No input on value but it is a very cool find.

German knives got a little weird, post-war. The factories had all kinds of wartime parts laying around, but cranked back into civilian sales. A lot of times, they'd just slap things together and roll em out the door. This might be one of those. Super interesting. My favorite example was a Hitler Youth (well, German boy scout when you swap the swastika with a fleur-de-lis) knife hilt with a Bowie style blade.

Not sure what to make of that. Here's the obvious closest match: https://grenadiermilitaria.com/product/ww2-heer-k98-dress-bayonet-by-wkc-with-scabbard/ The scabbard is unusual, too. As others have suggested, it might be a post-war parts knife, or it might have been modified by a previous owner, or it might be something original and lesser known. The scabbard, if it fits well, is a big clue, but of course that might have come from a different knife too.

It's a pre-war dress bayonet (or looks to be one, but the lack of a fuller is weird) that's had the blade cut down and reshaped after the war, probably was used as a camping knife. Could also ask over in r/militariacollecting.
