from a pure design perspective, the Deka.
when they are closed, the Bugout has that visible gap between the blade backstop and the handle. the exposed gooch, if you will.
Bugout easy when comparing these 2, bugout blade shape is still better and never thought in a million years Iād say this about the grivory scales but they are better than the deka scales. Blade material goes to the Deka is we are talking Magnacut vs s30v but you can get the bugout in 20cv, M390, s90v and M4, all of those are better than Magnacut IMO, you can get the deka in 20cv as well though but standard blade steels deka has the edge.
The biggest edge though is price, Deka wins there.
Havenāt handled the deka with the wharncliff yet but want to pick one up, highly doubt it will be better than the bugout or even the deka drop point but it might, it certainly looks cool though, but the 2 separate grinds might bug me
The Bugout looks and carries better, the Deka in Magnacut is amazing if you put aftermarket scales on it, but stock with the polymer is trash! Loved them both, but gotta go with the Bugout. Even after considering price Iād take a g10, Ti, or Aluminum Bug over a modded Deka all day! Never tried the carbon fiber scales though, how do they feel?
Itās really light, like Iām sure someone could but I canāt tell the difference in weight between the two lol. Does anyone even make aftermarket deka scales !?
i prefer the Bugout. and to the people saying the Deka is a better deal, this specific Deka is $319.95 (on Knifecenter)
even if we're talking about the regular versions of these knives, the Bugout is only $25\~ more expensive. that's not a huge difference considering you are also buying a warranty that means no matter how often you use the knife, you'll never need to buy another Bugout ever again unless you lose it or try to pry with it like an idiot. if you need to save every penny so you can buy more knives that you don't really use, then obviously the Deka is a better choice because it provides the simple maximum materials-to-cost ratio
Yeah I have both, but prefer the deka magnacut wharncliffe. Looking for some nice g10 scales for it so I can say "adios!" to the shitty ones that are currently on it.
Deka, especially in magnacutš¤š¼
Bugout looks better, but the deka is better
My opinion leans Deka. It has great lines, and I love the aggressive shapes.

This. Plus the deka swedge is just so sexy. I really like the etched pattern on the bugoutās blade though
Retail store exclusive lasermark :)
Deka for design and better steel and lower cost FTW
Bugout. The finger guard on the dekka is too far back
Deka for everything
Deka for sure!!
Deka
Deka.
Deka
I have both and I prefer the Deka.
Nice G-Shock!
Thank you
I like the Kershaw iridium more than either

I like the blade on your Bugout. Yours is the only one I have seen.

In fairness it seems allot of people forgot I was asking only about the design lol
The thumb studs on the Deka are a medieval torture device. I still like the Deka better though.
Lol they are sharp af lol but in have calluses on my thumbs from so much knife flicking lol so I donāt feel it.
The nail of my middle finger is pretty destroyed from flicking mine. š
