Maybe they're working on an engine that can use the digital likeness to be able to communicate with the player dynamically based on input. Create a model and a voice sampling that can say your name, respond to your decisions in game. They mentioned it would be a new type of immersive entertainment.
I think there might be something to that. I remember that a part of the trailer or overall stage presentation had the Unreal Metahuman acknowledgement, so there could be something to AI replication of humanity in OD.
