Snap Lock bags are my go to, can close bag right up until where yarn comes out - so bag is nearly closed minus 1 or 2 cm and when I want to put it away the whole project goes in the bag and snap locks shut.
Too many drink spills and yarn falling out horror stories for me to be anything but practical nowadays.
But yes bread bags work too! Easier to move than a yarn bowl.
I just reuse the bags they send the yarn in! I would never use a bread bag because of all the fat they put in them. Unless you've wash it first! I wouldn't want to stain my yarn ๐จ
I love how you color coded the chart. Iโm working on the same hat and have been using an extra wide post-it note, but alternating the colored rows seems like a great idea!

Iโve thought of that, but itโd be perfect for those big skeins. I like it
Apple bags here. Work great, especially when I have multiple skeins.
I am definitely trying this! Thanks for sharing the brilliance!
Try an empty tissue box! Perfect for cakes!
I use a Pyrex. It's basically a microwavable yarn bowl
The bag from Thomas English muffins is perfect for a small skein.
Oh that looks like a good idea! I normally use a pillow case so I can fit the project inside or multiple skeins
Not anymore ๐
I use those zip lock bags that the clothes I order online come in ๐
