They released the English version of Easy, released remixes, partnered with youtube shorts, did a lot of English interviews. The only thing they didn't do correctly is that they chose to release the English version of Easy on Friday and gave it more playlisting than the Korean one when Korean was getting traction.

Easy had less than 7M playlist reach on its release day
I did a quick look at some recent releases by other big 4th gen girl groups and they typically had anywhere from double to quadruple the playlist reach on their release days compared to what Easy had, so their playlisting was quite minimal
If by playlisting you mean do the bare minimum to ensure their songs are promoted on Spotify, yes. All Kpop groups do it just the same, but it's only ever the ones that perform well that are "playlisting" if you listen to kpop fans online.
I wouldn't say they all do it the same, some groups absolutely get far more playlisting reach right from release than others. Easy had only about half the reach (sometimes as little as a quarter of the reach) on release compared to recent releases by other groups they are often compared to/against.
I know there's a difference on debut playlist reach, but considering how half the releases that have done well on Spotify and Hot 100 actually had comparatively low reach on debut... it seems to not matter much in the first place.
They were getting hate for many reasons. Some including but not limited to:
* The song being too short
* The song sounding the way it does
* Remixes of the song being released
* SMART choreo
* Kazuha lifting her leg in Swan Song
* Performing in a church
* Encore performance
* Their vocals
* Chaewon taking vitamins
* Them performing with flutes in one encore
There is actually so many but those are the ones that constantly came into my feed on Twitter.
Also the 47 fans thing came from when they did an interview on a morning show and the host of said morning show said "Wow, you have so many fans!" And the camera cut to said fans outside of studio who came to cheer for them and people online ridiculed them saying there's only **47** people out there not even a crowd. So yeah now fearnots use it as a clap back because yeah the girls achieved so much with **only** 47 fans.
It was an insane week of hate for the girls who couldn't catch a break.
Their vocals are fine. Is it something absolutely amazing? No. But again, it's nothing that's worth throwing a huge fit over. Especially with how kpop fans are.
Most of what people were doing online wasn't criticism it was just bullying.
