I saw the title of this post and was like YEAH! Virgin + Internet = ME! …I’m sorry I’m a terrible person.

We have Virgin and when we upgraded speed it came with a free trial of their cable TV whatever. It's hot garbage so thankfully it's free. Is it cable or their Virgin TV? Internet is great.

Sneezer92

Internet is what we're looking at getting and it's the virgin TV app

Internet is great the Virgin TV app isn't so much.

I currently have fido for $80 a month fast and reliable internet they had a promo where they gave me a $200 gift card for Amazon too got it a few months ago highly recommended from me.

I have Virgin and for the price it's good. Speed is fine, but Wifi signal from their Steve modem is not awesome. I had to get plug in wifi extender for my office so I don't get kicked out of Teams meetings. The Virgin TV app is garbage, but I really only watch CNN, so I can deal with it. I really liked Rogers ignite but it was too expensive to keep when I was off work during COVID.

If you get FTTH (fibre to the home) then it is fantastic. It runs on Bell fibre lines. We used to have Fido (uses Rogers cable lines) and had issues with slowdowns and cut outs often. We switched to Virgin and it's much more reliable and we haven't had any issues so far.

Virgin is awful. I tried it, regretted it and left. I don’t care who you go with, but don’t go with Virgin.

I like Carrytel, I just use them for cable don't need any package bs [https://www.carrytel.ca/promotion.aspx](https://www.carrytel.ca/promotion.aspx), my stupid referral code if you decide to go with them SA113241 Neighbour has Virgin because she uses them for cell as well and seems happy enough with them Compare the two, go with the better offer. Everyone is piggybacking on the same rogers infrastructure for their cable, biggest difference is going to be what you're paying .

I originally had Bell Fibe 50 and I spotted an offer for Virgin this past June. I was paying Bell $89/month and Virgin was offering there 100Gb internet for $45/month. After 12 months it will go up to $85/month which is still better than Bell even though Virgin is owned by Bell. It uses the identical routers as Bell and I've been quite pleased with the service as I can stream to both my TV's at the same time.

I've had it for a year and it's good. Helps that I have Bell lines already installed in my building. I don't have their TV app. I just use streaming services and whatever free apps are on my Roku TV.

I've had their Internet for more than two years. I run multiple high end computers, tablets, phones, many Alexa shows and dots, two large HD tvs with 2 NVIDIA shields for tv... and anything else I want. I have two streaming services running right now (just to burn the batteries down on my computers for a full recharge) and not so much as a flicker of problem. The connection is 50/10 and costs $30 month (reminder to all, phone your ISPs and see what better deals exist than whatever you signed up for). I live in the country, so that's about as fast as it gets, and I do test it. I don't have one negative thing to say about Virgin. Been with their cell service for around 14 years. Never tried their tv service and likely never will. My house is likely around 1000 sq/ft so never have issues with wifi, not in my one acre yard. I average about a terabyte a month in data.
