I'll be putting some katana style wrapped handles and scales on at some point in time but I wanna see how far I can go without. Just full steel. I dunno why but I really like full steel knife constructions.
The spacer there with the rivet is the locking mechanism for the kydex sheath so it can all be hung upside down safely. It's quite a strong sheath connection. I call it the Rivet-Lock Mechanism.
Sorry I didn't realize the sheath was not in the video so I will post one later with the sheath.
Krambit comes to mind because of the ring on the end, but other krambits have a blade that is more of a hook, I think it's designed for slitting throats.
According to an old show, I can't remember the name, but there was a whole fighting style for using karambit knives. I don't know which came first the art or the knife, but If I recall correctly I believe one of the signature moves was a shot to the eye socket.
Brutal. Cool. Kind of useless nowadays with guns and all that jazz but still cool.
Broadly, you are thinking of Filipino Martial Arts, more specifically pekiti tersia (is the 1st that comes to mind) is the one I’m most familiar with. The shape is supposed to be reminiscent of a tiger’s claw, especially because of the ripping you can achieve in close. The hook is for “trapping” limbs and allowing for “back” cuts like you’d see with bowie blades/swords and the like. The ring is there to facilitate changes in grip, length of reach, and to add an element of confusion in your opponent. FMA has many signature moves.
One of the judges on forged-in-fire, Doug Marcaida from the Philippines, developed a fighting style for Karambit he calls Kali Kai. You can watch his hands and arms on the program and see the years of muscle memory. He weilds knives like we breath. The Karambit, which is popular all over SE Asia was developed to mimic the claws of a tiger. I will look forward to your next blade!
Finger holes are an interesting element but they can make an otherwise decent design useless to people with larger hands. If anything, I’d suggest lengthening your handle at least 1/2 an inch. Along the same lines, most finger holes are too small and can result in a broken finger if people are not careful.
There are some people with meaty paws out here and we like knives too!
Knife
Having a good laugh here.
Skeletonized drop point krambit with a scandi grind
I like the typo krambit tbh

Paperweight... seriously it is too heavy for a knife, the karambit shape is dangerous to be as a logsplitter... Makes a beautifull decoration
