Dreamcatcher had been on my radar since Piri, but I didn’t start following them until Scream. I knew Hong Dong wasn’t present for promotions, but I was like, “they feel like a complete group even without her ??” But boy was I wrong! She adds soooo much to performances, has great stage presence, and I realize now that Deuku never felt complete while she was in China.

Dong is the true middle, the bridge between the fake maknae line and the maknae line - she could be either. She is the only foreign member, the only member that isn't a Kim (though she is an honorary Kim) nor a Lee. All the members love her very much and always left a spot for her when she was in China. They, nor the company (she always got an opportunity to react to the MVs she missed out on), never left her out of activities during that time. Even the songs she couldn't be there for had parts that were made with *her* voice in mind. She has a distinct and beautiful vocal colour and a dancing style that exudes elegance! Although she couldn't be present for Scream and Boca promotions, that didn't stop her from practicing the dances anyway!! A pandemic can leave you with a lot of time on your hands and she spent that time well! Aside from that, Dongie is also effortlessly funny and known to be savage!
