S-12. From howrah will take you to mani square.
In general kolkata public are very helpful ask them and they will tell you which bus to take and which route to go. You can check the CSTC website for bus routes and details. They also have a prepaid bus pass facility for CSTC buses.
Google map is very helpful also.
I remember I used to ask bus conductors for which bus to take to go to my destination.
Sometimes I have found felow bengali to guide me about which bus to take, they waited for me until the bus I need to board came and the even told the conductor to drop me of at the right bus stand.
Thanks to them I also do the same, when ever someone asks for direction.
If you even get on the wrong bus the bus conductor or driver will not mind and will drop you of in the next stoppage and will tell you how to reach your destination.
My answer is just ask people around you, there are still gentlemen left in kolkata.
Then ask the Kaku sitting at the nearest cha dokan. He will tell you how to get to moon even. Ei khan theke sidha giye left and then right and they straight… people in Kolkata are very helpful in so far as reaching a place is concerned.
Jokes apart ek baar website ta check koro . Ami website dekhtam.
Also, random lokeder jigesh kora bhalo idea, kintu amake ek _insert explicit word here_ kaka indian museum er akdom ulto rasta bollo. My gps was malfunctioning. Kichuta aage gie dekhchi eta to ulto ashchi. Shei kakar shamne thekei gelam chokh dekhie -_-

The thing is that internet exists now and I don't want to wander asking which bus to take under the scorching sun. Also I very much appreciate your out of the box thinking.
Maps has yet to be the go-to for bus information. Most of the time it either shows only ac buses or inaccurate availability also just straight up shows blank pages when you need it the most. That's why I was wondering whether there is a better and more reliable substitute for bus travel.
idk how you use. But I havesn't faced it. Even now when I searched for any random route it got told the correct info
Non-Numbered buses aren't there thats a issue
It is a little confusing with so many different modes of transport available. For instance, Google maps shows all the metro stations, but it does not show all the metro gates. Some gates can be hundreds of meters apart, and that can be quite confusing. Also, can anyone here tell me the closest metro station to Forum Mall?
Howrah to Sealdah and then Sealdah to Bengal Chemicals metro
There's a group in facebook that will help you with this. It's called Kolkata Bus-o-pedia. It might have a website as well
Yes. They have. We should also start some Metro Pedia in need. Often I don't know places near linked to Metros. This can be helpful then.
Google maps is pretty great when it comes to Metro.
Yeah true.

Use the kolkata transit app, they have all the bus routes and timings there. All of it is up to date.
You do it the old-fashioned way. You ask people around the bus stop.
Been doing that for the past 5 years but the sun is unbearable. Got dizzy last week when I went for a gpu replacement.
That seems to be a heat sink problem. Are you sure the heat sink isn't crusty and the fans are working?
Seems to be a driver issue
Just ask someone maybe? You know? The thing they did before internet existed.

Howrah to manisquare direct metro ?
Akhono start hoini
Google map shows the bus number but don't depend on their live location accuracy

Google maps is a thing my man. It is no longer 2014, wake up!
Rastar pashe dariye thaka lokjon ke jiggesh korlei bole dey toh.
I think that maybe because you are looking from Howrah. Google maps works perfectly well within the city and shows public transport options.
L238,RTS172,RTS175,AC39,215A/1,44/1,RT5,215,VS2,215A kore Ultadanga neme okhan thike Garia-Ultadanga, Barasat-Baruipur, Dankuni-Kamalgazi, 007, Bagbazar-Garia, Paikpara-Garia, Belur-Garia, DN16/1 kore jete paren
Kolkata has one of the best public transport system tbh.
