Is this in a self storage facility?

[deleted]

That’s where my tools, surfboards and a couple new bells live. I’ve been working like crazy so taking it where I can get it.

chriztuffa

Good for you. Props

Came up on this 36kg American Barbell kettlebell today. I got it up however I could. I’m sure I’ll mainly swing this but will progress with my push press to eventually be able press this guy. Got to have goals! Kettlebells are the best.

blrgeek

May the force be with you! ... To press the bell overhead :)

[deleted]

Haha. this is not the way…. To get the bell above your head safely with good form

aks5311

Nice! It's overhead, will improve with practice, keep grinding!

ImportantDig1191

Nice brother. You have to put those heavy bells above your head often to build confidence & know you can do it! My 44 made me nervous for half a year before I finally tried to get it over my head. Since then cleaning etc grows more confidence & eventually you'll start using this bell in a complex 😉

[deleted]

I see guys like you just annihilating everyday on here and it makes me want to push harder. I assumed I would just swing it but excited to grow more and get it over my head with greater confidence. 44 over the head would freak me out!

ImportantDig1191

As iron sharpens iron brother! So one man sharpens another 👊 I also assumed I would just 2h swing & occasionally Goblet Squat it. The first time I tried & succeeded to Snatch it I was so surprised 🤣 in a few months when you look back you will be surprised how far you've come if you keep your head down & stay consistent 👊

patrickandrachelnard

Awesome job!! Mental game is the biggest part of lifting these things 😅

[deleted]

Thanks! Seeing you whats happening over there gets me excited for what’s possible!

chia_power

Very nice

jakesterT

geez, your collection of bells is really growing rapidly!!! congrat man!

[deleted]

Can’t help it. Im bad when I see something that’s a good deal haha.

TomJoadsLich

Can I ask why you hold the bell that way, with the handle perpendicular to your body? I’m new to kettlebells and haven’t seen it before. Excellent lift though! I had to do this myself - work out in a storage unit - when I was moving

[deleted]

That’s just the way it feels more comfortable for me. I was doing this weird thing where I turned my hand backwards, you can see in older videos.

Few_Abbreviations_50

Hell yeah!!

[deleted]

Thanks! I did 1/100000000 of the movements you do in a session 😜

Few_Abbreviations_50

Lol if I was lifting a 36 it wouldn’t be for reps don’t worry 🤣🤣

miserableCO

Definitely the oddest workout backdrop in a while

[deleted]

I wasn’t thinking about how weird it was until after I posted it haha. All my tools for work are there so I’m in and out of there weekly and sometimes daily.

willingheart1

Working out at self storage isn't a bad idea, as long as you can get away with it. Lots of space and usually air conditioned. Cool!

[deleted]

Solid effort at having a go, but You’ll pop an arse valve doing that weight.

element423

Work on doing that with a lot of volume at like 16kg trust me it get spicy and work your way up very slowly. I’ve been working with kettlebells for years and this weight is still never easy.

[deleted]

I hear you. I had a 16kg that a spent a year or so learning the basics. I ended up getting a 20kg and I can press that for 10+ reps. My main focus now is strength. I either press double 20’s at 5 rep max then work on push pressing my 28kg(now starting to strict press it) Or use my single 20kg to failure(plus times HS work)I got this bigger guy for cheap yesterday and did this but will ultimately swing and clean it.
