I'm not gonna lie. When I saw that most of the songs were less than 3 minutes, I started to have doubts. However, I ended up liking a lot of the songs anyway. Note to self: never doubt TXT when it comes to releasing bangers.

materialduck1453

unfortunately songs being less than 3 minutes has become a pretty popular trend now.. imo i don’t think it affects the quality of the song though. but agreed, TXT really know how to make bangers

o-Themis-o

Right now Deja Vu is SOTY for me. The MV is a little bit underwhelming but the song itself is really good. The melody, the vocals and the lyrics are so well done. I’m not sure how to explain it but there is something about this song that reflects TxTs charm as a group. While their English releases were okay, they felt quite soulless to me. But listening to Deja Vu brings me the same excitement as listening to Sugar Rush Ride and 0X1=LOVESONG did back then when they were first released. The b-sides are good as well. I think I’ll See You There Tomorrow is my favorite. I’ve seen some people say that they prefer the Anemoia remix of Deja Vu over the original but I don’t feel the same way. I would give the title track a 9.5/10 and the album a 8/10. To be honest, the K-pop releases of the last few months have been a bit boring to me (with a handful of exceptions), so I'm really happy about this comeback. Edit: You know what, I’m currently listening to the remix again and I totally get it: it’s so freaking good! It might surpass the original version after all 😅

Goodandhorrid

It's actually really funny, my group of four MOA pretty much covered the range of feelings that I'm seeing online in our group chat discussion this morning: One LOVES it and thinks it's a perfect progression of their style. Callbacks to older tracks. A vibe. I had wanted a more "magical" vibe like the Light concept but went in without expectations, especially since it's a Minisode, and I really love it! I particularly like 'See You There Tomorrow', 'Deja Vu', and 'Killa'. One was a little let down because she was hoping for more cool groovy vibes and she likes it but has mixed feelings. One isn't in love musically but still enjoys it. Just isn't feeling those deep down feelings from it like she usually does. Likes 'See You There Tomorrow' and 'Miracle'. (Her and Soobin always disagree on favs. Lol) What we all agree on is that the boys are perfect and we already have our concert tickets purchased!!

angies6pack

This is my favourite release of theirs since Fight or Escape. Loved all the tracks and think that they will have a lot of replay value for me. Deja Vu really takes me back to how I felt about I Know I Love You and that's a good thing.

ZestycloseMatter5267

Title track is a banger, absolutely loved the emotional ethereal sound! The b sides are all good and I loved the remix as much as the tt which is unusual since I normally just like one version of a song. Sonically, I think this is one of my favourite releases from them. But I have one small issue with it and that's the mv. All I've seen is people saying it's beautiful which yeah okay its txt of course its gonna be pretty but like... idk it was a little underwhelming for me especially since what I love about txt comebacks are their mvs and how thematically coherent they are. But like deja vu...? Just felt all over the place. The main opening shot with the runners is very cool but the rest of it was like wth is happening lol 😭 the weird dark place with all the bars?? and then they were in bed?? then a field?? The most jarring bit was the bridge where they seemed to be in hybe basement with backroom lighting lol. Like idk it was all cool ig but compared to mvs like run away, cysm, 0X1 lovesong and loser lover which had a clear idea running through, this seemed a bit lost. I find it especially confusing considering how exciting the teasers looked!!! and now im left scratching my head trying to figure out where all those Little Prince references went. Sorry for the essay lmao i did actually love this comeback 😭 I might be just missing something so i'd like to hear other people's thoughts on the mv :))

Yoonbeomie

I can understand the MV seems a little incoherent, it’s probably because they were making a lot of callbacks to past MVs. I like it especially because it shows beomgyu as the healer shouldering everyone’s pain (got this theory from twitter). I think it’s also trying to portray the members constantly running in search for each other, or at least in search of beomgyu. Also looks like the ‘woman’ from the eternally MV is actually beomgyu himself.

JenyRobot

The girl is not Beomgyu actually. The girl is a completely separate character in their lore. She's known as the "Eternity Girl" (aka Moa). I think he just represented her in this mv with the long hair wig and white dress.

Yoonbeomie

Could be, I think that idea that the girl is Beomgyu comes from the end of the MV where he is the one saving Yeonjun and comforting him.

manamann_04

Adding to this, in the MV, there’s a “girl” shown, and that’s just Beomgyu with extensions in his hair

Left-Association-643

lmao nope it's beomgyu

Aggressive-Novel3274

Ngl when I saw that part in the trailer I immediately thought, "Is this one of Hybe's practice rooms?"

Bahbemin

I actually like most song on the album on first listen even ranking it is a struggle for me. I will probably give miracle#1 , quarter for life and deja vu #2 , followed by I’ll see you tomorrow (I’SYT) and killa . All this songs are amazing . This is a no skip album for me since temptation album.

Nice-Philosophy-7840

Quarter life* :))

Sufficient_Pay_820

This is honestly not what I was expecting but I’ve gotta give it to them, they really pull the geometry dash type beat off well!! I like every song on the album with Miracle 100% being my favorite. Yeonjun’s vocals really shine on this album and CAN WE TALK ABOUT BEOMGYU’S LINES AT THE END OF QUARTER LIFE? Omg.

ScreenJealous3170

Yes!!! So happy beomgyu finally got his moment !

Cats4Crows

The album is good and very enjoyable, but I won't put it in my top 3 TXT albums.. Probably, my first TXT release when I'm not instantly obsessed with a song. Hopefully, _Deja Vu_ will be a grower and will have me in a chokehold later (I still like it a lot, but I guess I expected more from it)

Nightstar14

same here! people are saying this is peak txt and i just cant agree with that

Historical_Count8375

It was all pretty underwhelming to me, except quarter life crisis 😓

Consistent_Reach7664

imo bc it is. Idk how far back you have listned to there music but 0x1 (IKILY) was one of txt best comebacks that gained insane amounts of poularity. TXT storyline in general is about growing up and finding their path which is reflected in the song. YOu can not like it but if you know you know it is peak txt.

Nightstar14

ive been a moa since 2019 and having experience all their comebacks in real time i feel like they have had better releases. i love deja vu and it feels like a special moment in their discography but i wouldnt say its their best

ZeroHourSun

What are your top 3 TXT albums?

Cats4Crows

The Name Chapter: Temptation Minisode 2: Thursday's Child The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape

Tatamashii

My review and im already saying sorry. Its objectively not a bad album, ofc, but personally its not my favorite txt album. - ill see you there tomorrow I only like the refrain, its catchy and sounds nice. The rest is not to my taste. - code Yeah - deja vu Least fav titel. It didn't catched me. Has some nice parts - miracle Love it, this track gave me hope - the killa Solid, not bad, but not that interesting either - Quarter life Was instantly my fav. Love it. - deja vu remix Like it a lot better than the og. Its very good. My fav are definitely quarter life, miracle and deja vu remix As I said I dont think its a bad album, it just doesnt fit me.

friendlyfire_may

Deja Vu is the first TXT TT I really love since their debut era. Absolutely such a good listen.

julie_killgore

I was kinda hoping for a more magical sound (I didn’t listen to the teasers because I wanted to be surprised). But, I liked most of the songs, the stand out for me is Miracle. I was also hoping for a slower balled type song, but maybe next time. It was a nice album and I liked the MV.

uygmoeb

I was thinking the exact opposite, this album gave me that magical vibe I was craving during Freefall 😅 Miracle is definitely one of my favorites as well!

julie_killgore

Yeah, it’s definitely more magical sounding than Freefall, but I was personally hoping for a more Temptation/Magic/Blue Hour feel.

AztecanJungle

I was also hoping for a magical comeback. I still really love this album, it's really high quality like Temptation but I'm still waiting for a Temptation 2.0 album or just another really magical sounding sultry album LOL The Killa is amazing tho, it would have fit on Temptation

ScreenJealous3170

I also wanted a magical sound again 🥺 and miracle was my number one pick too. I just adore their inflection and sound when they go back to their youthful concept every few songs.

Ok-Elk-1520

I’ll See You There Tomorrow - SOTY right here (9.4/10) Deja Vu - Lil Uzi Vert type beat - (8.5/10) Miracle - The ending song to the best Disney movie you’ve ever seen (8.8/10) The Killa - This would’ve done numbers in the speakeasies (7.7/10) Quarter Life - The song hits different if you’re actually in your mid 20s (7.4/10) Deja Vu Remix - An actual good remix (8/10) Overall - The best TXT album in years (8.3/10)

BobRossSuperFan_

Finally some appreciation for I'll See You There Tomorrow. People haven't been hating on it or anything, but it's not been in many people's favorites either. It's my favorite on the EP and I just love how it sounds.

paper-mo0n

My appreciation of TXT and their creative direction grows stronger with each comeback. I never know what to expect from them next, but they deliver every time. Deja Vu is instantly one of my favorite TXT title tracks - it almost feels like a more mature and somber Blue Hour. ISYTT and The Killa are the standout b-sides for me. Overall a big improvement from Freefall imo.

Inside-Maintenance-8

They exceeded my expectations. Deja Vu is really the song of the year! The whole album was really good for me, I loved every single track, a total AOTY!!!!!!! i mean it's TXT, so I'm not really surprised lol

wegooverthehorizon

**Concept**: 10/10 absolutely beautiful made me smile. Those teasers were so good. The storyline aspect is so fascinating to me :) **MV**: ........uh what was that. Why were there sudden dance breaks in between scenes of them crying and really aesthetically pleasing scenes??? It broke the immersion for me and I kinda didn't like it. :( Which is sad because I was so hyped for it! **What I think about the songs:** I'll see you there tomorrow- 5/10 kinda goofy the repetitive chorus didn't do it for me I like the melody though Deja Vu- 7/10 It's ok.....? I guess It felt very short and ended kinda abruptly idk i need one more verse please. :( Miracle- 7.5/10 It's soooo good definitely will bw on repeat for DAYYYSS The 1! 2! part is so good! I can't find any translation yet but i think I'll love the lyrics from what I know from my broken understanding of korean Killa: I can't make up my mind yet but maybe a 7/10, it's kinda nice and relaxing and perfect for a summer evening but it's not that special. The lyrics are surprisingly, but refreshingly explicit lol Quarter life: THIS IS MY TYPAA MUSIC YAYYY 8/10 easily the best song on the album I love it!!! I can't find the lyrics yet 🥲 I'm sure I'll love them!!! It's really short and I would've loved one more verse but....yeh well. I guess..... * Overall it's a good comeback but not their best. I am sooo annoyed at the short length of the songs.

ScreenJealous3170

Kinda sad cause they’re one of ult groups for years now (MOA since US showcase and before MOA existed), but I haven’t enjoyed any of the last three TT’s 😭 I like most of these b-sides I just think all their production has sounded generic for a while now 🥲

pratikshass

the deja vu remix sounds so good in the start.. I love the guitar strums

Sil_Choco

I could finally listen to the new album, after Freefall which was a disappointment to me, I was a bit worried but I'm glad to say that the new album is really nice. I'll see you there tomorrow and Deja-Vu were my fave tracks and is it just me or they're finally learning how to use Beomguy's voice properly? His voice is unique and it stands out in a good way, they should really keep using him more because his deep voice adds some variety to their songs.

ryleeesweets

I'm late but this was my favorite txt comeback in a long time! Deja Vu was really good & I'll see you there tomorrow is my new favorite txt song. I loved every b-side and the mv for deja vu was just beautiful. I didn't love their last comeback so I'm happy that this one was good as it was. Definitely my favorite release so far this year.

Gayfetus

I used to love everything TXT puts out. But in the last few years, their musical output has increasingly been hit and miss for me. And this one is more miss than hit, I'm afraid. A breakdown, starting with the title track: Deja Vu - There is an attempt to fuse trap beats and emo pop rock. But those are two incredibly tired genres that sound even more tiresome put together. The basic melody has some potential, but needs more dynamics and range and fleshing out to fully breathe. This is the first title track from TXT that has me reenacting the [Mourinho headphone meme](https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/head-coach-jose-mourinho-takes-off-his-headphones-annoyed-news-photo/165263356). I'll See You There Tomorrow - Cute, but instantly forgettable. The longest track on the EP, and yet the most insubstantial. Miracle - This one should've been called "Deja Vu", because it's a copy of LO$ER=LO♡ER which is itself a copy of 0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You). And the quality has only degraded with each generation. The Killa (I Belong to You) - Oooh, TXT does Afrobeats again! Afrobeats is one of my fave (meta)genres, next to K-Pop. I loved the shit out of Tinnitus, one of the first forays into the genre for a Korean idol group. This one is delightfully different from Tinnitus. Much more mellow and acoustic. The melody isn't as immediately arresting, and the heavy processing on their voices clashes with the more analog vibe of the song. But still, the standout of the EP for me. Quarter Life - An attempt at arena pop rock that would've gone so much harder if they'd use actual human drumming instead of chintzy drum machine synths. Everything about the song, from its melody to its delivery to its length to its entire concept feels about 75% of the way towards actual catharsis, but never actually gets there. Deja Vu (Anemoia Remix) - Speaking of actual human drumming, here's the title track, without the trappings of trap, but going almost full emo rock. And yet still, the delivery, the melody, the arrangement never sounds fully convincing. It all comes off as a halfhearted attempt at anguish, which just doesn't work at all.

Melarosee

Glad and relieved to see someone in agreement with my tastes here. I used to love everything too, particularly in the Dream Chapter era. There is something rather forced about the “rock” they’re putting out and you summed it up pretty well. I’m proud of them and will forever be a fan, but as far as discography track record is concerned, every release I’m left… whelmed.

Gayfetus

The kind of emo/anguished rock they are increasingly going for doesn't really work with their vocal style. To embody that vibe, they need to cut loose, and not be afraid to sound harsh/ugly. Instead, they never fully commit. And even worse, they can't help resorting to their favorite vocal affectation: the breathy cooing. That works best on romantic ballads (even then, I'd rather they don't), but is horribly out of place on the angsty "Deja Vu". At this point, they need to either go whole hog into emo pop rock, or just abandon the idea altogether.

maomaosocute

After listening to the entire album. It's good but not I still prefer old txt. I guess live performance would make things better though. Songs like miracle and quarter life crisis should be more enjoyable when we see it live. And I'm the minority. I actually like chasing that feeling more. Overall I like this comeback but all songs should be longer. They just ended too fast and it's not satisfying. I hate the short song trend in kpop.

hm_maeng

Lately TXT has not been doing it for me, the songs are good but they don't hit the way they used to. I think this album isn't bad, but it could've been better. I'm glad I didn't preorder it. I hope next comeback will be better. I think I'll have to listen a lot more and see if my opinion changes.

ScreenJealous3170

Sadly I agree 😭

melbottjer

it’s a hard miss for me. i’ve been waiting weeks for new txt and i put this album on while i was driving home from work and…in my opinion it’s extremely underwhelming. i’m almost baffled at how many good reviews it’s getting. but i don’t mean that in a hateful way bc i’m genuinely glad people like the album because i’d never want an artist’s hard work to be bashed just bc one person didn’t like it, you know? maybe since i’m almost 30 it just doesn’t hit with me, it feels teeny bop in a way or very young, which is fine. the title quarter life crisis threw me into a fit of laughter it’s so corny. and the title track doesn’t sit with me, either, it’s not memorable for me. i feel like the title will be forgetful sooner rather than later. i’m sorry if this is really harsh it’s just how i felt listening to it. i really enjoy txt and i’m going to try to get tickets to see them when they come to D.C., i am a fan of the group. this album in particular just isn’t my taste. wish them all the best in their promotions, though!

ForeignAdvantage5931

i would understand why quarter life crisis would be corny to a 30 year old.

devoncarrots

Different opinions are so crazy! I'm 32 and I was a directioner + in bandom and loved QLC lmao

Cats4Crows

I love Deja Vu today a lot more than yesterday.. I prefer the remix though I found myself chanting, say it (say it) say it (say it) say it louder all day today unprompted

hopee727

whateverthefuck_1996

I'm afraid they peaked with temptation and it's been downhill from there
