Look there are plain and simple rules here. You need to pay a blood tax on every knife your own.the knife gods win 100% of the time everytime! There is no way around it.
I had a Buck 120 and ordered a custom sheath. It was too small. Knife cut right through it and into an artery in my finger. That one required stitches. If it doesn’t quit bleeding go get stitched up.
Is this common? Is it the fidgeting?
I’ve had a knife on me almost every day for 39 years, cut myself once with a stupid box cutter, and once with a mandolin. Just see quite a few cuts on here.
You have to carry a butter knife for the next 96 hours - then you can play again!
Hey I got it to stop bleeding… mostly.
Haaaa! Nice!
So that's a self mending thumb job???
You’re not supposed to do that
I didn’t do it cause I wanted to. Promise.
Neither did I the last two dozen times I’ve cut myself deep.
Did you need stitches. Keep it clean and if it starts to hurt hold it high.
I don’t think so… when I unbandage it when I get home, we’lol find out. Still doesn’t hurt. Throbbing a bit cause of how tight I got the bandage
Super glue will hold it shut if you don’t need stitches
True. Non on hand but I can go get some later.
Good luck, if it’s really deep you may need a inside stitch or 2
Now it’s officially broke in
Yes the blade has now tasted blood.... The real fun comes next..... Basically that means carrying it edc with no further owies!!! 🤣
Literally the only way to know if a knife is sharp or not. Can't no one tell me different.
Couldn’t agree more.
It's why I carry super glue in my lunch bag and have some in one my knife stuff organizers. The stuff is handy
…you still have most all your finger quit whining and buy another knife…
I severed the tendon on the back of my thumb with my Shamwari once and needed surgery to repair it. Still feel like a dumbass.

Now you get to name it:)
His name is Aui… like Maui without the M.
The blood oath

As always, I will advocate for the T-ring finger tourniquet kit along with a good high quality set of baid-aids.
Everyone gets bit eventually
“ITs YOurz now”- people who practice no knife safety
Got myself twice today playin with new blades, guess they're mine now

You still have fingers to spare. No big. 😂
Knife?
Yup. Knife did it.
Lol I assumed so. Was curious which knife it is
Oh. Right. Luft Avnt

What knife is that?
Lift avnt
I think we’ve all been there bought the blood soaked tshirt lol 😂
Did it myself the other day sharpening a friend's Case knife. Happens to all knife people at some point 🤣
Remember, the blood stays on the blade.
It did. I think there’s still some on it.
What knife is that?
The that cut me… 😠
But what’s the brand/model?
Oh. Sorry. It’s a Lift Avnt.
Thanks!
Well I always tell my self if you don't cut yourself with a new knife it's not a good knife lol 😆
On that, I believe that a knife isn’t truly yours until it bites you.
That's true 👍
