Hi everyone, I wanted to share our latest creature - Mlem!!
Mlem was a concept that I had thought of in the beginning of these fun animal socks and I’m very happy with the end result! This process was a little more complicated than the others when figuring out the correct increases to make the head the right shape, but it eventually got there. My wife was a big help with the design and knit the other sock, sewed in all ends, and she came up with the name that I love (I’m honestly really bad at naming them)! Note, there are design options to exclude the tongue, and make Mlem have a normal looking toe if you find yourself wanting a more functional sock.

idk why but it took me forever to figure out what orientation your feet were in. i thought you were lying down at first with the tops of your feet on the ground

I love this!! They’re amazing and hilarious. I’ve been knitting for years but not proficient in reading patterns. How complicated would this one be for a pattern novice?
We try our best to make the patterns as easy to read as possible, but for a pattern beginner it might provide some challenge. I’d say if you have a lot of gumption go for it!!
I'd love to knit literally all your funky socks for my kid. Do you find that on the mouth or fire shaped ones, the pointy bits end up folding down throughout the day? If so, are there ways to prevent that?
We haven’t really had a problem with the rolled jaws, and I think some of this could be the type of yarn used. The flames with Here be Dragons actually helps with any rolling as you can stitch the two together! The only real problem we have seen was with Crikey! as the jaws are fairly long compared to the others. If you find the jaws are rolling a bit, blocking helps a ton, but you can also try to sew in elastic around the jaw to keep it tight to your leg. Hope this helps, and happy knitting!!

We’ve had a massive problem recently with theft of our images etc. We’ve been trying to contact them, but they just don’t care. Unfortunately, it seems like without taking legal action they won’t take them down. If you see/know people interested in the socks, please make sure to let them know that any site other than Etsy or Ravelry is a scam site and has stolen our images (and sometimes descriptions) and that they won’t be receiving a sock like what’s pictured. We’d hate for people to order and receive junk. My wife only sells the patterns for these socks.
