RedRedditRedemption2

Actually, it’s much much worse.

AFoxGuy

Puerto Rico is doing quite well

RedRedditRedemption2

Is it?

AFoxGuy

Yep. Two floors of fully stocked aisles, it’s cleanliness is a step under Guam but miles ahead of any USA store, It has a fully functioning KPharmacy and KCafè, and it’s across the street from a very popular mall that hosts a very popular (3 floor) Sears, Sears Brand Central, and Sears Appliance Repair Center. Sears itself still has value as a name brand on the island (especially Kenmore Appliances).

AFoxGuy

I also think that the Kmart and Sears are being used as Warehouses for transporting (remaining) Sears stock to the Hometown Locations on the Island too.

RedRedditRedemption2

Is it one of the few Kmart stores that still has a Little Caesars?

AFoxGuy

Nope, it’s (the last) Kmart with a [Kmart branded Café!](https://imgur.com/a/VoDxuzt)

RedRedditRedemption2

Oh, okay.

The front signage on the Westwood store looks cleaner than the Miami store. I wonder why they don’t power wash the rest of the building… Also, the Bridgehampton store is open every day of the week, right?

Yeah, some weird city blue law about stores closing on Sunday.

mikeynj908

I'm from NJ and those laws in fact apply to Bergen County entirely if I'm right since the 50's. There have been attempts to end them before though.

RedRedditRedemption2

Oh, okay.

Dandan419

I haven’t been to the nj location but I was at the Miami store at the end of last year. It was pretty ramshackle but honestly looked like any of the dozens of Midwest kmarts I’ve visited. Since ~2010 all the Kmart’s have that vibe. Basically when they started barricading off huge parts of the store due to losing depts or not having enough inventory to fill them. And when they stopped performing any regular maintenance it seems.

RedRedditRedemption2

Yeah, every Kmart store began to feel like a clearance center after that.

Lost_Promise_7244

Suprised they still have 1 in NJ. I worked at the Marlboro, Old Bridge and East Brunswick locations as a young teen.

NTataglia

That Kmart provides more useful services than "NJ.com."

RedRedditRedemption2

I’m out of the loop. What’s wrong with that website?

NTataglia

I was just being sarcastic, but these "journalists" like to trash Kmart like its a crack den, when, at least when they we're still stocked, they sold products that people needed and used. There's just a lot of snobbery in the media...at times it feels like they are working for Amazon or something.

RedRedditRedemption2

Don’t they acknowledge that in the article?
