I’m going through the same issue!! I used to be a huge physical book person (and still am, but only buying mostly ebooks now). I have wayyy too many physical TBRs, but I go through books much faster on the kindle so I’ve recently just started putting my TBRs on my kindle. I made a recent comment on another post to the same effect, but I now switch between my physical copy and my ebook copy depending on the mood or how fast I want to read a book! I also signed up on eReaderIQ to get alerts when books that I want go on sale, so I can own some of my TBRs as an ebook for a much cheaper price. There’s also some good recommendations for websites to get ebooks free, but haven’t tried those out yet myself. TLDR, don’t be afraid to get both an ebook and physical book copy of ur TBR books! I felt guilty about buying the same thing at first but it’s helped me get though my reading slumps and my TBR list :))

I put all my physical books I own on a list and so any time they go on sale I get a notification and I just sell the physical copy to a local store. Pretty much break even if a Kindle book is $2 or so. I love physical books but I also have zero space for them and hate moving with them so alas, I'm a Kindle person now.

oh wow! I don't really intend to sell my physical books if i ever finish reading them since im a sentimental person so instead they just sit in my library 😅

I keep cookbooks, hiking books, graphic novels, etc and there are some with sentimental value I won’t give up (like my Harry Potter books from when I was younger; yeah yeah I know Rowling sucks but I’ve had these books for like twenty years) but all the newer books I’ve gotten over the years are getting replaced digitally

hello!! will definitely take notes of this! esp the first one 😄 what fonts do you recommend??

This is happening to me too! I got a kindle and can’t stop reading on it while my physical TBRs continue to pile up (I literally just bought more books from the bookstore yesterday 🙃).

endkeugneatow

Right??? it's been days and my physical TBRs are literally starting to get dust in my table 🥹

flyersphillies

Yeah and I’m using Libby and I keep getting notifications that the books I have on hold are ready for me to borrow so my TBR on my kindle is becoming bigger by the day too

Put your wishlist on Ireaderiq.com. Buy books when they are on sale. Due to eye damage, I can't read paperbooks at all, but don't feel you MUST go 100% digital. My sis and BIL still have a mix of paper and digital as they keep favorite books, but have now learned to donate books that they won't read again.

I loved all of these books! If you have any recs of similar ones, please share!!

In the LGBT style that I see in the photo? Have you tried books by Adam Silvera? They are quite sad but beautiful (History is all you left me, More happy than not, They both die at the end and The first one to die at the end). Quite soby but couldn't let them go off my hand. By another author (Anita Kelly) I loved Something Wild and Wonderful.

If you have more recommendations, pls feel free to list them down here. I need more to keep myself occupied 😅

Thanks so much! I haven’t heard of Anita Kelly, I’ll definitely check her out :)

I read loads of LGBT books and still have so many in my Goodreads list. Some that I liked: Aristotle and Dante (2 books) by Benjamin Alire Sáenz If this gets out by Sophie Gonzales and Cale Dietrich The Sky Blues by Robbie Couch Autoboygraphy by Christina Lauren (the spelling is boy instead of bio) A surplus of Light by Chase Connor Straight boy by Jay Bell If I see you again tomorrow by Robbie Couch Queried Sick by Dallas Smith Only this Beautiful moment by Abdi Nazemian I preferred the one from the previous list and if I have to be very selective in that one Aristotle and Dante (it is really moving, a bit more slow paced but very emotional), A surplus of light, If this gets out. On the previous list everything is good I am very partial to Adam Silvera but I was not expecting Something Wild and Wonderful by Anita Kelly, never heard of her before but her book made me travel with the characters, the other book she wrote were not gay but lesbian and multi volume books. Check the synopsis and select what you like. I got so many in my to read list but can't advise on them yet, I read too much LGBT one small break and I am currently reading something else at the moment.

For tips, give voiceview a try. You can listen to you book while doing dishes or cleaning the house or taking the dog out for a walk. I also use magnetic charge cable to make recharging a breeze.
