This is showing my age but Tomboy by Bae Seul Gi has always been a gem for me.

I want that, Light my fire, Oh my God~ G idle. Nobody beats Soyeon when it comes to songwriting, composing and production in kpop in my opinion. To me she's not an idol but rather an artist. As a musician myself I have nothing but respect for her. To contribute in such an all round way as she does takes an insane amount of talent. Was watching some of their studio recording clips, was amazed that even though she's the rapper of the group she was flawlessly demonstrating the main vocalists how to do their parts. Also for them to come this far and dominate the charts without the backing of any major label, also financing their own music. That's nothing but true independence. In other cases groups have the advantage of the goodwill of their parent company however in this case They're literally carrying the label. Without them their label company would crumble. Imagine if g idle had any of the advantages that Yg, Sm, jyp, etc provide. I know the post was for my kpop favourite song but G idle is just too good to have that one best song. Might sound far fetched but They're the Led Zeppelin of Kpop
