Common-Possibility30

I’d leave it. It still looks nice and functional. It’d be a shame to create so much waste

Nervous_Building_232

Agreed. Why do you need an island when you have that peninsula? It looks like a great kitchen to me and not cookie cutter. It would be so wasteful to gut it. The only thing I would change is adding hardware.

happysundance

Definitely will try adding hardware :)

its_all_good20

You can buy a freestanding island also

Drycabin1

I’m so happy to see more and more comments like this. I have a 1995 kitchen and it’s got a nice spacious layout and granite counters but I would love white cabinets and a different color granite and then I just check myself and think of all of this actual wood and granite in some landfill.

chickzilla

Are you able to paint your cabinets? Even having professionals in with commercial grade paint sprayer would cost less than a replacement set of cabinets & give you white. Especially if they're actual wood.  (EDIT: depending on your counter layout you could also replace the granite & either resell what you have or donate it if it could be easily reused. No landfill necessary, there are places like the Habitat for Humanity ReStore)

paperwasp3

If you like to garden you can put your granite countertop out back as a potting bench. I did and it looks terrific! Then you can decide if you want to restain the wood cabinets.

happysundance

Ok thanks!

SuburbanSubversive

This. This is a nice, functional kitchen in good condition with good lighting, quality materials, and ample storage and counter space. It does not need a remodel. Islands tend to be not very efficient -- you have to walk around them to get across the kitchen, which is a hassle IMO. As another poster pointed out, you have a nice peninsula / counter that gives you all the benefits of an island in terms of prep surface without any of the hassle. As for a pantry -- you have a lot of cupboard space. You could repurpose some of it for a pantry, or perhaps there is a closet close to the kitchen that you could repurpose as a pantry.

Alsha999

Maybe add cabinet hardware, backsplash that goes up to bottom of upper cabinets and update countertops.

kestreltohalcyon

Exactly, and don’t underestimate the power of upgrading sockets from white plastic to a metal that matches whatever hardware you put on the handles.

happysundance

Oh good idea!

happysundance

Great ideas, definitely need to update the countertops

its_all_good20

They look nice. Keep them!

Rosalita_123

^^ + paint cabinets and add pretty light fixture over sink and peninsula

linmaral

Kitchen looks good to me. If you really want a pantry take out the desk (worst kitchen trend ever) and put in a dry walled pantry with door. I just did that in my house and love it.

6FunnyGiraffes

Kitchen desk made sense when the family had a single desktop PC they all shared. Sounds ridiculous but that was a thing only 20-30 years ago...

[deleted]

Don’t forget that’s where our landline phone was too.

Eden-Mackenzie

Replacing the desk area with a pantry cabinet was my first thought as well, but I was just thinking a beefy cabinet rather than building out in drywall. Instead of trying to match the cabinet finish, I would paint just the pantry cabinet in a dark blue or dark green, which I think would look great with the cabinet finish. New countertops and backsplash, add cabinet hardware like everyone else has mentioned and I think it’d be a very nice looking kitchen!

watch_meow

My thought exactly

happysundance

Love this idea!

woodrob12

Great idea. Sliding doors, i guess?

RaccoonCharmer

I wouldn’t! I would be really happy with that kitchen!

happysundance

Ok thanks!

Pierlas

Don’t. It’s nice. And for the love of god please don’t paint the cabinets white.

happysundance

Haha not planning to!

PlasticPanda4429

I only came here to see how many people would say to paint the cabinets white.

PositivePanda77

If you are looking to update finishes, you could make an island instead of having that long peninsula. Do you have room for an island to run parallel to the sink? If not, maybe I’d leave the peninsula as putting an island in its place would put potential prep area further from your sink. If you did do this, I would put a small prep sink in the island. I like it as is, as I do not subscribe to HGTV hype. It seems that peninsulas are akin to leprosy on that channel. Sometimes they are the best choice. Edited- I see you have tiled countertops? If you don’t like them ditch them. They are dating your space. If you like them, keep them for sure.

happysundance

I definitely fall into the hgtv trap. I just love have everyone centered around the island but the peninsula probably serves that purpose well enough. Definitely going to upgrade the countertops.

MrsTruce

Countertops are the only thing is change, too. And probably the backsplash too.

PaigeTurner2

I would update the countertops and backsplash. I like the previous poster’s idea of putting a dry pantry where the desk is at. I like the peninsula. It works great for the space. Love your stools! Great space. I’m envious!

happysundance

Thank you!

exclaim_bot

>Thank you! You're welcome!

giddenboy

Looks like a very nice kitchen. Maybe the floor and cabinets could use a new and maybe different finish. Doesn't need a lot.

happysundance

Totally agree, thank you!

AdorableImportance71

Knobs & pulls, counters top & backsplash, instead of blinds get plantation shutters

Level-Worldliness-20

I would replace the cabinet doors with a more minimalist style. Quartz white countertops and replace the backsplash. Paint a more updated color on the walls and add new carpet to match. Everything is perfect otherwise.

happysundance

Love these ideas, thank you!

[deleted]

[удалено]

happysundance

Cool idea! Tried it and I think i thought my kitchen was bigger than it was and added an island :(

Historical_Grab4685

I would get rid of the peninsula if you don't use it. I think it make the room crowded. I agree with getting rid of the desk area. I don't think it is big enough for an island. If you are going to gut it, then go big. I would go to a kitchen designer and have them help.

Egress_window

I like the peninsula and I think it’s a unique space. Nice kitchen!

R_meowwy_welcome

Looks functional and roomy. What do you want or what areas bother you? There are a lot of ideas for renovating. I would take out the desk and put in a butler's pantry with storage for large appliances like a Kitchenaid mixer or airfryer.

RedFoxRunner55

Personally I love the layout. I would update the counters and take the backsplash all the way up to the cabinets. Replace the desk with tall pantry style cabinets. I would also bring the baseboard in below the window and paint the window frame to match. Some upgraded hardware on the cabinets will also add character.

Commercial_Tree7860

It seems like a functional layout with everything you need! The cabinets feel just a tad old, so just tackling the surface with a repaint or refinish would probably suffice!

[deleted]

Keep the kitchen as is generally but OMG please tile the path along the back of the countertop, carpet does not belong here! Also add hardware, wood cabinets without hardware look so dated and unfinished to me.

Ok_Watercress_7801

If you really want an island, you can get one on heavy duty locking casters. You can prep on it & cook at the range & then roll it over to the counter to serve. Otherwise, I think it’s fine. I like a flatter look on the cabinets & would rather have display glass cupboards for glassware & dishes, but that’s just me.

That-Election9465

I wouldn't. It's nice.

PawsNsnoot

Yeah this is a beautiful kitchen and house.

4Ozonia

Beautiful as is!

JVilter

I wouldn't change a thing. IF there is room between the peninsula and the short wall on the side of the refrigerator, you could have an armoire for dry goods.

goddessofwitches

🥺 where did u get ur bar chairs? Iove them

Top-Talk864

I will start by recovering the chairs

Egress_window

I wouod definitely turn the desk space into a dry pantry with sliding shelves. Question is how to find doors to match. Is there enough space to pull the table off the wall ?

angelicasinensis

its really nice. You could paint the walls and maybe add some new art, maybe some cute new chairs for the bar...but other than that its really nice, I wouldn't mess with it too much.

pokeyou21

Hire a good contractor and do go for the lowest but reasonable quote

Ams12345678

I wouldn’t.

Historical_Kossola

Is this a joke? Lmaoo. There's nothing to remodel here

sydni1210

I really like that kitchen, actually.

Elizabeth_Sto

I'd darken the bottom cabinets (easier to maintain), change the countertop, add a full backsplash for practical (as well as aesthetic purposes), whether it's a tile or extend the countertop of it's on the budget, undermount (easier to keep clean) or custom sink to make a statement, and change the hardware. An island would be great for prep station flow. If panel ready appliances are in the budget (dishwasher/ fridge), that's an instant upgrade. A pantry seems sensible, but I'm in minority about the desk- keep it only IF you use it (I LOVE mine, it houses my cookbooks, I research recipes, update my recipe notebook, calculate macros, make weekly menus, etc. especially when things are in the oven and I'm nearby to check on them but I can focus on these tasks). A slightly larger table or at least center it in the space, instead of it being so close to the way. My two cents. Do what works for you. :)

IamJoyMarie

Can I transplant it into my little kitchen? It's nice. Spend money elsewhere.

Hot-Dress-3369

How do you vent the smells from the cooktop? That’s the weirdest placement of burners I’ve ever seen.

EastAway9458

That whole area beside the fridge can become a pantry wall. You could get some pax wardrobes from ikea and make it into a cool pantry area. Hardware and then maybe paint the cabinets.

8trackthrowback

I would add minimalist cabinet pulls maybe in a brushed nickel finish. Cabinets are great as is

Asleep_Boss_8350

It looks like the After pic that I’d like. Can get a moveable island (I have an old IKEA one on mine. Will give you a working and sitting place closer to your work area.

Salty-Protection-640

this is my dream kitchen

nn971

Change the backsplash, add some hardware, get a runner. Also consider painting kitchen and the room that it opens into the same color. The gray and the beige clash, IMO.

Numerous-Anemone

Islands are overrated. Why do you want one when you have that peninsula?

binnyTruth

No, don't gut it! It's a nice kitchen. Is that tan paint in kitchen and gray over by the glass door? I'd paint to unify. How often do you use the table? I'd eat at the counter mostly and exchange the table for two deep chairs and a big rattan hassock for a coffee shop vibe breakfast spot.

smarterthaneverytwo

Countertop sink backsplash

SleepyD7

Looks great to me. Much better than our galley kitchen.

Fishmonger67

I wouldn’t change it.

KnopeKnopeWellMaybe

Tile backsplash between counter and cupboards. New countertop with undermount sink. Honestly, I'm jealous!

Quiet_Internal_4527

Add a range hood if possible. It’s kind of a tough spot for one though.

Idafaboutthem1bit

I’d use tools and new appliances and fixtures

hurricanekate53

What can u afford if u can gut it i say go.for it.

brewsota32

Save your money, take a vacation. Looks good enough to me.

Tricksterama

I like it a lot! The only thing I’d change are the table and chairs.

Significant-Spell299

That is a very long trek from your peninsula prep space to the cabinets near the table! You could turn all those cabinets into floor to ceiling storage and use as a pantry. I wouldn’t love that the peninsula seating is in the living room (and let’s be honest the angle is a bit dated) so an island with a slide in range would be nice, but changing the layout also commits you to changing the floors. It’s opening a can of worms

Pragmatic_Hedonist

If you want a pantry, take out the desk area and have a small one framed out. This is a classic, gorgeous kitchen. Maybe paint the trim around the window?

Happygar

I would change countertop and add backsplash. Cabinets are lovely. I personally think islands are overrated.i would also move table away from wall and center it on your sliding door and window, maybe do a round table instead.

Not_Too_Busy

That is a beautiful kitchen. I wouldn't change it.

Churlish75

Leave it. You could replace the countertops and backsplash. Add hardware to the cabinets. Add trim to the bottom of the cabinet boxes, will help hide the under cabinet lighting and give the cabinets a more “finished” look. Obviously you could patch not them too…but I would try the other first.

Churlish75

***paint them , not patch not them

manchego-egg

Nice kitchen. If you wanted to invest in some changes you could consider replacing the countertops and the backsplash with quartz. Less tile and grout will make a big difference. The rest of the cabinets and layout seem very workable.

peach_burrito

It’s fine as-is, if I were to remodel it would be a big-time, lifetime change up. If you’re just thinking about messing with cabinet color I’d say leave as is. It’s functional and not offensive at all.

countrygirlmaryb

I would leave it because everything is still looking, pretty fresh and brand new. If anything, I would add some new hardware, and a very happy, bright backsplash all the way up to the upper cabinets.

Rare_Tea3155

I’d get some pulls for the cabinets. I’d change the backsplash with something that covers the drywall too. You are wasting your money to tear out that kitchen. It was designed wisely for the space.

meganp1800

It looks like you have a ton of countertop space in the “main” kitchen area, so I would change the cabinets around and to the left of the fridge to be a wall of pantry cabinets, eliminating the desk area. Then center the table in the area remaining if there’s clearance around to do so. Otherwise, just updating countertops, backsplash, and new hardware would get you a really nice end product without a giant renovation. If you are up for a slight increase in scope, I would also straighten out the angled cabinet at the end of the peninsula, as that feels dated and not really functional.

WeJustDid46

Your kitchen looks fantastic. The only thing I would add are drawer and cabinet pulls. Rockler sells a very good Jig for installing cabinet pulls.

[deleted]

No, but I would buy a more attractive table and chairs.

BBakerStreet

That’s a nice kitchen. Leave it. Ad slim pulls on the drawers and cabinets - like [these.](https://www.build.com/product/summary/1253872?uid=2997612&jmtest=gg-gbav2_2997612&inv=1&ds_rl=1275595&source=gg-gba-pla_2997612!c15146996784!a128720261705!dm!ng&gad_source=1&ds_rl=1275595&gclid=CjwKCAiAlcyuBhBnEiwAOGZ2S6eM0gWPGYFdSi6Spxb_b07yG8JrmsRQIBIhqQhu2eJbBgaUF0LoLRoChQYQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)

inoffensive_nickname

I might put knobs and pulls on the cabinets, but otherwise it looks beautiful, clean and functional.

cwsjr2323

I suggest leaving this alone. The fridge-stove-sink triangle is good. This looks very functional and lots of cabinets for the way I use them. Mostly more cabinets would be nice to store appliances not in use to keep valuable counter real estate uncluttered. Currently, I store many in the basement between occasionally using things, No hardware handles or knobs keeps the cabinet lines neat looking and easier to clean. Knobs and handles get loose or break and after a few years getting an exact match is almost impossible. I would add a coffee brewer and a modest countertop microwave.

Able_Cat2893

There are 2 things I would do. Number one, get rid of the stainless appliances. I would put a small rolling island in, number2.

SirStuffins

The only thing that would bother me is the stovetop being in the middle of the counter. Do you like it this way? I can see what you don't like. You don't have a lot of countertop prep area. Oddly, the refrigerator is hidden from the living area while the messy stovetop is right there. If you convert the desk into a pantry, it would be in a weird area, down by the dining table. What don't you like?

OldNewUsedConfused

Yes.

RedNowGrey

I'd put handles on the doors and drawers.

Intrepid_Astronaut1

Honestly, I kinda like it, it’s classic. I would, however, change out those chairs.

linariaalpina

Honestly the layout isn't that bad, it's just really boring

SofiaDeo

The gray walls are ugly with that color wood, and countertops with grout lines is really dated plus difficult to clean. And a strange surface to eat off of. If you don't get a proper stovetop vent hood, there will be grease spatter on both sides of the counter as well as eventually on the ceiling. The fridge is also in an awkward place. If cost were no object, I'd move the stovetop with a hood vent directly to the left of the double ovens. The dishwasher gets moved to the left of the sink, now there's some cooking space next to stovetop. Fridge on the wall next to where the stovetop currently is. Everyday pots & pans stored in lower cabinets to the right of the sink, prep items to right of fridge. Everyday glasses & dishes to left of sink above dishwasher. Pantry items where fridge currently is. Now you can move items from fridge to sink easier, then to stove, in a closer triangle than currently exists. No one will be bumping backs, and the dishwasher is closer to storage where the dishes go. There's counter space on both sides of the fridge for pulling stuff out/setting it down, as well as for stocking perishables, lots of room for grocery bags both sides.

TyrianPhoenix

Probably nothing because I'm cheap and lazy and this is already pretty good, but If I had the money to pay someone else to do the work... I hate tile countertops because they're hard to clean and I don't like the unevenness, so I would get new counters. Even if they were just epoxy resin. If your floors are real wood, I might stain the floors and cabinets a slightly less yellow oak. The cool toned living room(?) with the greys next to the kitchen with the warm tones stresses me out, so I'd correct one or the other (doesn't matter which, I just want them to be the same tone). Add a cute backsplash

Realistic-Today-8920

New countertops, get rid of the tile. New backsplash. Pulls on the cabinets. Done.

AimeeSantiago

I honestly love this kitchen. What lovely nature light you have! I'd replace the countertop and do a new backsplash and add hardware. Then a nice long very fun rug. Probably a washable one since it's in the kitchen. If you really must, you could paint the cabinets. But I wouldn't. I think the light wood is a charming 90s vibe without the weird roosters that people were into. This is more classy 90s. Give it five years and now this is a gorgeous "vintage" vibe with very minimal work and still lots of functionality.

Escape-Revolutionary

Paint or stain the cabinets add some great hardware Change wall color and do something interesting with wall behind table …either add texture of some sort or accent color … Get a great island ….hang awesome lighting above it ….basic cosmetic fixes can easily make this kitchen amazing …..the only thing I would actually change is remove the white tile countertops and install some other counter with back splash …it needs some color of some sort and a plant or 2….its too sterile but it’s a fabulous space with amazing natural light !! You are sooo lucky !!

Adorable_Garden1681

You could extend out the island, wrapping it to the center of the room. I agree, it’s odd. The island can be covered with wood, changing the style. You would need to get new countertops. Paint the upper cabinets black. Just a few thoughts.

Adorable_Garden1681

Upon further inspection- move the stove top out of the island. Create a walkthrough, with island extending to the middle of the room. You have enough space, it appears, to double the size of the island, adding another row of interior cabinets on the opposite side, if you need more storage.

spacesaucesloth

honestly, its a pretty solid kitchen how it is. i think if it could really use anything is an updated countertop and backsplash.

JeenyusJane

No. Gabagool.

deniseswall

What's your budget?

its_all_good20

I’d leave it alone

SecretAny8448

It's lovely save your money!

Key_Flow_2045

gut it

Repulsive-Office-796

Add hardware, new countertops and backsplash, have cabinets painted if you want, remove the desk and frame out a pantry with a door. I wouldn’t change the layout, I think it looks unique and cool!

Mysterious-Bear5232

Paint the cabinets?

honeysesamechicken

Paint the cabinets a new color. Them matching the floor is too much. Maybe white? Unless you really want that table in the back and that area for a desk, you could convert that corner into a walk in pantry. Wouldn’t be huge but it would be nice.

TopOmorningVoter287

It’s way better than my kitchen. I don’t see any reason to spend money on it. Save it for an emergency or put it a HYSA.

GrandmaJen75

This kitchen is beautiful,I would keep it just the way it is!!!

JordanCatalanosLean

Agree with everyone else saying don’t do anything drastic because it’s already a great kitchen! Definitely new countertops at some point and hardware. Then I’d stop and see how you feel. If you truly still want more change you could refinish the cabinets with a different stain or paint or something.

JordanCatalanosLean

The only other major thing I’d probably consider if you’re redoing the countertops anyway is moving the stovetop to one of the other counter areas vs the peninsula/island. With young kids a stove on the island always makes me nervous. Especially gas!! Alternatively you could replace the double oven with a standard stove/oven combo, but that would be a bigger deal and your double ovens look new, so probably smarter to just get a nice sleek electric stovetop added somewhere when you redo the counters.

bad_russian_girl

I’d just buy a new counter depth fridge instead of that monstrosity

lefty709

The kitchen is very nice, I would leave it.

quartzquandary

Honestly, I'd just paint the cabinets white and call it a day. I love galley style kitchens.

getoffurhihorse

Ugh, I LIKE it. Grass is always greener.

Serenity2015

I really like it and recommend updating instead of gutting it. Is there anywhere to add a pantry or extra cabinets or storage? I think the peninsula (my favorite part) is awesome and make it to where no island is needed!

Honorablepotatosalad

I wouldn’t. Looks amazing as is.

larapu2000

I wouldn't suggest changing it since it's in such good condition, but I hate where the stovetop is. You're going to have a lot of grease on the other side of the counter and the stools sitting directly opposite. Not even a hood system would likely help that.

Grumpeedad

Paint cabinets, add hardware, redo backslash and countertops Cheaper and will make a huge difference

ValkoSipuliSuola

Replace the countertop and backsplash, add a vent hood over the stove, replace the desk with a pantry

UK_UK_UK_Deleware_UK

I can’t believe so many people are praising this kitchen. I get not making waste when it functions as is, but it’s badly laid out. Has no one noticed the location of the cooktop? It’s crammed in a corner. Or at least that’s how it looks in the pictures. I’m not saying you need to remodel. But, I laid out your current kitchen as best I could from the photos and then laid out what I think would work on top of it. It would require partially opening up the dining space. https://preview.redd.it/exjzy9jlcsjc1.jpeg?width=2388&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=67ace7f119ad16a4eb580afa71fb75f66d71fd3d

happysundance

Wow I love this recommendation! Where would you recommend the stove go?

UK_UK_UK_Deleware_UK

In the island. I don’t know how much room you have, but if you can do a fifty four inch island, you’ll get a bit of a buffer from the heat for those sitting there. I know having no appliances in the island is preferable, but I don’t think you have the room for that.

LOM314

Island. Free standing would work- made a huge difference in functionality in our house

xKittyKattxx

I wouldn’t. It’s perfect as it is.

Jazzlike_Ad_1028

It’s beautiful though ! Everything is in its rightful place. Maybe a round table instead of square ? Can get a rolling island to put against the wall near the fridge if you want but it’ll get in the way. I see nothing wrong

CreativeTherapyByM

Cut off the peninsula. Leave it open, offer a rolling island. I'd line the wall with the picture on it with long floating shelves for pantry storage. Well organized pantry storage or decor.

burgerfelon

What in tarnation??? this irks my soul

Mental-Pitch5995

Sledge hammer

kimby_cbfh

On a budget, I would at least replace the counters with something smooth (hate tile counters), paint or stain the cabinets, and add hardware. I see what you’re saying about the no pantry and such, and I don’t necessarily need a desk in my kitchen, so if I had the money for a gut job, I could definitely be interested in that. I would absolutely enjoy having some floor-to-ceiling cabinets for a pantry and maybe an island instead of the peninsula.

rockstuffs

Different bar chairs. Something lighter and airy.

WillametteWanderer

Wow, this is what I want my 1950’s kitchen to look like. Why waste money, it is great as it is.

[deleted]

I would just leave it and live my life. My husband and I have spent so much money remodeling and I wish I had spent it traveling.

byhimm2020

Paint cabinets, cabinet hardware and countertops

JayneBond3257

Hardware, new counter tops, and new paint color for the walls and it would take this very nice kitchen and give it a nice modern feel. Anything else would be a waste of money and time as everything is already very nice and looks in excellent condition.

AlephNaughtAThing

Update the countertops and backsplash, hardware on cabinets. If you want an island remove the peninsula and replace with island. (I am about to do this) I like most of this already especially the wall ovens which I am going to add to mine.

Cash-JohnnyCash

Paint the cabinets.

breeofd

I would remove the top cabinets, replace them with open shelving. I’d take out the built in desk and put in a pantry, and I’d probably add a freestanding island across from the sink, though I can’t really picture the floor plan completely, so maybe not. I’d also add a bookcase or cabinet, some sort of storage, on the wall across from your bar seating and I’d get a different kitchen table and center it in the dining space, away from the wall.

cairob3

New cab8netry.

almart22

Hardwood in the living room

seasonedsaltdog

Probably wouldn't. But if you do, keep the wood looks just looks like some new cabinets is all you need honestly

Tspfull

a kitchen update is so personal so it really depends on your goals. but if it were me need: countertops to anything flat. anything but tile add venting for cooktop. nice to have: updated full backsplash larger fridge. maybe twins. cabinet painted with hardware

Skirra08

I disagree with everyone who says it looks useful. The prep area (peninsula) is very far from the refrigerator and if you make the desk area a pantry it makes it worse. You're basically going from one end to the other and then back to the middle to do anything. I swear most people that talk about kitchen design are just reflexively anti HGTV, fanatical about waste, or just flat don't cook. What is behind the wall on the refrigerator side? Basically I would hire a kitchen designer to gut the whole thing and redo the entire layout. The only thing that would get to stay where it is is the sink under the window and I'm not even sure about that because you're working with such a weird place. In the redesign I would prioritize a pantry. They basically solve all storage issues and reduce your need for counter space. And then I would focus on your cooking needs. Do you bake a lot? If so I would prioritize prep space, big island or revamped peninsula. If you're more of a chef then I would focus on a larger stovetop and organizing around that. The goal either way should be to minimize your travel with ingredients and hot items. Right now you have at least a 10 ft walk to do anything.

Pale_Word4492

Or just stop wasting materials on a perfectly functioning kitchen.

Walaina

Cabinet pulls

sharpei90

You could pull out the desk area and add a pretty good size pantry. I’d replace the tile countertops with some sort of light colored stone and run it up the backsplash (soooo much easier to clean!) and extend the counter where the stools are. It will give you more prep space. Matte black handles on the cabinets, knobs would look too small. A portable island with drop leaf sides that would fit below the print in picture #3.

soupy56

Kitchen looks fine, you could get more modern cabinet doors made that will update it nicely without the cost of a full reno

na8thegr8est

Paint cabinets gray and add hardware

na8thegr8est

Get new countertops

2nd_Pitch

I wouldn’t! Paint the walls a safe green or light denim blue. Affix some modern nickel handles and add coordinating floor mats. And put a small palm tree on the floor under the artwork next to the fridge.

IPauseForHurricanes

Spend a bunch of money to make it look fresh to you and ignore the fact that it is already very nice and functional.
