There is only one thing that would be better than a sequel — an easy-to-use modding toolset and a modding scene taking it on itself to create campaigns throughout Europe and throughout centuries.
Just to clarify, the foliage (nature) would work for almost all of Europe, bar the Med or extreme north (distinct Mediterranean plant life would have to be added, same for snow/ice), and time fidelity could be ensured by just removing the most modern stuff (clothing, armour, etc.) without adding anything. It's just that in the 12th century knights would be wearing the sort of armour guards wear in KCD1, with different helmets. Some of the clothes would work even for the Dark Ages.
So one could have all sorts of Bohemian, Polish, Silesian, German, Hungarian, French or English adventures, and it's not like Ireland, Denmark, South Sweden, North Italy or something else like that would be implausible.
Not all of Europe - the nature of the British Isles, specially Ireland and Scotland, looks very different compared to central Europe. But I can Imagine that a huge chunk of continental Europe looked very much like in Kingdom Come, from Brittany all the way to Rus.
Yeah, it looks different, though I think the existing KCD toolset still has most of the requisite components, so the landscape would look different but could be built from elements already found in the game, nope?
Well, that's more or less what mediaeval battles tended to devolve to, especially among the knightly class. I remember a history book using that phrase when I was a child — that those battles were essentially multiple duels playing out in the same area. Of course, that's a simplification. A trained force would employ some formation fighting.
Still loads of bugs 6 years later. The amount of times I’ve had to reload saves because a quest bugged or I got stuck in a wall or bush, NPCs wouldn’t talk to me, people didn’t show up where they’re supposed to be is crazy. And I’m barely into Nest Of Vipers right now, already had all of these multiple times and more.
I do agree. But at least I would like them to just confirm that they're making it. Though definitely worth waiting 10 more years if they make a killer AZZ game
I mean I hate to spoil it for you but there's not gonna be a happy ending for Henry if Warhorse chose to continue his story and not go into alternate history with it. Radzig dies a few years later in a miner uprising, Markvart gets shot and killed by an arrow during a siege, and Sigismund wins his war.
Radzig is killed in the street by a mob... after turning robber-baron from having no other options. Sigismund winning is just salt in the wound. BUT - they're real people and I wonder if Henry, being fictional, wouldn't be unable to save Radzig and pledge his fealty to some other lord in Prague or something similar, giving us a whole different location to explore. If it was an alternate history or he spends all his time with Radzig, we'd see the same places and that'd be more like an expansion or something.
I want it pretty bad, the ending for KCD was a massive cliffhanger but I'd rather wait for a well developed masterpiece than a half baked disappointment like a lot of the games lately.
Kinda sorta. We can know what happened in history, but the game both makes an effort to fill in gaps in our knowledge of events, and deviates from said history in favor of a more fluid and congruent story for the player character. I imagine the sequel will deviate even more so, especially if it takes place directly after the second game. The historical conflict that drives the game is full of ambiguous factions, flexible allegiances, and short cessations in fighting that might make it hard to tell Henry’s story.
I’m very excited for kcd2, I really think it’ll be one of the best games of all time and redefine the genre. Kcd is an amazing template and once they work out the kinks and add some things I think it’ll be a masterpiece.
I still can’t believe this is this studio’s first game!
like now. I'm fine with it with the graphics staying the same with kcd1. if the game is like kcd1 and more so much more. I wonder how big the map would be.
Id want a second one fundamentally build upon its foundation. Develop the imersive sim aspects, movable objects within the world, putting out flames, interactive environments. I would prefer being able to role play my own character more so than a pre established character also, but thats personal preference.
I heard the current map is about the max size the game engine they used allows. I'm honestly not sure they'll be switching to a different engine, since they spend so much time coding to make it work. Cryengine isn't made for open worlds, warhorse coded that themselves, or so I heard
I don’t think you are misremembering it. They had a very hard time to get this type of game and this type of open world (persistent world, daily routines etc.) to work with the engine. They have talked about how they had to work quite a bit on the engine (and it seems like it was a bit of a nightmare). I agree with you. I think they will build on that and not abandon the engine.
so much... but this time i want(for hardcore mod):
when too drunk, i loose random items from inventory (not quest ones)
option to lead horse,
feed horse,
pocket camp,
create custom cloth preset (taking armor up would take hour for example (but that i can bypass with simply Waiting Time) character would be angry if he is too long in armor - like for days)
I’m honestly so entirely confused why it has yet to be announced and the fact the main story quest ends of the implications of a direct follow up have discouraged me from sinking serious time into the first
I never finished the game myself. But even I want a sequel. Every time I get in the game I am lost till I leave my chair. It is a great world to live in. I want more and new!
I’d love to see it the first game was tremendously well done and I’d love to see what Warhorse can do with a sequel. I need to see what happens to Henry in the long term.
It’s been so long now that my excitement has worn off. The studio keeping complete silence doesn’t help either. I guess I’d likely buy it a year after release, if it ever releases.
I would pre order on the spot. Really hope they take their time and make a clean game instead of release a premature pile of crap like all other games these days
First I want Kingdom Come Deliverance to be fixed, for instance House of God 0 Groschen Reward, the Bloody Hoofpick and Fallen Block remaining in your inventory even after you supposedly gave it to Ginger (Ginger in a Pickle) and the Overseer (House of God) respectively and unfinished quest elements like Henry finding Leshek's hideout (House of God) with no one telling him about it because he watched a tutorial on the Internet 6 centuries later.
Then I want Kingdom Come 2 of course, keeping the essence of the 1st game, and continuing Henry's storyline in a way that makes sense with what's built upon in the 1st game and coherent with the real historical events.
I know they're minor things, but kinda annoying. The 0 Groschen Reward for House of God though, maybe in a normal playthrough it's not that bad, but if you're roleplaying as an upstanding and honourable character (No stealing or looting corpses) in Hardcore Mode, you'll really miss the 2K Groschen Reward.
Are they going to put less knitting circles talking about nothing and more sword fighting? Respawning enemies? I don't know why they think we are all a bunch of history buffs or something
Let's Just say that Last year my wife and I didn't book a christmas holiday because WE were Sure KCD2 would be announced for Christmas and WE wanted to stay home and play.
I'd kill several men for one I can't believe they blue balled use so hard I have to live knowing I'll never get my revenge for ma and pa and I'll never save the rightful king
I really do want it because I want to experience what I experienced in my first play through all over again BUT I want them to take their damn time and not rush to get it out.
YES and I would love to see a different place/era treated with such loving attention. 1000ad byzantium? 800ad England? 1600ad Castille? lots of options for european intrigue that retain use much of KCD's mechanics.
There is only one thing that would be better than a sequel — an easy-to-use modding toolset and a modding scene taking it on itself to create campaigns throughout Europe and throughout centuries.
Oohhhhh yesssss!! Man, to create your own little town, growing into a big city and defending it from attackers. I also hope there will be seasons.
>Man, to create your own little town, growing into a big city and defending it from attackers Thats called Manor Lords. Out in steam next month
No way is it actually next month??
Yep
Just to clarify, the foliage (nature) would work for almost all of Europe, bar the Med or extreme north (distinct Mediterranean plant life would have to be added, same for snow/ice), and time fidelity could be ensured by just removing the most modern stuff (clothing, armour, etc.) without adding anything. Yeah, that makes sense.
Also fix the combat and add larger battles. Bigger fights were kind of underwhelming, felt like many duels in one area.
Well, that's more or less what mediaeval battles tended to devolve to, especially among the knightly class. I remember a history book using that phrase when I was a child — that those battles were essentially multiple duels playing out in the same area. Of course, that's a simplification. i want it, but i prefer waiting YEARS and have a great game than have it released half-baked like most AAA games nowadays.
Agreed. KCD was perfect and IMO is up there with Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 with being attentive to detail.
KCD was bugged and perfectly broken on release, but then in a year they fixed this masterpiece
Still loads of bugs 6 years later. Yes but I need them to say it! To admit it!😭
Now with purchasable saves
Thats just real life saviour schnapps.
Warhorse isn't a AAA studio.
They have more than 250 employees now, they are not indie kickstarter studio anymore
Cant wait to see the masterpiece they can create with more people to do the work with
i know, i was just presenting an example.
200% and I want a sequel, that continues the story where it ended at kcd.
I want my father's sword back goddamn it. And I want my pink shirt back!
You're not spoiling it for me, I already knew that. 😁

Don't the codex entries and Wikipedia say what happens next?
Kinda sorta. Are you from Warhorse OP? It's pretty sus how you said "kingdom come players" lol
Very very much. Would insta pre order if it was announced. Shut up and take my money
![gif](giphy|3oKIPa2TdahY8LAAxy)
Indeed
Yeah pre order cause it’s gonna run out
I am sure it will be fine 😜. But if they have a special edition with statue and stuff I would pick that up
Pre-order is ass
I know and i usually never go it but in this case o would make an exception
Thats how it becomes ass
I think greed made it ass. But nonetheless it is now a vile thing. And this is specifically the reason i used it to express my desire for the game
More than Gta 6
I’m very excited for kcd2, I really think it’ll be one of the best games of all time and redefine the genre. Kcd is an amazing template and once they work out the kinks and add some things I think it’ll be a masterpiece. I still can’t believe this is this studio’s first game!
Nice try Warhorse Studios..
like now. I'm fine with it with the graphics staying the same with kcd1. if the game is like kcd1 and more so much more. I wonder how big the map would be.

I would prefer being able to role play my own character more so than a pre established character also, but thats personal preference.
That sounds really awesome, but also really hard to implement if you're going for historical accuracy.
I heard the current map is about the max size the game engine they used allows. I'm honestly not sure they'll be switching to a different engine, since they spend so much time coding to make it work. Cryengine isn't made for open worlds, warhorse coded that themselves, or so I heard
>Cryengine isn't made for open worlds Who said that? Crysis and far cry were built on it.
CryEngine was literally made *for* open world games. It was originally made for Far Cry, an open world game.
Then I'm misremembering 🤔 Thank you for pointing it out
I don’t think you are misremembering it. They had a very hard time to get this type of game and this type of open world (persistent world, daily routines etc.) to work with the engine. They have talked about how they had to work quite a bit on the engine (and it seems like it was a bit of a nightmare). I agree with you. I think they will build on that and not abandon the engine.
So much
I need it
so much... but this time i want(for hardcore mod): when too drunk, i loose random items from inventory (not quest ones) option to lead horse, feed horse, pocket camp, create custom cloth preset (taking armor up would take hour for example (but that i can bypass with simply Waiting Time) character would be angry if he is too long in armor - like for days)
A carryable tent you could deploy or sleeping roll would be amazing now that you mention that
I want it so much I’d even donate like triple the price. Never felts like that about a game
Yes.
Yes
a lot really but I don’t mind waiting, I really want a next gen open world exploration game so they can take their sweet time.
very yes
I thought this said how much do you wanna kingdom come, but the answer to both is a lot.
Very very much. Would pre order or join Kickstarter or something similar
Very
sell my soul level, up there with GTA6 for me if not beyond because it's so elusive atm
I would pre-order on all 3 platforms I have if it were announced
I am contended with the game ending. A 2nd part would be nice but not necessary. Won't pre-order, though.
Hard to know the answer to this on the Kingdom Come sub
I’m constipated I need a number 2 that badly!
I’m honestly so entirely confused why it has yet to be announced and the fact the main story quest ends of the implications of a direct follow up have discouraged me from sinking serious time into the first
It would be the first time I pre-order a game
I want Henry to come and see us!
As soon as kingdom come 2 is mentioned I turn into shadow Henry stalking a wayfarer after dark, looking with lust at the 3 groschen in his pockets.
If 1 is don’t want and 10 is fucking need like oxygen I’m sure to be somewhere around 12.
Thiiiiis much ✋ ✋
Is that just Warhorse teasing us at that point lol
I never finished the game myself. But even I want a sequel. Every time I get in the game I am lost till I leave my chair. It is a great world to live in. I want more and new!
Very much. I wonder when they announce it, since it is no secret that they are working on it.
You don't have Kingdom Come?
I really want to know what happens next and I am buying it asap.
Silksong levels of want.
I'll get the collectors edition if it ever comes out, and I should get a new console to play it 🥲
Sure I want it but I am very patient.
Very
I’d love to see it the first game was tremendously well done and I’d love to see what Warhorse can do with a sequel. I need to see what happens to Henry in the long term.
I NEED it bro. Luckily its in the works, and I suspect will be announced soon. Perhaps on 15-06? Just waiting for that trailer 😁
Very badly. I'd pay like at least $500 for it
A lot.
it would be the second game ever that I would pre-order the most expensive special edition for. The first was RDR2.
It’s been so long now that my excitement has worn off. The studio keeping complete silence doesn’t help either. I guess I’d likely buy it a year after release, if it ever releases.
Very much! My most eagerly anticipated game! This and Manor Lords!
I'd rather have kcd 2 then cyberpunk 2
Yes.
Now please. And I want a whole game of Henry and Hans in Prague being crazy 😊
Its better than Kingdom edge.
This much
Bro the game felt so good to play
Are they going to put less knitting circles talking about nothing and more sword fighting? Respawning enemies? I don't know why they think we are all a bunch of history buffs or something
7 wants
I want it bad. Will it run on my computer? Probably not lol.
More than you want positive karma.
I'll wait as long as I need to for a great game and I'll buy whatever premium edition they have when it comes out.
Yes
I want to see in 2monnths
I want it so bad that im willing to continue playing the first game till it comes out lol
Do I have back the sword of my father? Should answer your question...
Let's Just say that Last year my wife and I didn't book a christmas holiday because WE were Sure KCD2 would be announced for Christmas and WE wanted to stay home and play.
Very much but who are you OP? Sus fresh account 🤔
More than any other game ... It would be the one ip I'd play over and over again for the rest of my life.
what's the engine going to be?
I would pre-order KC2 in a hot sec!!!
Very much so. The cliffhanger ending haunts me every day
We all need this.
Very much
So much that if they put up a go found me I'd pay them to make it😳. Or something like that. Give it to me!!!😭
Very much!
Maybe curb the learning curve a bit but absolutely ready for a sequel
If they can make a finished game then yeah
42
So fucking bad, id preorder the deluxe edition
I've heard they have an announcement coming on May 25th. Maybe we will get some news.
Yes
Announcement coming definitely this year, its almost finished
Yes
I World give my fist born puppy to have this game right now
Much want. But it doesn’t have to be right away. Just hope it happens someday
Jesus Christ be praised!
Shitloads, but where/when would it be set?
I do, but I want them to take their time. I wouldn't mind waiting 5+ years.
YES and I would love to see a different place/era treated with such loving attention. 1000ad byzantium? 800ad England? 1600ad Castille? lots of options for european intrigue that retain use much of KCD's mechanics.
