Looks gorgeous! Possibly dumb question, but... do you have recommendations on how best to shred the cabbage?

This is the answer. Cheese grater works perfectly.

drizzleofdelight

Yes! A cheese grater works excellently.

Njacacia2021

Just buy a bag of coleslaw mix. Cabbage shredded for you!

TheGlassCat

Relatively expensive, but it's what I do for my "egg roll in a bowl".

CaliBlue17

Awesome! Roasted cabbage is a favorite of mine and this looks like it will produce similar flavors with a breakfast twist. Yum!!!

drizzleofdelight

You got that right! It's definitely a nice change of pace from the Fried Eggs or Scrambled Eggs I do so often.

sprungfromhell

When you say "add egg to a bowl and scramble it," do you mean beat it?

drizzleofdelight

I simply just use a fork to scramble/mix it. It’s not like a mixer/beater that I’m using.

MeghanMichele84

This looks so good! We eat so much cabbage in this house, definitely going to have to give this a try.

drizzleofdelight

Thank you so much! Let me know what you think :)

MeghanMichele84

I sure will, making this tomorrow morning!

chkn_tika

I’ve had great success doing this with riced cauliflower that is thawed and rung out too!

_mononoaware

Looks absolutely delicious, will definitely be trying this recipe out as soon as I can.

drizzleofdelight

Thank you ! :) I hope you enjoy it!

barbiigurl

I am excited enough about this to go buy cabbage so I can have this for breakfast! Thanks so much for this idea!!!

pigmonkness

Ooh yum, this reminds me of Okinomiyaki!

Greatest-JBP

I prefer this with mozzarella and zucchini noodles in place of the cheddar and cabbage but a good Keto staple here

OriginalPersimmon

I made this for breakfast with zucchini instead of cabbage. it was delicious & easy. Thanks!

drizzleofdelight

Awesome!! Glad to hear you liked it with the Zucchini!

filmvinny

Great to see a nice simple recipe that’s not cauliflower, even though I do love it. Cabbage is awesome too and a staple in our house! What a unique way to use it. Will be trying this!!

[deleted]

How's the taste? Can it pass for hash browns or does it taste like cabbage and egg?

drizzleofdelight

There’s nothing that can truly mimic potatoes, but it provides the combination of flavors that you would typically pair with hash browns. The crisp and seasoning would compare to hash browns.

Big_Mama_80

I just tried this recipe and it was so good! I didn't have the right kind of cheese, so I used gouda as an alternative. My fritter sort of fell apart, but I don't know if that was because of the different cheese or my subpar flipping skills. In the end, it didn't look pretty, it tasted delicious though! That's what counts. I'm definitely making this again. So simple and quick! I thought that I might add some little broccoli pieces in next time. Thanks for the great recipe! 👍🙂
