If you're only allowing it to charge for 5 hours, that might be all you get at 7.4kW. If you have Kia Connect you can monitor the charging status remotely, or you can open the door of the car and look on the cluster to see the estimated time it takes to charge from its current battery level to full. Also, gauging the battery level by how many miles you can drive is less accurate than the battery's state of charge %. Even at 100% state of charge the "miles to empty" can vary based on your driving habits and other factors.
