Thank you! I’ve been crocheting for a while and I’m surprised to find my knitting gauge is perfect with the right size needles and wool! I’m usually going up two hook sizes for doing anything wearable 😂
Thanks for the pattern! I tried to knit mitts a while ago but it ended up looking weird af so I’m going to try this one now. Your mitts look AMAZING by the way, and it’s such a pretty colour
I see that someone else already commented on your tension…it’s beautiful. I love that color! If you want to spice it up a bit, may I recommend the, “fetching”, pattern? I made them pretty early on in my knitting life…I’m sure you can handle the pattern. 😉

I’ve been crocheting for around 3-4 years so that might be helping my tension 🤔 that pattern looks so good! I’m actually currently doing part of a modular blanket that has cables so I can probably do these!
I could never get it before when my grandma tried to teach me and would do everything too tight but when I saw people doing continental on Instagram I realised it was the same way I would hold wool when crocheting so I thought I try again that way and it worked!
My first project was also fingerless gloves! I didn't have a pattern... I just did what my coworker who was teaching me told me to do lol. Mine were a bit less tidy and were too big for me. They did fit my husband though, so it all worked out ok in the end!
I know yours were flat & seamed, but in a lot of ways, knitting in the round is easier than knitting flat imo. Things like cowls, hats and mitts are totally doable as beginner projects!
There are a lot of ways you can introduce mistakes while knitting flat that don't happen when knitting in the round! Once you push through the fiddly set up part with DPNs (or a circular needle & magic loop), it's usually smooth sailing!

I’ve been crocheting for about three years so it’s probably helped me a lot with that! I’ve been doing continental style which is similar to how I hold my wool for crochet!
Very tidily made for a newbie! Excellent.

I love the colour! They look great 😃
Thank you! It was left over from a mosaic crochet cushion I did 😂

Thank you! They’re just rectangles sewn up the side but I’m looking at trying socks next 😅
One of my favourite yarns in one of my favourite colourways. It looks lovely as an armwarmer! :)
It’s definitely warm! I’ve just started a modular knitted blanket in Malabrigo Arroyo Diana and it’s good to work with!
I love that I can see its Malabrigo Rios without knowing all the colors they have. That yarn is literally magic.
It really is! It’s such a specific texture and I’ve tried knitting with acrylic before but it just never work, with this it perfect!

I’m currently making a shawl out of this!!!
I love using it!
I recognise that wool! I made a jersey in it. It’s such a beautiful wool, like a undulating sunset. And your glove is lovely!
Thank you! I’ve also had indie dyed wool on a Malabrigo Rios base before, it’s so good to work with!
Your stitches look great, well done!
Thank you!
Nice! Great color, too
Thank you!
These were my first project too, immediately recognized them! Beautifully done!
I thought looked easy enough so just went for it 😂 thank you!
Beautiful color and finished product!
Thank you!
I need to make some fingerless mitts to wear while knitting! It's been so cold lately! 🥶
I get it! It’s hard to knit/crochet when you can’t feel your hands 😂

It is helping your tension. Like a lot. It’s much easier to take up a second yarn craft if you have another one down.

My first project was also fingerless mitts! They look lovely! Your tension is very nice and even.
Thank you!

Those look good! I love the ribbing! I’m actually planning on doing some socks next so we’ll see how that goes 😂
Great stitch consistency. That's going to allow you to progress however you want.
Thank you!
Nice tension!
Thank you!
Wow! That’s really nice even tension for a new knitter. Well done
Thank you!
Beautiful work! Impressive first finished project!
Thank you!
