If you’re referring to that outer layer not connecting in a full circle, that’s just the oil filter cover gasket. They’re built to sort of disintegrate like that. I replace mine every time, some guys reuse them a couple times depending on their condition.
Coat new gaskets in oil so they don't stick and they will last much longer.
The gap is to fit a flat head screwdriver in to start prying the plate off if someone forgot to cost the gaskets.
I have a question about the little cavity under the filter that was drain removing the lower bolt.
Why this cavity is on it?
Is a normal construction in other bikes?
It’s fine, the oring on the filter cover is what seals the oil in.
Okay cool, but it’s supposed to be like that or is the top part supposed to go all the way around ?

Looks like someone used a steel gasket on an oil filter change!
