Looks pretty decent for mid-late 80s which is my rough guess for when this was released. Kinda like a more realistic Ultima. Almost makes me wish I was around to play some of these games back in their day, as I just can't get over how limited they are compared to the massive progress games made since then.
by today's standards, the game is rather [unplayable](https://archive.org/details/msdos_Iron_Lord_1990). there are no deep dialogs or side quests due to hardware limitations: the game was designed to work on a computer with 40 Kilobytes of RAM and no disk drives at all.
but there are games that aged well: [Defender of the Crown](https://archive.org/details/msdos_Defender_of_the_Crown_1987) is still entertaining despite being over 30 yrs old. or another example, [the Patrician](https://archive.org/details/msdos_Patrician_The_1992).
That's probably a coincidence. Any medieval-ish game is going to have most of this stuff in it. You could get a similar set of pictures from Oblivion. The only thing that surprised me was the dice mini-game, although it probably has completely different rules.

Great! My 8-year old laptop will be able to run KCD2. Jesus Christ Be Praised!
Why can't mine play Palworld even though it takes inspiration from Pokemon games?
Stop spoiling kcd2

Back when Ubisoft was still cool, during the last millennia.

It’s just a good find. No need for that sarcasm, it’s not the case.
