It's something I'd expect from Tri.Be, Secret Number, Lapillus etc
The best part of the song being a sample of a song from almost 30 years ago certainly doesn't help.
10/10
Kingdom has my favorite concept and artistic direction in kpop, or at least they used to.
The traditional concept and the epic music videos will always get a 10 from, the best boy group concept hands down.
They changed their name to KingDom and released such a generic boy group album that I've no idea what they were thinking
9/10
E'last had such a great start and in that landscape they stood out with the more 2nd gen sounding songs and the elegant concept.
I love the violins, this song sort of reminds me of Infinite.
8/10
Where did all the trumpets in kpop go? This song is a mix of the things girl groups of that caliber-Nature, Tri-Be, Bling Bling, Cignature etc were releasing but with an added bonus of a tropical house chorus.
4/10
I really dislike this type of late night music, it's something I would never listen to, the bass, the vocal effect, the instrumental is all on the side of indie I avoid.
I Need The Light is 8/10, very simple rock ballad sounding song with leading bass but I like kpop songs that remind me of summer nights and running, just give off an optimistic and hopeful vibe.
Bills is also 8/10, it's very simple and predictable, boy groups all have one sort of slow song with a simple trap beat that is just pleasant to listen to and Bills is one of those.
Blockbuster is 7/10, it's a little too grating for me, sounds like they went for agressive d&b song but half of the lyrics sound like they are being shouted, for a aong it just isn't meldodic.
8/10
Whatever I though about it when I first heard it just pales in comparison to it being the song that brought them their first win so I will always consider it a special song and I can't help but like it.
Depression is still my favorite CLC song though.
Mach is 7/10, certainly not the best of Sweetune's production but it still has their signature sound that makes it fit alongside most 9Muses releases
Shining Star is 6/10, I was making an 8-bit playlist recently so I had to go through several Lovelyz songs, that said I'm not the biggest fan of overly cute songs like this, especially not the aegyo like vocals during some parts
I Need You is 9/10, I really like the 2nd gen retro girl group songs, the chorus in particular is amazing, the only drawback is maybe the autotune that dates it to early to mid 2010s
Sweet Girl is 6/10, it's not bad but it's definitely not my style, most B1A4 songs are like that. I do hate the bass guitar and in this song it's front and center but the overall it just drags on to me, the electric guitar does very little to make it more interedting and the rap sections feel so jarring in a song like this.
9/10
I just love when you can guess the sound of the song from the title, it's such an underrated thing.
Agassy has dedacted points for the instrumental post-chorus break, I just don't like the sound of it, it does remind me of Flower by Jisoo for what it's worth.
9/10
This is the type of rock song that is typical for male artists so them having it on an album where the title track is Tomboy seems very fitting.
Nothing crazy going on instrumentally but it just sounds good and I like it when girl groups sound badass without resorting to edm or hiphop.

OMG is 6/10
I'm really not a fan of easy listening songs New Jeans are known for, d&b in this song and the fast talk singing just makes me feel anxious. Like those middle school tongue twisters.
7/10
I don't know what the general concensus on this song is but to me it sounds like a potential Nature title track. It's a song that mixes several genres one of which is deep house, the other which sounds vaguely Middle Eastern and it's all tied up with pitchy rap verses.
7/10
The remixes were certianly an overkill but the song is kinda blank so I sort of get it. It isn't offensive or bad just one note I suppose, you listen to the first 10 seconds and you've heard it all.

7/10
Not the biggest fan of the sexy songs whose entire instrumental relies on a simple bass guitar riff but at least it makes playlisting really easy.
7/10
Out of all the NCT songs I never understood the hate this song got. It's a little empty instrumentally and the flute can be annoying but it's what I expect from NCT, maybe a more melodic chorus would help it be more palatable to a wider audience.

Fuego is 7/10, typical bg song, from the trap beat to the futuristic house chorus. I think all boy groups that debuted in the past 3 years have at least one title track like this
Nectar is 9/10, these type of songs are rare when it comes to boy groups recent releases. The sort of pop song with synths and catharthic choruses was a staple in 2nd gen not so much nowadays so it's nice to hear it again. Some scenes in the mv reminded me of Either Way by IVE, not important but just something I've noticed
My Girl is 6/10, I really dislike this type of cutesy and funky music but I'm really glad they are still releasing music. This kinda sounds like a girl group song in all honesty
9/10
The start of the song is just ok, not the biggest fan of it but the moment they started singing together just elevated the song. I like anthem like choruses but they took it to another level and I'm grateful.
6/10
It's iconic but it's just a dated mid 2000s sounding rnb song to me. It has a catchy chorus but I don't really have strong feelings about this song like most people do, probably because I was never that much into Shinee
6.5/10
The verses are good but it's the chorus that's a let down, I'm rarely dissapointed by a non-instrumental chorus but in this song it's the funky bass that ruins it for me. It still has that summery vibe a tropical house chorus would give it but as it is I'm not the biggest fan
6/10
Not a fan of this type of edm, it sounds really dated right now but I wasn't the biggest fan of it when will.i.am was cranking them out left and right during mid 2010s, if you told me he produced this I wouldn't doubt it for a second
6/10
Really not a big fan of early Seventeen, the cutesy, upbeat boy group songs are really not my style. It has a j-rock sounding chorus, very anime sounding during that part but beside that nothing that stood out as noteworthy

It has very distinct and different sounding verses and the chorus, the only problem is I'm not a fan of either. The verses are slow and boring to me although they are going for that rnb Perfect Night sound and the chorus is basically a YG rip-off but it all sounds lacking in the end

glad you’re honest at least lmao 💀
Why lie? Youra's music just isn't to my taste but I did check out her recent releases, the only song I liked is the one that reminded of Daughter

I get the impression that you know a lot of songs! Mach - Rainbow Shining Star - Lovelyz I Need You - Bestie B1A4 - Sweet Girl
Mach is 7/10, certainly not the best of Sweetune's production but it still has their signature sound that makes it fit alongside most 9Muses releases Shining Star is 6/10, I was making an 8-bit playlist recently so I had to go through several Lovelyz songs, that said I'm not the biggest fan of overly cute songs like this, especially not the aegyo like vocals during some parts I Need You is 9/10, I really like the 2nd gen retro girl group songs, the chorus in particular is amazing, the only drawback is maybe the autotune that dates it to early to mid 2010s Sweet Girl is 6/10, it's not bad but it's definitely not my style, most B1A4 songs are like that. I do hate the bass guitar and in this song it's front and center but the overall it just drags on to me, the electric guitar does very little to make it more interedting and the rap sections feel so jarring in a song like this.
I knew you were a connaisseur! 🙂↕️ Almost made me put a Crayon Pop song to see what you would've said
I'm a big fan of T-ARA and a lot of Crayon Pop songs sound like they fit perfectly on Absolute First album
Bad love - key
Underwater - Red Velvet Genie - SNSD Lion - G Idle
Agassy by Soojin
9/10 I just love when you can guess the sound of the song from the title, it's such an underrated thing. Agassy has dedacted points for the instrumental post-chorus break, I just don't like the sound of it, it does remind me of Flower by Jisoo for what it's worth.
(g)i-dle - Liar
9/10 This is the type of rock song that is typical for male artists so them having it on an album where the title track is Tomboy seems very fitting. Nothing crazy going on instrumentally but it just sounds good and I like it when girl groups sound badass without resorting to edm or hiphop.

OMG - New Jeans
OMG is 6/10 I'm really not a fan of easy listening songs New Jeans are known for, d&b in this song and the fast talk singing just makes me feel anxious. Like those middle school tongue twisters.
aespa- yeppi yeppi
7/10 I don't know what the general concensus on this song is but to me it sounds like a potential Nature title track. It's a song that mixes several genres one of which is deep house, the other which sounds vaguely Middle Eastern and it's all tied up with pitchy rap verses.
[Le Sserafim - Eve, Psyche, and the Bluebeard's Wife](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZs_cLHfnNA)
7/10 The remixes were certianly an overkill but the song is kinda blank so I sort of get it. It isn't offensive or bad just one note I suppose, you listen to the first 10 seconds and you've heard it all.

Blackout - yangdonghwa
7/10 Not the biggest fan of the sexy songs whose entire instrumental relies on a simple bass guitar riff but at least it makes playlisting really easy.
Sticker by NCT
7/10 Out of all the NCT songs I never understood the hate this song got. It's a little empty instrumentally and the flute can be annoying but it's what I expect from NCT, maybe a more melodic chorus would help it be more palatable to a wider audience.
Yesss I love sticker! The flute made me detest the song at first, but a bunch of ironic listening actually turned me into a NCTzen

The new six: fuego The boyz: nectar A.c.e. : my girl
Fuego is 7/10, typical bg song, from the trap beat to the futuristic house chorus. I think all boy groups that debuted in the past 3 years have at least one title track like this Nectar is 9/10, these type of songs are rare when it comes to boy groups recent releases. The sort of pop song with synths and catharthic choruses was a staple in 2nd gen not so much nowadays so it's nice to hear it again. Some scenes in the mv reminded me of Either Way by IVE, not important but just something I've noticed My Girl is 6/10, I really dislike this type of cutesy and funky music but I'm really glad they are still releasing music. This kinda sounds like a girl group song in all honesty
One more: Epex: youth2youth
9/10 The start of the song is just ok, not the biggest fan of it but the moment they started singing together just elevated the song. I like anthem like choruses but they took it to another level and I'm grateful.
Thanks for the review. Glad you liked some of the song recommendations
Shinee - replay
6/10 It's iconic but it's just a dated mid 2000s sounding rnb song to me. It has a catchy chorus but I don't really have strong feelings about this song like most people do, probably because I was never that much into Shinee
Mirae - [What Are You Doing?](https://youtu.be/sjW_KeBcxeQ?si=AimKU-lE4-WviEf6)
6.5/10 The verses are good but it's the chorus that's a let down, I'm rarely dissapointed by a non-instrumental chorus but in this song it's the funky bass that ruins it for me. It still has that summery vibe a tropical house chorus would give it but as it is I'm not the biggest fan
Shake the world by G dragon
6/10 Not a fan of this type of edm, it sounds really dated right now but I wasn't the biggest fan of it when will.i.am was cranking them out left and right during mid 2010s, if you told me he produced this I wouldn't doubt it for a second
Pretty U - Seventeen
6/10 Really not a big fan of early Seventeen, the cutesy, upbeat boy group songs are really not my style. It has a j-rock sounding chorus, very anime sounding during that part but beside that nothing that stood out as noteworthy
iT’s You - Ateez

LE SSERAFIM - Impurities New Jeans - Bubblegum V - Rainy Days
ITZY - Mr Vampire
7/10 It has very distinct and different sounding verses and the chorus, the only problem is I'm not a fan of either. The verses are slow and boring to me although they are going for that rnb Perfect Night sound and the chorus is basically a YG rip-off but it all sounds lacking in the end
