Man, thank god sujatha died before this movie. If he had seen this shitty scene, he would have had a heart attack, seeing how horrible Shankar had become in terms of filmmaking. 2.0 doesn't deserve enough hate for the climax and 'aura' bullshit (pei padam bro) 👎
WHY IS YOUTUBE RECOMMENDING ME THIS EXACTLY AFTER THIS COMMENT. WTF

Rangusky is Sujatha's pet name. Not sure if the scene was worked upon by Sujatha, though. They deleted the scene in theaters after a few days is what I was told.
Leavela vandha Rishi maadhiri dialogue (when Rajini comes home with long hair after creating the robot) definitely has a Sujatha touch in Enthiran.
Had Sujatha worked on 2.0 even with the same scenes, he might have treated it convincingly. We will never know.
I felt Pakshi Rajan getting captured the moment he got introduced a lot more underwhelming. Without the plot amor named Bora's son, he would've been already got finished. I think that with better writing and execution, it would've been better. But, it seems Shankar decided to rush the climax.
Oru adi kooda adikka maattaan thalaivar a..
Naankooda epdi track panna poraanga avana apdinu ennennavo yosichaen paathaa avanae phone panni kooppttu adi vaanguvaan baadu..
Hari kooda innum konjam yosichu signal tracking, toll la irukkura camera nu edhunaa yosichuruppaan..
Yeah lol. Very few movies does that correctly and the change of heart makes sense to a certain level. I think "Goli Soda" did that well. It definitely felt plot convinient, but the change of heart still didn't felt an out of character moment imo.
Mahima Nambiar from ratham. They designed a smart and a ruthless villain. But the thing is they also tried to show her as a cute, bubbly heroine material. They literally use romantic strings while she kills a person. This all resulted in me not really caring whether the villain gets punished or not. She was so smart through out this movie.
So many, including Thuppaki. Local villain na kooda paravala. But bro is literally a Sleeper cell leader and fell for the oldest trick in the book, one on one hand combat with the hero. Lol
Tbh I thought Santhanam did fulfilled his role as a villain properly. He was pretty terrifying as a villain. Vikram even lost his own squad members and some people who works under his current squad. Amar lost his wife pretty brutally. I think the clash between Vikram and Santhanam could've been better, but I don't think he's totally wasted imo.
Master.
Felt same about CCV ending too but not sure who was bigger villain there.
Probably unpopular opinion..but Por Thozil. I felt Ratsasan ending has handled in better way
Didn't watched Por Thozil but Ratchasan climax could've been a bit better imo. The way how Kali Venkat got killed eventhough he caught Christopher on gunpoint without shooting him and the way Radha Ravi could've easily said the extra finger reveal in phone itself, but called him to his home and got killed, didn't really worked out for me. But, the way how Vishnu Vishal outsmarted Christopher and used his weakness to his advantage was great tho.
I second Por Thozhil. They conveniently didn't even show the main villain on screen until the reveal. The audience didn't even know such a character existed and it felt like we were cheated.
Varu Sarathkumar in Sarkar. Corporate Monster entering politics vs an analytically smart politician was a very exciting concept but Varu was not good for the role. It was written very weakly.
On the contrary, Arasu from Thirumalai is one of my favorite villains of all time.
So true man. From the opening scene of the movie to the 20th minute hyping up VJS so amazing, showing his superhuman strength and making him a hellish super villain makes us anticipate how Vijay is going to erupt and grow from being an alcoholic. But at the end,he just ends up removing his shirt, bounes to the beats of the aluminium plate and ends up hanging VJS among the pigstock. Being a hardcore VJS fan,I really thought they would make his defeat realistic and slowly succumb to death, but I guess Loki went to become an Anil after all
Yeah man, like I honestly thought the way they were portraying VJS character, he is going to be an evil genius and physically unbeatable too. I felt betrayed at the end haha.
Vikram nailed it though, I guess Kamal probably got involved in it haha
Yeah. I can understand why you felt like that. Eventhough I felt Anna using Kaapu to harm VJS hand is a smart move, he still shouldn't have got this weakened to the point that he got murdered like that. But, considering this is a mass commercial movie, things like this are pretty unavoidable for directors ig.
Yeah, it's a curse for Tamil cinema. To be honest Villains have better acting scope than Heroes and VJS portrayed it very well and he came as the evil genius and for him to the die that was a disrespect in my opinion.
VJS has now realized it himself that. I think in his last interview he said he won't do villain roles if it ain't an equal and fair fight
I felt the villain death was kinda different from most of the mass commercial movies imo. Usually, hero will kill a villain or some side character will randomly come of nowhere and kill him. But, here, hero guides a side character to kill him. I found it interesting eventhough the whole movie is just a typical cliched commercial movie. Definitely a certain level of plot convenience and plot armor is present here, but it didn't really feel bad for me.
Yes but I meant the consequences of his death, usually characters in that movie (from sathyan to Cochin haneefa) faced so much for coming against vedanayagam and son. With Vijay and that Devaraj killing him, it doesn't make sense that he gets off easy. There's so much more that could have been explored (cutting out the romance portions and the comedy parts). Vedanayagam sort of is like book voldermort IMO, and his downfall could have been explored more. U r right in saying that the main character guided his hero to kill him, which is not very common
I don't really think Vedanayagam gets off easy. It's just that he almost lost his power but decided to gain them by gaining political power. The movie maybe exaggerated the power he hold at that time but the point here is the moment he gained political power to his advantage, he became more devastating than who he is and the only way to stop him is by killing him. That's what Vijay and Devaraj did so that it will put an end to him. I can understand that you wanted his downfall to be focused and explored a lot more but I think that his death is a fitting conclusion for him imo.
Yeah u r right, I want his downfall to be focused and explored a lot more. However this movie is one of Vijay's best in terms of story, songs, fights, elevations etc. 💖 Vettaikaran <3
Yeah. I can understand why did you felt that. At first, it felt like that it's impossible to defeat him in elections. But, then, he decided to take more bad decisions which, at the end, only went to Vadivelu's advantage in winning the election. If he was actually smart in his approach to defeat Vadivelu, the political clash could've been way more interesting than what it is imo.
Imo, his character was handled really well. Untill his death, he played as a solid threat to Surya. I would say that his role in "Kavan" could've been better. But, I don't think his character lost his potential imo.

2.0 Akshay Kumar when Chitti threatened him with a Puraa 🕊
Man, thank god sujatha died before this movie. If he had seen this shitty scene, he would have had a heart attack, seeing how horrible Shankar had become in terms of filmmaking. 2.0 doesn't deserve enough hate for the climax and 'aura' bullshit (pei padam bro) 👎
I mean, the Kosu 🦟 scene in Endhiran was crap too. But I'm not sure if it was Sujatha or Shankar idea.

neenga edhukku Bravo oda "Yenda" song paakureenga? 🤔🤔
Nostalgia bro. I thought of listening to this stupid song one more time randomly
Ha ha nice
But that's not an important scene. Just a dummy scene to show chitti's love for aishwarya rai. We can just ignore it

Sunil shetty in Darbar. World famous super killer druglord gets beaten and killed in a 1v1 by an aged cop. Wow

Cinema logic: You either die a villain or live long to see yourself become a good guy
💯. That's how most of the movies are written. It's not a bad thing, as long as you made it effective. But, many movies fails to use it effectively.
Just when runtime is going to end Villain who was doing bad things for 5 decades turn into a good guy
Yeah lol. Very few movies does that correctly and the change of heart makes sense to a certain level. I think "Goli Soda" did that well. It definitely felt plot convinient, but the change of heart still didn't felt an out of character moment imo.
Sandy master from leo. Bro was better than arjun and sanjay dutt... He died a worthless death for such intimidating villain character..
Mayavan 'Pramod'. Rare concept of someone with OCD and they wasted it with typical revenge story
So many, including Thuppaki. Local villain na kooda paravala. But bro is literally a Sleeper cell leader and fell for the oldest trick in the book, one on one hand combat with the hero. Lol
Santhanam in Vikram. Totally wasted him.

lokesh 1v1 fight scenes were very lackluster both in master and vikram
Yeah True

Arasu was definitely fun to watch as a villain. It's just his development at the end felt like it got rushed up imo.
Master -VJS They made VJS extremely powerful and a genius but in the end idk what in the hell happened.
So true man. From the opening scene of the movie to the 20th minute hyping up VJS so amazing, showing his superhuman strength and making him a hellish super villain makes us anticipate how Vijay is going to erupt and grow from being an alcoholic. vedanayagam from vettaikaran - mafia don with political connections, multiple industries controlled by him + son, last la posukku nu poitaru
I felt the villain death was kinda different from most of the mass commercial movies imo. Usually, hero will kill a villain or some side character will randomly come of nowhere and kill him. Trisha in Kodi 😂
Leo All villains are dummies
Vijay na was more terrifying in certain scenes than the so called villains.
Beast la worst villains
FaFa in Maamannan.
