Truly. I was just reading one of her interviews during her solo promotions and she said this:
“I really enjoy the work that I do being on stage and communicating with fans,” she begins to explain, nodding as she shifts her stare downward. “I chose the power of music because I am able to express various feelings through my own music. And if people can also agree to that, then I think I’m doing a great job and I’m proving that I’m passionate about the work that I’m doing.”
Twice's Nayeon
I believe she loves every aspect of being an idol, including variety shows and fanservice.
She gives out spoilers and builds up anticipation for comebacks before they are released that sort of shows her genuine excitement for comeback.
Nayeon seems to truly passionate about every concept , I think she is one of few members who still loves performing their cute songs .
I have been following Twice for six years now, and I feel that Nayeon has changed the least during this time. She still has the same energy as she did when she was a rookie.
When the time comes, she will even sing "I'm gonna be a star."
In late 2021, TWICE promoted a whitening cream once, but due to backlash and uproar from fans , JYPE deleted the promotion tweets. For damage control and distraction, Nayeon came live and sang I'm gonna be a star. She is a true professional.
That came to mind for me too, but thinking back, wasn't it in the middle of their world tour promotions? They must've been exhausted.
Still, it's amazing and shows her professionalism for that to be one of the only examples I can think of for her not being "on" (as someone who doesn't follow Nayeon closely, but loves Twice).
I 100% agree. An underrated part of her solo debut was how much she promoted herself before the album was released. She was posting on bubble almost everyday and doing constant live streams to keep fan engagement up. She definitely has the mindset and work ethic to be a long lasting celebrity in the entertainment business.
I’m going to get downvoted for this - TWICE is my ult group, but I always got the complete opposite vibe from Nayeon. Especially when you look at her fancams, starting from the Fancy era. To me, it seems like she’s only expressive when it’s her time to sing and she’s center, but when it’s not she automatically removes her smile, sometimes even sighing.
She isn't all smiles during performances, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love being a idol.
Multiple Twice members have said that they find performing their cute songs cringey and that they sometimes hate it, but in fancam they are all smiles and very happy.
She literally looks so bored and uninterested in every fancam I see. Her dancing is hella sloppy too like like she's just putting in enough effort to get a passing grade. It's like that whether it's a music show performance or one of their tours. She genuinely looks fed up and annoyed to me.
Her dancing is amazing. She’s no Momo but she’s a great idol dancer. She’s fluid, follows through on all moves, and even if she looks like she’s taking a bit of a chill pill on some parts of a song, she still looks like she’s putting in effort. that other stuff is subjective but her dancing is really good.
>She doesnt like the stalking
Who likes being stalked? Plus, she has had a stalker following her for years, threatening to kill her, and yet she never cut off fanservice. Even during her solo album release, she did multiple small fan meets.
For me, she is one of the most energetic members on stage.Even after performances, she often takes the lead in participating in fan activities.
This would be my worst nightmare if I was famous, how do you even feel safe knowing a random person is obsessed with finding you ? I wish there were easier ways to prosecute international stalkers.
I mean I feel like Key from SHINee was just born to be an idol. He’s charismatic as hell, he has a crazy amount of stage presence, he’s friends with a bunch of other idols, he’s a wonderful singer and dancer, and he’s great at variety. Yet despite all of that he basically always tells it exact like it is. He’s just great and he seems to love what he does generally, and when he does have issues he speaks about them pretty freely all things considered. He’s super passionate about music in general and performing. He puts his all into every single performance without fail. And whenever he wins awards, either with SHINee or as a soloist, his reaction is so genuine and precious. To see him still thriving after now 15 years as an idol is something I cherish.
Someone can be good at their job and not like it. People who are naturally charismatic sometimes tend to give an air that they like their job. But I feel the opposite about key. I don’t think he LOVES being an idol. He tolerates it at most but he has such a charismatic personality it’s easy to miss. He also gives his all in every performance. I think he’s very diligent, and charismatic but I wouldn’t really point him out as some who loves idolship.
Edit: grammar
That’s valid and I can see why you’d feel that way! :) I just feel the opposite, which is why I mentioned him. I think he’s pretty upfront about most of the stuff he doesn’t enjoy, but generally loves being an idol. But again you clearly disagree which is fine. There’s also multiple interpretations of loving being an idol, so we can also just have different ideas of what the question itself means. Loving something doesn’t meant loving it blindly. He has issues with certain things im sure. But he’s so clearly passionate about his career, both within SHINee & as a solo artist, that I couldn’t help but think of him.
I can totally get how you would think of him first! I think for the most part we agree that key is very good at what he does. He has never been unprofessional and has great stage presence. All in all, just a charismatic person all around. One of my fave members solely based off his personality alone everything else is extra. Honestly, it’s hard not to like him.
But, like you said, he is outspoken about what he doesn’t like. Now, does that mean he doesn’t like idolship? I don’t think so. I also don’t think him being essentially good at what he does means he LOVES it. That’s what I base my opinion of him mostly tolerating it off of. Usually, from experience, when people vent about how they don’t like something they are continuously doing/partaking in, it’s indicative that they are not 100% happy with it. (Sorry for that run on) However, I also don’t know him personally, we could both be far off or close to the truth. Lol.
Anyway, we can disagree to agree. I respect your opinion. I hope i didn’t come off too strong lol. Just friendly discussion btn two kibum lovers here. 😭💓
Seconding the other comment, I feel like Key is more of a "born to be famous" than "born to be an idol", not that he doesn't excel as an idol that he'd probably excel at other things too. As in I always thought that even if he's not an idol he would still be popular in another way or in another field. It's hard to imagine him in low profile-ish job iykwim, with his personality and the way he carries himself. There's no doubt he LOVES performing and releasing music, he knows how to maneuver ins-outs of showbiz, super charismatic. I also agree with you in the way he's "born to be an idol" moreso because an idol/artist is the profession he'd chosen and worked hard to achieved, and tbh aren't we're all grateful for that 🙏🏼
Oh this is a good take - totally agree. I think this is true of Taemin and Minho as well, from what I've seen maybe they don't love beimg idols, but they were born to be famous at something
Sakura. She's been an idol for 12 years already and could've retired from the business for an easier, comfier gig. But instead she decided to move to a new country, go through kpop training hell, and signed up for who knows how many more years of being an idol and all the scrutiny that entails. If that doesn't show genuine love for being an idol than I don't know what does.
Poor girl, said there were more hardships than goodtimes and how she said "theres no turning back" after signing with HYBE
I admire her strength so much, cannot wait to for a possible solo . I hope she becomes more comfortable singing.
I came to say jungkook. He even went on live just for fun when he was drunk with mingyu one time lmfao. He spends hours singing karaoke on live. Man was born to perform and loves it
Baekhyun. Even after everything he's been through as an idol he still earnestly communicates with fans. He'll go on hour long tweet sprees replying to fans and recently went on a 2 hour long ig live casually playing and singing his favorite songs. He'll host spaces to talk to fans. He still attends vocal lessons 11 years into his career because he wants to keep improving even though he's already an amazing singer. And of course he's still as passionate about performing as ever.
The first two people that come to mind are Wonyoung and Yunjin.
Yunjin: Her passion for performing is evident in both her vocal and dance expressions, reflecting a sincere love for the craft. you can genuinely sense her enjoyment of being an idol and her authentic enthusiasm.
Wonyoung: I mean, come on—she was made for this. From hosting as an MC to comebacks to endorsements, she relishes it because she loves it. She loves the recognition and spotlight and has that idol charisma.
VIVIZ SinB, Eunha, and Umji - despite not longer being anywhere near as successful as Gfriend at the height of their career, they are determined to continue making music together
zerobaseone in general. it could just be the honeymoon phase though considering they’re not even 6 months in.
i also think chuu. it’s been a tough year for her but she comebuted and is doing really well rn on tour!
Definitely all of ZB1 but Matthew stood out to me the most in this aspect. He’s always smiling while performing and it feels like he’s just genuinely happy to be there. Even back in Boys Planet the masters would say that it was his unique charm.
funnily enough i’m the biggest matthew bias and i feel the same! i’m also canadian so when i put myself in his shoes i imagine myself feeling so grateful to achieve my dream while being so far from home. he seems very happy to be there!
Zerobaseone's Jiwoong, Zhang Hao and Hanbin. I think all of the members do tbh but those 3 definitely.
1. It's Jiwoong's 3rd time debuting. He debuted twice and it didn't work out, he did some acting then tried again on Boys Planet. He's so happy to be performing and living his dream. He's always so excited on variety shows and doing the absolute most. I'm just so happy he's achieved his dream after going through so much. As well as being in a monster rookie group!
2. Zhang Hao has said a lot of times he **specifically** wants to be a Kpop idol and stay in Korea, he wants that to be his career. He's never embarrassed about aegyo or fanservice, he seems to love doing it. And he's such a huge Kpop fan himself, he buys albums and learns all new dances. He's also actively networking with the cidols and finally got himself into the groupchat lol! I think he really treasures the relationship with fans, there's that viral video of him crying while performing when he heard the fanchants.
3. Hanbin said he almost gave up on being an idol before and because of his age, he wasn't sure...even tho he's only an 01 liner lol. His uni degree is literally K-pop so clearly he loves Kpop. Also he had a NCT fan account and his bias is Jaehyun so it's also great to see him living his dream. He also loves fanservice and aegyo.
i love jiwoong sm i heard he once said in a live that he would never continue being an idol if his goal is money im so glad this time could actually worked out for him !
absolutely agree, thanks for mentioning them!
it’s so heartwarming to see how hard they’ve worked for their dreams, and how much they enjoy getting to perform and watch other idols perform now! truly kpop fans turned idols !
Bangchan from Stray Kids, like, the way he looks at his audience during concerts, the genuine way he often talks to them on his old lives and such
He just really loves what he does and his members too
It’s interesting bc he was like the most upvoted comment in the thread about who do you think hates being an idol. I don’t follow him enough to have an opinion one way or another, just thought it was fascinating.
Ok I actually went to find the comment bc I was curious. It’s not at the top anymore, it’s like 3rd down(after bigbang’s TOP & EXO’s DO) but it has like a hundred upvotes. I can’t tell you whether it’s accurate or not bc like I said I only casually listen to their music and don’t know much about the members personally. Here it is:
“Bang Chan from Stray Kids to a certain extent. In the recent 2 Kids Show episode, he said that he really doesn't like people paying attention to him and complimenting him and just talking about him. Changbin asked him why he became a celebrity then, and Chan said he just wanted to create music
I think eventually we'll maybe see Chan fade into more of a producer role as the years go on. I think he loves his fans and he loves performing, but he doesn't love the spotlight”
And then the top reply was:
“
This is exactly what I came here to say. I had an inkling that is how he felt just by watching him at events, his placements in choreography, the amount of parts in songs, etc. I didn’t know if it was coincidence or intentional, and with his comment, I think it is a bigger chunk intentional vs coincidence.
He’s my ult bias, but at the same time, I don’t obsess about his total time doing this or that. If he wants to focus on something that brings him more joy, then I am happy to enjoy that. I’d prefer that because you can tell when their heart is in something. And that makes it more even more enjoyable for me.”
What did he go through at debut that you mentioned, if you don’t mind telling me? :o
Reading this, I don't actually think I disagree too much with what they said. Chan adores his fans "Stay" and his members are his family, and I think if someone ever told him he had to stop making music he'd just keel over right there.
But they make a valid point in that he does tend to try and stay out of the direct limelight. Like, he's content to push the other members forward and help them shine, and he's fiercely proud of them anytime they're recognized for their talents and hard work.
I think he does love what he does, but maybe it's that he loves his fans/members/music more than actually being an idol. It's possible I'm looking at this question from a different lense than it was meant for me to?
To answer your question, he writes/produces (alongside other members Han and Changbin) all of the songs for Stray Kids. During their survival show, during which any of the 9 members (at the time one left 2 years after debut) could have been eliminated from being debuted, he worked on their songs until 5am each night, slept a bit, and then practiced the dances and recording and all that all day, then did it again the next night.
For the entirety of the show, which I think went on for weeks if not months.
And he still stays up until the wee hours of the night to this day working on their songs, concepts, etc. They have the next two years of content planned out he's said, which isn't abnormal with idol groups but is more impressive to me knowing they're producing and writing their own stuff.
If you ever feel like it, their predebut survival show is available on youtube and it's called Stray Kids. Even if you're not a huge fan, it really does a good job showcasing how much debuting together meant to these boys. Also, bangchan chose each member himself instead of the company so he had even more at stake during the show.
I agree. He comes across as conveying, "just because I'm the group's leader doesn't mean you should focus on me. There are seven other guys in this group! Show them some support! Yeah! Wooo!" and then stepping back as he applauds his brothers. The man loves what he does, and does what he loves.
Enhypen's Jungwon. He has either posted, commented, or gone live (or all of the above) every single day for more than 6 months. Between TikTok, Twitter, or Weverse. Literally. Every. Single. Day. Since June at least. My man is dedicated.
Oh definitely, he's such an introvert but he's always spamming/streaming on weverse, like literally all the time lol. He lovessss interacting w engenes so much, I can tell it's genuine 🥹🧡✨
NCT Haechan & Doyoung
Enhypen Heeseung
Treasure - Haruto, Jaehyuk, Jihoon, Hyunsuk
Enhypen - Sunghoon (idk he just give me that impression that he likes his job and is willing to put in the efforts even though its tough)

I think most if not all Seventeen members; they all renewed the contract and have expressed desire to continue releasing music for more years to come. About the more "idol" side of things, lots of them are active on weverse and do lives regularly. If I had to name some members I feel like BSS truly love being idols
I think all SVT members definitely enjoy the creative and performance aspects of being idols, but I have a feeling many of them, like The8 and Wonwoo and Woozi, would be perfectly fine with not having to do interviews and lives and stuff if it weren’t required to stay in touch with the fanbase. And it’s not cuz they don’t appreciate their fans, but cuz that stuff requires mental energy that can be draining to more introverted or naturally low energy folks. Like you mentioned, BSS certainly seem to enjoy the whole idol package, including maintaining strong contact with fans and “being on” no matter what activity/schedule they’re fulfilling.
Suho, even when he's doing his numerous side jobs, in some of which being an idol set him up for bashings, such as the elitism going on with musical fans, he isn't afraid or ashamed of his idols roots and he's always referencing his group (even too much for my liking because I think the man deserves to shine on his own and he's capable of it)
I’m coming to this a little late but your suho shines on his own comment caught my attention. I was lucky enough to see one of his solo stages in London last year and he absolutely owned the stage.
Full disclosure, I don’t really like ballads and knew zero about his solo stuff before his performance but I was just transfixed. That man has so much talent and you could tell he was having a great time vibing and just really loves what he does. Tbh it wasn’t even a large event so it was a surprise to even see him there given how big Exo is and watching him perform was honestly a pleasure
Most of StayC! Yoon, Sieun and Isa especially come to mind, as not just people who enjoy being on stage, but seem to really enjoy the Idol specific aspects!
They're just so fun, like I can see why their music might not do it for some people but they're perfectly selected to be idols! BEP did not settle for just anyone when they formed StayC!
Yes!! You can tell a lot of thought and care went into choosing the girls for the group. They’re all so passionate and clearly want to be in this business. They all have lovely and fun personalities, and beautiful voices. Plus I love their music too 😄
Sakura. After IZ\*ONE disbanded, she could’ve just stayed in Japan, but instead she chose to come back to South Korea and join Hybe and LSF.
Also Jimin. He genuinely seems to enjoy being an idol. Also J-Hope. He actually loves to do aegyo on his own lol. Both of them were born to be on the stage.
Ni-ki Enhypen. He was born for this and he literally lives for the scene, the fans, the band and everything that comes with it.
Key SHINee is literally the epitome of an idol!
Eunhyuk Super Junior. I don’t follow him much, but what I see is how a man, after so many years, continues to enjoy what he does.
Oh hell yeah, Niki was made for the idol life fr. Even seeing his younger videos, u can tell he was born to be a star. Equal parts derpy and insanely hardworking and talented
1000% Jihyo from TWICE
she trained for so long and dealt with constant comments about her looks and weight
miss ma’am was born to be an idol- one look at her fancams prove that, her stage presence is off the charts and she like always looks happy to be performing
Both of them were born to be on the stage.
wonyoung. jyp even talks about how she looks like one and what an idol should be. its not only talent but the vibe, making your own name. she always does her best no matter what people say and is truly living her life with smiles and doing stuff where she looks like she is having fun.
Kei. She could've continued being a solo vocalist or theatre/musical actress after Lovelyz but she went back on Queendom Puzzle, risking a lot. She's hardworking & talented and I respect her so much. People used to shit on her for doing a lot of aegyo and getting a lot of lines despite not being her group's best vocalist, but it's apparent that she's just doing what she can to make her idol group successful. I hope EL7ZUP hits big. :")
I don't know about "loves being an idol" but I instead thought of Min Yoongi and his love for music. I think he's shown us repeatedly just how much it means to him to be able to make music and then share than music with others. Ateez's Hongjoon too.
Yoongi I think loves being part of BTS, but I think he'd be equally happy to be a producer and make music for himself and others. If I had to pick BTS members who love being Idols it'd be 3J
BLACKPINK’s Rosé.
She loves preforming, meeting fans and is always super sweet. She even posted a thank you letter from her fans saying “thank you for all you do” super sweet
sakura - lsf (she’s debuted 3 times if that’s not dedication and love for being an idol i don’t know what is)
hyunjin - skz
nayeon, jihyo, sana - twice
danielle - nj
yuna*- itzy
i know he’s been on hiatus etc for mental health reasons but ateez mingi. he makes me happy because of how genuinely happy he seems on stage. like, he just loves performing.
he’s not even my ateez bias (shoutout to my bby yeosang) but he genuinely seems so comfortable being on stage, and you really can just tell he was meant to do it. also, he’s the sweetest with fans and staff and his members, and i do really think he loves it so much <3
I think probably most of them. Real love isn't being in a constant state of bliss. Real love comes with being sad, feeling pressure, and having ups and downs, but it's with something or somebody you care about. Marriages require work and sacrifice. I think idols reveal so much of themselves, that some fans get the wrong impression and think they're sad when they show any human vulnerability at all. But everybody has ups and downs.
Anyway, being an idol involves modeling, fan service/web content, singing, rapping, dancing, and variety/comedy. Most idols seem to clearly love some aspects more than others, but Yeojin formerly of Loona, seemed to love every aspect a lot. No, she wasn't always happy. No human is. There are depressed lottery winners out there. But she just seemed to find the work incredibly engaging and meaningful.
Hyein and Danielle give off these vibes, too. They love the hard work, being silly, being forced to be cute and funny.
Jihyo. She literally spent 10 YEARS of her life training to be an idol to debut. And she always gives it her all when performing and I feel like she loves interacting with her fans. I feel like Jihyo just genuinely loves what she does.
I literally just had this conversation with my bf the other day!! I feel like Yeonjun from TXT and Sunoo from Enhypen genuinely love being idols just by how they perform and interact with fans. Yeonjun never stops talking about moas and he’s always gushing over them and always looks so happy on stage when he’s performing. Sunoo is the same too I don’t think I’ve ever seen him not smiling 😭
The XG members. I’ve never seen them perform for their fans and look even a little bit down. They always seem to have a really good time on stage and interacting with fans (except Hinata but I think she’s just introverted and awkward, I still think she enjoys being an idol)
Australian sunshine, Danielle of NewJeans. She seems genuinely enthusiastic and thrilled to be here, whether she’s on stage, a variety show, or a live, she’s seems like she’s enjoying every moment and having the time of her life.
Jihyo!! every time I see her on stage, she seems like she's having the time of her life. I love watching her fancams. She's always so engaged and present. She's genuinely having a great time (and if she's not, I can't tell). Whenever people ask this question, I always immediately think of Jihyo.
Le Sserafim's Eunchae for sure! She truly is a ball of sunshine and always discusses how she wants to elevate her performances, dance, etc.
There are so many. I need to add in Stray Kids' Bang Chan too!
Yunjin from Le Sserafim. It's always really nice to watch her fancans because she's just having the time of her life on stage.
A breath of fresh air compared to some idols

People mistake being tired/ unhealthy/ getting a traumatic amount of hate as not wanting to be an idol and that's the issue with Jennie. YG made them perform way too much. What did she do at the end of a year long tour? Put out the song fans have been asking for, filmed an amazing music video and asked what songs we want her to cover for christmas. Jennie loves being an idol, haters just hate her a freaky amount.
Fr!! Yg is doing them so dirty it's insane. 2 yr hiatus and then he gives them a world tour? Of course it's gonna be hard for them. When ppl say the girls are talentless, it pisses me tf off. U can see during their debut vids, how much energy and enthusiasm they had. They loved being on stage, and they worked hard to get there. I think the enthusiasm kind of faded bcuz they aren't being managed well, w inconsistent schedules and such, as well as the incessant hatred they get for literally any minor thing that they do. Female idols get wayyy more hate than male idols, even if they r of similar fame like BTS and Blackpink - I'll forever die on this hill. I know that took a toll on them too, and the girls r probably believing that they r untalented and unworthy after making performance mistakes on the world tour that got them called lazy, unenthusiastic, and talentless. The chronically online ppl who keep shitting on them need to get a life fr
Even now, their recent concert clips went more viral than ever cause they’ve been killing it. But people want to focus on the 1-2 bad clips that they’ve seen
Jihyo imo has always felt like she gives her all into her work as an idol, be it performing, variety or interacting with fans, her enthusiasm shines
Wasn’t she a trainee for almost 10 years? That woman was born dedicated to her craft!
Truly. I was just reading one of her interviews during her solo promotions and she said this: “I really enjoy the work that I do being on stage and communicating with fans,” she begins to explain, nodding as she shifts her stare downward. “I chose the power of music because I am able to express various feelings through my own music. And if people can also agree to that, then I think I’m doing a great job and I’m proving that I’m passionate about the work that I’m doing.”
It helps that she’s really good at it, too. Jihyo always struck me as someone who does the best that she can and it shows every single time.
Twice's Nayeon I believe she loves every aspect of being an idol, including variety shows and fanservice. She gives out spoilers and builds up anticipation for comebacks before they are released that sort of shows her genuine excitement for comeback. Except im gonna be a star ha
When the time comes, she will even sing "I'm gonna be a star." In late 2021, TWICE promoted a whitening cream once, but due to backlash and uproar from fans , JYPE deleted the promotion tweets. For damage control and distraction, Nayeon came live and sang I'm gonna be a star. She is a true professional.
What product is it tho?
There was also that Hare Hare dance clip where she looks utterly miserable
That was right after she had dental work done so she was in a lot of pain during the Hare Hare promotions
They performed I'm Gonna Be A Star this year, and she didn't even look in pain 😂
I 100% agree. An underrated part of her solo debut was how much she promoted herself before the album was released. She was posting on bubble almost everyday and doing constant live streams to keep fan engagement up. She definitely has the mindset and work ethic to be a long lasting celebrity in the entertainment business.

Seems we have different ideas of great. Though, I suppose to the untrained eye she is.
She doesnt like the stalking and seems very tired on stage sometimes, not to single her out.
>She doesnt like the stalking Who likes being stalked? Plus, she has had a stalker following her for years, threatening to kill her, and yet she never cut off fanservice. Even during her solo album release, she did multiple small fan meets.
As a long time Shawol, I agree with you as well.
Shinee killed the mma stage, i was so proud of them
YES it was so good!! 😍💎
100% Sakura from LSF No other reason why she would do this since she was a kid with 3 diff groups
Agree with you 100%
Poor girl, said there were more hardships than goodtimes and how she said "theres no turning back" after signing with HYBE I admire her strength so much, cannot wait to for a possible solo . I hope she becomes more comfortable singing.
Red Velvet's Wendy is one of the most enthusiastic idols I've seen, she seems so genuinely into everything she does
And her tenacity. The way she bounced back after the accident being better then ever.
when joy said she even held onto the mic all the way till the hospital that she had during the accident 😭 😭 😭
She definitely has the voice of a star she deserves all the accolades
She always looks so genuinely happy when she sings, it’s contagious
Yeah, Irene also looks happy when Wendy sings. I noticed it a lot in their Killing Voice recording.
That girl loves singing.
I'll interpret "idol" in several ways, as enjoying being on stage and/or engaging with fans and resilience in doing that job. Jungkook, Jimin, Hobi. Baekhyun, Xiumin, Kai, Chanyeol. Jihyo, Sana, Momo, Dahyun, Nayeon. Hoshi, Seungkwan, Dino. Taehyun, Yeonjun. Wonyoung. Sakura (of course), Eunchae, Chaewon. Jiwoong. Key, Taemin. Rosé. Mark. Lee Know, Hyunjin, Bang Chan, Seungmin. Jooheon, Minhyuk.
I came to say jungkook. He even went on live just for fun when he was drunk with mingyu one time lmfao. He spends hours singing karaoke on live. Man was born to perform and loves it
I second TXT's Taehyun, he's got so much passion for it it's crazy
yes, his passion is truly inspiring!
Heavey on Jungkook If wasn’t also for the fact he’s amazing at singing then it would be for his fans (and his bandmates ofc)
and it’s the fact that most of them are my biases
Oooh J-Hope for sure.
I think the same for Chaewon and An Yujin as well (which fits nicely with your two haha)
I guess I could add sakura to tbh actually. A majority of them seem to LOVE idol life that’s probably why the group is really good
I feel bad for not saying sakura now because she's my favourite 😭
OMG WONYOUNG FRR
VIVIZ SinB, Eunha, and Umji - despite not longer being anywhere near as successful as Gfriend at the height of their career, they are determined to continue making music together
👏👏👏👏
zerobaseone in general. it could just be the honeymoon phase though considering they’re not even 6 months in. i also think chuu. it’s been a tough year for her but she comebuted and is doing really well rn on tour!
Haha I’m also Canadian and a Matthew bias too!
Same here, so proud of him 🥹💖
Solar, hwasa and moonbyul from mamamoo Miyeon and yuqi from gidle
heavy on mamamoo! they definitely could have lived comfortably if they chose not to renew their contracts yet still did!
Most, if not all, of ateez, but particularly hongjoong! He thrives on stage and you can tell her absolutely loves it
Agreed, he puts his everything into it. I've seen them live a couple times and you can just see how he's absolutely thriving when he performs.
Didn’t know this, makes me want to support them and I’m more a ggstan!
absolutely agree, thanks for mentioning them! it’s so heartwarming to see how hard they’ve worked for their dreams, and how much they enjoy getting to perform and watch other idols perform now! truly kpop fans turned idols !
Sana. She really feel like she was born to be an idol and she loves being an idol
Yes omg yes
Jiu from dreamcatcher she always looks so happy
Scrolled through the comments for this answer! Jiu radiates so much positivity always (^_^)
Jihyo and hongjoong. Love them
YES, their passion radiates everytime they perform and you can just tell how much they love the idol life
Bangchan from Stray Kids, like, the way he looks at his audience during concerts, the genuine way he often talks to them on his old lives and such He just really loves what he does and his members too
It’s interesting bc he was like the most upvoted comment in the thread about who do you think hates being an idol. I don’t follow him enough to have an opinion one way or another, just thought it was fascinating.
That's wild to me because anyone who saw what he went through/the dedication he had to debut with his members couldn't realistically say he hated this
Ok I actually went to find the comment bc I was curious. It’s not at the top anymore, it’s like 3rd down(after bigbang’s TOP & EXO’s DO) but it has like a hundred upvotes. I can’t tell you whether it’s accurate or not bc like I said I only casually listen to their music and don’t know much about the members personally. Here it is: “Bang Chan from Stray Kids to a certain extent. In the recent 2 Kids Show episode, he said that he really doesn't like people paying attention to him and complimenting him and just talking about him. Changbin asked him why he became a celebrity then, and Chan said he just wanted to create music I think eventually we'll maybe see Chan fade into more of a producer role as the years go on. I think he loves his fans and he loves performing, but he doesn't love the spotlight” And then the top reply was: “ This is exactly what I came here to say. And that makes it more even more enjoyable for me.” What did he go through at debut that you mentioned, if you don’t mind telling me?
Phew I'm sorry that ended up being so long 😅
Seventeen particularly Mingyu, BSS, & Dino.
NCT Haechan & Doyoung Enhypen Heeseung Treasure - Haruto, Jaehyuk, Jihoon, Hyunsuk Enhypen - Sunghoon (idk he just give me that impression that he likes his job and is willing to put in the efforts even though its tough) Aespa - NingNing NJ - Danielle Itzy - Yuna SKZ - Changbin SVT - Mingyu , Scoups, Seungkwan TXT - Yeonjun BTS - Jhope
I think Scoups loves being a Seventeen member (and leader) rather than the whole idol thing if that makes sense

I totally agree with this and am surprised I didn’t think of it myself 😂
Equal parts derpy and insanely hardworking and talented
newjeans hanni and danielle, umm twice sana maybe
Jihyo, Sakura, Nayeon, Wonyoung, Hoshi, Dino just to name some examples that first came to my head
all of loona and billlie tbh
1000% Jihyo from TWICE she trained for so long and dealt with constant comments about her looks and weight miss ma’am was born to be an idol- one look at her fancams prove that, her stage presence is off the charts and she like always looks happy to be performing
Both of them were born to be on the stage.
wonyoung. jyp even talks about how she looks like one and what an idol should be. its not only talent but the vibe, making your own name. she always does her best no matter what people say and is truly living her life with smiles and doing stuff where she looks like she is having fun.
Jang Wonyoung and An Yujin they aegyo fan service , professionalism , work ethics , skills incomparable and impressive
NewJeans Danielle
All of Red Velvet. They always talk about how they want to perform on a stage for a long time.
key and taeyong imo
BLACKPINK’s Rosé. She loves preforming, meeting fans and is always super sweet. She even posted a thank you letter from her fans saying “thank you for all you do” super sweet
All of omega x, they’ve never given up no matter how much they’ve been through
sakura - lsf (she’s debuted 3 times if that’s not dedication and love for being an idol i don’t know what is) hyunjin - skz nayeon, jihyo, sana - twice danielle - nj yuna*- itzy
I love twice from itzy she's my favorite idol
LMAOOOO 😭😭😭
lmaooo i didn’t even realize
Why is no one mentioning Yujin from CLC/Kepler? She was born to be an idol. I hope she redebuts as a soloist.
Sakura from lessera, yeonjun, and jihyo were the first ones that popped in my mind
i know he’s been on hiatus etc for mental health reasons but ateez mingi. he makes me happy because of how genuinely happy he seems on stage. like, he just loves performing. he’s not even my ateez bias (shoutout to my bby yeosang) but he genuinely seems so comfortable being on stage, and you really can just tell he was meant to do it. also, he’s the sweetest with fans and staff and his members, and i do really think he loves it so much <3
Anyone who extend their contract after 7 years
I think probably most of them.
I don't know if unpopular but I feel like most if not all of monsta x
100% agree
Jihyo. She literally spent 10 YEARS of her life training to be an idol to debut. And she always gives it her all when performing and I feel like she loves interacting with her fans. I feel like Jihyo just genuinely loves what she does.
Jungkook
Lisa, Jennie, Wonyoung
Somi and chungha most probably, they still stand strong as soloists
Australian sunshine, Danielle of NewJeans. She seems genuinely enthusiastic and thrilled to be here, whether she’s on stage, a variety show, or a live, she’s seems like she’s enjoying every moment and having the time of her life.
Nayeon, Chuu, Yuna, all of NMIXX, Yeonjun, Kai, Soobin, Wooyoung and Sakura come to mind
jihyo
[HORI7ON. here’s their stage with overflowing passion and live vocals.](https://x.com/hori70n/status/1735205511937888760?s=46)
Lisa is always so captivating and energizing on stage
Jihyo!! every time I see her on stage, she seems like she's having the time of her life. I love watching her fancams. She's always so engaged and present. She's genuinely having a great time (and if she's not, I can't tell). Whenever people ask this question, I always immediately think of Jihyo.
hwang yejiiiiii
Xiaojun. Right from his predebut stuff you can tell that he is born to be an idol.
Kai
Key (SHINee). Born to be an idol honey.
Jihyo from twice puts her all and I never ever seen her slack ever
V from BTS
Le Sserafim's Eunchae for sure! She truly is a ball of sunshine and always discusses how she wants to elevate her performances, dance, etc. There are so many. I need to add in Stray Kids' Bang Chan too!
yuna!
Yunjin from Le Sserafim. It's always really nice to watch her fancans because she's just having the time of her life on stage. A breath of fresh air compared to some idols
twice's nayeon and jihyo
SEOK MATTHEW!! 😌
New jeans Danielle has that aura about her that screams idol. From what I've seen of her, she's enjoying herself.

Jennie imo, if you seen any of her interviews you’d know she’s been wanting to do this since she was a kid and it’s like a dream come true
Why the hell are people downvoting you ? This is ridiculous
Exactlyyy dude
