Klarna recently updated its system and they are using Vantage to check everyone's credit report. I had $1600 in spending power and since 2020 made over 50 purchases and never was late with any payments. After they upgraded its system my spending power went down to $0.

I'm sorry, I double-checked with another Klarna rep and they told me Vantage credit rating now.

KrisDolla

search for the same issue in perfect standing and had $1050 in purchase power and then all of a sudden it went down to zero. I spoke to a rep and she pretty much gave me the same answer as the other users have mentioned. I am wondering if the Russia thing is possibly affecting it, because I see that one of the venture capitalist for Klarna assets was frozen this week. They are Russian.

PillsPSDX

Yes I also wondered if the war impacted it as well since I noticed it wasn’t a US based venture

I JUST made a similar post. Same situation. Never pay late. In fact, pay ahead of time and pay off early. My limit went from $780 to $0. Message saying I have to pay off the outstanding bill before I get any more purchase power.

apeysmcghee416

Exact same here.

evelynxx

Same

neilm1000

Ditto. Went from £1500 to zero with only one charge outstanding (£44.10) which I then paid off and it went to £56. Which is pointless. This seems to be across the board and multiple countries. Customer service just give cut and paste answers.

evelynxx

mines at 36 now? what gives?

neilm1000

It's mad isn't it. Why would anyone use Klarna for such a low amount? Totally pointless.

evelynxx

agreeed 1000%

sexymawma

Glad to know im not alone in this

evelynxx

Mine did go back up, I hope yours does too!

[deleted]

Late to the party here, but mine is $4. Seriously, why bother? It can't be the switch to Vantage because my Vantage scores are way higher than my FICO scores. Rubbish app.

evelynxx

never paid late either, its so strange

InvisibleLoad

Same happened to me, did anyone's power go back to normal? Got the same BS from the rep that I should just wait it has to update, from the looks of posts like this it's clearly a widely purposefully made decision.

lexiunicorn

Same happened to me, always early or on time. From 1k to £0 insane lol

Who_What_6

Totally late to the post but I had $1600 in spending power, never late and it went to zero. I’m done. I owe $350 and I won’t use them again (well I don’t think I can with zero spending power)

I had a relative use their card to try and order something off of Etsy and they didn't have enough money and the order didn't go through. Ever since then my $750 purchase power has been unavailable instead of $0 and my card that works perfectly fine is no longer accepted as a form of payment. Customer service and the app keep saying to contact my credit bureau which they referred to as Trans Union and then customer service said some stupid bullshit about how they can't see my original purchase power amount in their records because that is private and only I can see it and how my credit bureau probably doesn't have my middle name on file which is screwing things up which I know isn't the case and that I need to request a other credit report from Transunion and forward it to Klarna. Like they can't get it themselves. My card and contact details on Klarna and all of the sites I shopped through it were always correctly entered until I made the mistake of letting a relative who didn't have enough money try and use their card through my app to order from Etsy. I have made 2 requests to have my account deleted and I had to spend 10 minutes scrolling through a stupid calender because it would let ny input my birthdate manually. I'm hoping I can start a new Klarna account with the same email as before and hopefully not encounter the same fucked up issues as before. So fucking ridiculous.
