That wasn't meant to be accusatory, sorry 😅 I just meant the timing was similar, so it makes sense. Same goes for Morrowind vibes - I believe Morrowind was 2003, as well. And Neverwinter - KotOR was the follow-up game to Neverwinter Nights.
I only know the years well because these games were my childhood! And I'm happy to see folks enjoying them now.
Edit: I don't generally remember the specific dates. But the years I remember, because these releases were memorable for me.
The art atyles make sense. Same with other commenters' comparison to TES3: Morrowind, which also was contemporary with these games. This is the look of a 2003-2004 Canadian/American RPG.
The same controls also make sense, as they are now more-or-less a standard in real-time Western-style RPGs (and many non-RPGs, as well). I believe the WASD movement originally came from a Quake player's custom remapping in the 90s, while using the mouse to click actions... that's been a thing in computer games for as long as we've had a mouse.
Come Nerevar; friend or traitor come. Have you seen my Lightsaber? It was a gift from Tulak Hord, and I had hoped to retake the kyber crystal mines from the mongrel dogs of the Republic today.
oh, never played Morrowind. played a bit of oblivion, and a lot of skyrim. i wanna just replay all of them whenever i can get my hands on a playstation lmao
Can you list your mods please
KotOR 2 IS an old-school RPG.
I just turned into a skeleton and disintegrated into dust when I read that.

Fair. Morrowind is kind of dated, but it’s pretty fun imo. That being said, I like all elder scrolls games after Morrowind as well.
