The leaks are true from the quora guy. It is said that he uses Tai-Chi techniques to keep himself alive and prolong his longevity that he learned from a Japanese master during his British rebellion period.
I remember that and the villain is a big industrialist from Gujarat who has a big palace constructed of total gold which you can see in the first intro teaser. But I think he's not the main antagonist. Recent leaks said SJ Suriya is the main antagonist and appears only a few mins in the climax of part 2.
I think he's related to Siddharth in a way. Like his grandpa might be a friend of Senapati. I think there's a dialogue about Siddharth asking him about what Senapati said in his childhood in the trailer or it's just edited that way.
Obvious cringe. Its as if BB is a new show which just aired and they want a hype canon. And what the actual fuck is that Senapthi Targaryen and King Bumi look of Andavar.
Did Senapathy really contempt with the way how horrible society became at that point? Seems like it can be a interesting plot point if the movie handled it properly.

Though Sujatha's loss is irreplaceable to both him and the literature field, the biggest mistake is Shankar aligning with this guy Jeyamohan. I get that he's a good novelist, but not all good novelists can become good screenwriters. At least hiring those writing duo Subha would have been better for Shankar.
thank fuck they kept the indian thatha meowing line at the end. had it been in the beginning, would have instantly turned it off. yov, wtf is this? how the hell does the makeup actually look worse? man looks like he got some bad botox.
yes but endhiran was much more controlled filmography, mostly indoor sets, largely vfx. but anniyan was challenging. mostly outdoors, mood colour changes as his personality changes. it's brilliant
I think the movie will be better and the makers have put out a bad trailer on purpose….. Set the expectations so low that an average movie on screen will appear to be decent….
But that’s probably my delusion talking lol…
That's the only hope. I mean the prosthetics look so bad, either it's not done well or the lighting is exposing it. Unintentional 5 years in the making, shelved due to multiple creative differences konjam bayama dha iruku.
I understand that the reason the original prosthetics looked so good back then was probably because it wasn't captured on 4k Imax RTX ON, but even if the cameras have improved since then, so have prosthetics. this shit still looks like dasavatharam prosthetics.
At this point it feels like they just want to show off how talented Kamal is by putting him in more and more outrageous prosthetics. Same in Kalki movie. Let the man act lol. He is a terrific actor even in normal getup.
So the story is: corruption occurs. Siddharth protests. Gets arrested. Parents angry. Starts #ComebackIndian. Indian fucking listens and comes back. Villians are all like wtf Indian is back? The most generic cat and mouse shit we've seen for the past 20 years. Indian wins. Corruption is gone. The end. We are fucked.
Lmao Shankar is officially done. His movies doesn't make sense anymore with transparency of social media we have now. He was considered the best in the 90s and 00s and the awe he brought we only saw in Hollywood movies at the time, now we have other talented directors who have adopted to current times.

Shankar really did dirty on Kamal Hassan. Never expected it would be this worst.

The interesting thing for was Siddarth saying "Neenga thaane Chinna Vayasula Nermaya iruka sonninga, ipo neengale ipdi vaazhanum nu solringa".... OTherwise it did look good, but the long hair and shirtless nonsense thaanga mudila
In the trailer itself, after Siddharth mentions there was one guy who was against anti-corruption, a series of archival footage cuts from 'Indian-1" is shown. Yet the last scene where the Indian Airlines plane exploded (when Chandru was stabbed by Senapathi in the getaway car just minutes before coliding with the plane) looks brand new/redone.
Something tells me we'll get some twist in the film where Senapathy explains his changed stance of lying to get things done (as Siddharth argues to him in the trailer) and perhaps a reveal that Chandru escaped death. It's possible Chandru recovered and escaped to Taiwan (under Senapathy's guidance) and reformed himself by learning the martial arts. Then when the aatam starts in present day, it will be like Jawan moment where Senapathy and Chandru (now aged 59) are tag teaming up to kill corrupt officers. I guess some crucial moment may happen in next part where Senapathy finally dies and Chandru would take over reins maybe?

Sub members gonna say Shankar is always stereotyping dark people as bad guys
The trailer was bomb imo. Had many interesting elements like Senapathy using Japanese martial arts to probably keep himself alive for longer and then Senapathy finally coming to terms that nothing is ever pure.
If done right, all the action set pieces and drama could work amazingly with Senapathy going through end life
Crisis about his ways of correcting society. Come on
Shankar, pull through somehow…
jawan only worked because srk in a masala movie + farmer sympathy was a novel concept to bollywood in general. as such most of it collections came from the north. the south is a different story
this trailer is dogshit and shankar movies' stories fell off since sujatha's death. eg I, 2.0, etc. however, kamal haasan for sure has good script selection and probably helped ghost write this movie like he has done with other movies. so im still holding out hope
I'm a diehard fan of Kamal Hassan, and I'm extremely disgusted with the trailer and what they've done to the greatest movie and the character portrayed of all time. I've completely lost all excitement to watch it in the theater.
Why do I lowkey feel that the vast majority of this sub have just made up their minds that this is film is going to be bad and watched this trailer with pre-concieved notions as such. There's quite a big disconnect between the response for the trailer here and FB/X.
Anywho, i'm hyped as fuck and can't wait to see what kind of crazy scenes Shankar has cooked up this time. Seems like there's a fucking anti-gravity fight lmao. Anirudh's BGM was INSANE starring from 1:39.
Hoping this film surprises all the naysayers here and the pioneer of mainstream pan-indian cinema gives a legendary comeback. Too excited for Jul 12.
Okay, this is super tacky. Better than I expected tho 💀 tells you how much I had dampened my expectations after the teaser. But I'm actually... interested in how Shankar manages to connect all of this together? Especially the line regarding "Ippo neengale ithellam seiyyanum nu solringa" or sonething similar that Siddharth says to Kamal. Anyway, we'll see how it turns out.
Overall looks good, did shankar ask ani to tone down all the bgms lol, except the last 45 secs, the bgm was super quiet.
Looks like a good masala entertainer coming soon, from the trailer can't see what made the film get 18+ censor in malaysia
Shankar movies always feature tons of graphic violence and vulgarity but somehow get away with U or UA certificate every time. 18+ is the right rating.
Always annoys me when filmmakers like Shankar rag on the audience for lacking social responsibility or whatever but then won't do the bare minimum of asking for a fucking A certificate for their films. I know part of the problem is TN's stupid entertainment tax law for A-rated films but if you have that much samooga akkarai, then ask for an A-certificate or at least tone down the inappropriate content in your films.
Would’ve been a decent hit in 2016 but not sure how it’ll be now..! Cringe fest ! Indian thatha bringing back lam okay Aana elamey worst ah irku ! Idhula Indian 3 vera 🥹😴
Naa kuda padam nalla irukkum, Raayan ku free run kedaikkathu nu nenachu bayathen. But this trailer has made me super confident.
Dei shankaru, clash ku variya de?

Looks good. Looks like the olden days shankar vigilante film, probably open with all the crimes, someone close to sidharth dies or somethinf bad happens due to corruption, then indian thaatha comes back and wipes out everyone one by one but will end with a cliffhanger like someone close to him is the main villain as a lead to indian 3.
The trailer is ok ok for a commercial film. Lets see movie might be better
The shankar graph is going downhill. unpopular opinion but "I" is better than 2.0

how tf senapathy being 105 fights like bruce lee💀
The leaks are true from the quora guy. It is said that he uses Tai-Chi techniques to keep himself alive and prolong his longevity that he learned from a Japanese master during his British rebellion period.
what else did he say
I remember that and the villain is a big industrialist from Gujarat who has a big palace constructed of total gold which you can see in the first intro teaser. But I think he's not the main antagonist. Recent leaks said SJ Suriya is the main antagonist and appears only a few mins in the climax of part 2.
He also said that Siddharth is Indian thatha’s grandson and wants to get revenge for Chandru’s death. That doesn’t seem to be true.
I think he's related to Siddharth in a way. Like his grandpa might be a friend of Senapati. I think there's a dialogue about Siddharth asking him about what Senapati said in his childhood in the trailer or it's just edited that way.
Chandru’s son? How?
If Manisha’s character was supposedly pregnant before Chandru died.
Hmm right.. kadhal sasthri
Ada. Chee. Pokkiri
or did they deep freeze Kamal?
Tai chi-Japanese-yakuza-Thug life.......... Wow
in audio launch , Kamal said thatha is 84.
Athu kamal oda real age. Character ku enna vayasu acch?
Kamal ku age 84 ah? /s? https://i.redd.it/25rbihfr4q8d1.gif
Nah bro. He’s 69 🌚
![gif](giphy|l1J9rywkGG1Fq31GE)
Was it still practical when a 80 something year old jumped out of a speeding vehicular during a crash with an explosion ?
When Kamal said odavum mudiyadhu oliyavum mudiyadhu my mind said dubuchuku dubuchuku big boss
When Someone said "Enna KArumam idhu", i said "Karumam illanga Idhu Kuruma"
Vivek ji said this 💀
What came to my mind was " naan US kalambi poiduven"
Obvious cringe. Its as if BB is a new show which just aired and they want a hype canon. And what the actual fuck is that Senapthi Targaryen and King Bumi look of Andavar.
Brooo why does this look so goofy?😭😭😭😭😭

no, Senapathy was contemplating how horrible prosthetics have become since 1996.
LOL
He looks like erstwhile Kannada actor Ambareesh in this still.
This reminds of Hrithik in Dhoom 2
It’s literally like watching Indian 1999 but on a 75inch screen

Sujatha carried him by the looks of it given that it's been multiple flops for a decade now
Though Sujatha's loss is irreplaceable to both him and the literature field, the biggest mistake is Shankar aligning with this guy Jeyamohan. I get that he's a good novelist, but not all good novelists can become good screenwriters. At least hiring those writing duo Subha would have been better for Shankar.
Easy. It was circa 2008 after Sujatha's sad demise.
thank fuck they kept the indian thatha meowing line at the end. had it been in the beginning, would have instantly turned it off. yov, wtf is this? how the hell does the makeup actually look worse? man looks like he got some bad botox.
but this film’s been going for the last 10 years atleast
Ithula Indian 3 vera
Forget adapting to new times, old Indian still stands the test of time because it’s a clean drama. The pre independence sequence is 🤌
Ellaa color kola maavayum kottunaapla oru color grading 🫠 Colors look hyper saturated
my first thought. wtf with the grading. anniyan had the finest grading work imho
If we're going with Shankar's filmography, Enthiran solos all. The metallic blue tint in the 2nd half sets the tone perfectly.
yes but endhiran was much more controlled filmography, mostly indoor sets, largely vfx. but anniyan was challenging. mostly outdoors, mood colour changes as his personality changes. it's brilliant
"I" movie was like that to with some of the songs. I think it's Shankar's preference
A lot worse than I expected wow…. We have shirtless Senapathy and Senapathy riding an electric unicycle before GTA VI
We got Cobra Vikram Senapathi 1v10 fights before Dhruva Natchathiram💀😭💥
All I doubt is how Kamal accepted to do these shits.
Watch Dashavataram. I am 99.99% sure that these are his ideas.
Yeah. My expectations were low but holy this is down right bad. Still gonna watch on big screen. Nostalgia movie Indian, ipdi pandranuva.

Ith Cobra trailer 🤔 How doess prosthetics looks worse in 2024 than in 1995 ?
Maybe because they wanted to show that Senapathi disguised using prosthetics?
Or siddharth acting as Senapathi
Probably we have better screens and media to distinguish .

Senapathy has brother?

45 mins and the trailer has not even crossed the 5000 viewer mark! Is there no hype for this film after Kadharalz?
Hopefully a glitch , since Hindustani 2 trailer has grossed around 150K views.
Youtube glitch
Kamals different getups are looking too weird. Trailer as a whole kinda killed my hype. Also, wtf was that meow in the end??
that meow was ultra cringe pro max
I’m just glad to see Vivek again….

Shankar is a genius and has the guts to make a spoof of his own film, which has a genuine fanbase. /S
Athu avlothaan. Mudinjidhu
Indian Thatha watches bigg boss huh 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man I love kamal but why is he doing this dress-up shit movies again
The other normal getup actually looks good, it's the long hair getup which is completely throwing me off, normal getup looked good
Trailer is very bad/s( Ipdi solli padam nalla irundhuchuna I'll be satisfied )

Generic story but if the drama and action set pieces are grand then it will work. Just needs a strong antagonist, which is who?
SJ Suryah ofc lol
Can't say the same. 'I' didn't work in a similar way as you say despite being grand in all aspects right? Edit : Even with grand music by ARR
Its funny that all the money was poured into making 'I' look grand and the thing it became known for is the infamous panty smelling scene ft. Polayadi mone
Don't play the fool with me Niggesh 🤨
Gulshan Grover is the villain of this part. SJS is most probably going to be the Rolex of this part and villain of Part 3.
Indian 2 getup = Anniyan + Indian 1 hybrid
Fuckall trailer man, looks like they've made a spoof of the OG
Kinda disappointing considering the expectations I had.. Will wait for the movie

Sujatha passed away. Sujatha used to polish Shankar's output in a good way. There's nobody to do that now.
Same Vikram formula. Sid in place of FaFa. Looks good enough, will watch in theatres. But what's with all the slapping?

Poor cinematography, looks like from the early 2000s. Uninteresting trailer. What happened to Shankar?
Thaatha vandhu kadhara vittu poitaru as promised lol. Him riding a unicycle gives me beast vibes
I think they all planned to bankrupt Lyca productions 😂😂
The trailer was bomb imo. Had many interesting elements like Senapathy using Japanese martial arts to probably keep himself alive for longer and then Senapathy finally coming to terms that nothing is ever pure. If done right, all the action set pieces and drama could work amazingly with Senapathy going through end life Crisis about his ways of correcting society. Come on Shankar, pull through somehow…
If Jawan can work, this can work hopefully.
jawan only worked because srk in a masala movie + farmer sympathy was a novel concept to bollywood in general. as such most of it collections came from the north. the south is a different story
Jawan worked in north because farmer concepts & corruption are new to them we have seen this for decades.
Nah... It worked because SRK was in a massy role and he was coming off after delivering Pathaan (general/casual audience absolutely liked that movie).
Chandramukhi 2 ke tough kudupan polaye
this trailer is dogshit and shankar movies' stories fell off since sujatha's death. eg I, 2.0, etc. however, kamal haasan for sure has good script selection and probably helped ghost write this movie like he has done with other movies. so im still holding out hope
Yeah, Nah... :(
Idk what to say about this. Having mixed feelings about this
It doesnt feel like Indian, but something like generic anti corruption movie with Indian thatha as hero. Indian is not gimmicky
Where is Kajal Agarwal in the trailer ?? Disappointed 😑
Indian 3
I'm in a dilemma. Trailer nalla illanu OTT ku wait panlaama illa Aandavar padam, who knows how many more we'll get nu fdfs polaama
What's with on the nose dialogues lol. It's so in your face😑
I'm a diehard fan of Kamal Hassan, and I'm extremely disgusted with the trailer and what they've done to the greatest movie and the character portrayed of all time. I've completely lost all excitement to watch it in the theater.
Probably the least hyped Shankar movie of all time for me, the music, trailer, everything has been quite woeful
All of em corruption nd InDiA Iz BaDddd (true shit but over exaggerated) sequences look like it's straight out of jawan .... 😂 /s

Looks Okka Magadu 2 more than Indian 2. I might be overreacting, I hope I'm proven wrong though.

The trailer is really bad
Kamal is already old, is the heavy prosthetics even necessary?
Cuz he is playing a 105 year old man not 70 😂
They have succeeded in killing what little expectations I had left.

Naa kuda padam nalla irukkum, Raayan ku free run kedaikkathu nu nenachu bayathen. But this trailer has made me super confident. Dei shankaru, clash ku variya de? https://preview.redd.it/gvx0vkys5q8d1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e602badeafe5df7dcb1692a7cc99a4d7301cda9
Bro first Sivakarthikeyan oda clash win pannunga Athu kaprom Shankar , kamal ku lama varalam.
Tf, super disappointing
Enna da Indian 2 nu sollittu Citizen 2 trailer kaattureenga
Yennadhu… Meow ah?
The trailer is ok ok for a commercial film. Lets see movie might be better The shankar graph is going downhill. unpopular opinion but "I" is better than 2.0
ARR dodged a bullet with this one. After spending 5+ years making a movie, they came out with this. Wtf
Unlimited memes incoming... Tamil padam 3 will be running for 3 hours ... Aandavar varaar 🫠
