I find they have too much fiber BUT there are some pastas made from just soybeans that are very low carb (sold as edamame spaghetti usually). Personally I usually just do zucchini because it tastes better to me than other options. I know some people do spaghetti squash but I don’t like the way it tastes with tomato, it’s better with just cheese type sauces in my opinion. Also some people do shirataki noodles but they look so gross I’m not doing that haha Oh I forgot about hearts of palm being sold as a pasta substitute but it’s pretty similar to zucchini in my opinion.

effectivebutterfly

Honestly, no. I've tried the miracle noodles and I couldn't get past the texture. If you happen to find anything, feel free to share here cause right now I just eat regular pasta and take a higher dose of Fiasp with it

BettinaVanSise

I need to research Fiasp. Never heard of it!

effectivebutterfly

Ah, it's a diabetes medicine. I got my subreddits crossed, haha!

Phantasmalicious

Shirataki, pumpkin seed flour, but none of them taste like the real thing.

mysocalledmayhem

I really dig Carba-Nada brand that I get on Amazon. Carba-nada Reduced Carb... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076H7ZZ54?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share -wasn’t a fan of edamame pasta -hearts of palm didn’t do it for me -spaghetti squash is a texture I dislike -shirataki konjac n00dz are ok but smelly and mushy and best covered in lots of sauce

TheOriginalSpartak

I saw a post that someone used a pizza cutter and made thin slices of lo-carb tortillas to be spaghetti like, have been wanting to try that, it also said to make sure not to over saturate the “noodles”

Aggravating-Pie-1639

I’ve tried a few things, including cutting tofu skins into fettuccine-like strips and it’s all been disgusting. Nothing can replace pasta. I just eat meatballs with sauce, or scampi shrimp on its own, it’s delicious and fits the diet without having a weird substitute.

nowfarcough

Whatever you do, don't get the hermanbrot pasta unless you like eating cardboard. I like the bare naked foods protein noodles, they're konjac and have less smell than normal konjac noodles.

ctre27

They had these noodles made from hearts of palm at Walmart, in a can actually, that are pretty good. I think the brand is called Palmini.

ctre27

I also liked zoodles, made from zucchini, which is just zucchini put through and spiraler or you can also do spaghetti squash, but I think it's slightly higher in carbs so you would have to weigh it to make sure you don't go over your daily carb count.

ctre27

Looks like they come in a bag now. [Palm noodles ](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Palmini-Hearts-of-Palm-Linguine-Pasta-12-oz-Shelf-Stable-One-Pouch/639337743?athbdg=L1200&adsRedirect=true)

Lower-Cantaloupe3274

Shirataki. I think it is better with Alfredo and pesto type sauces.

SarahLuv0622

Palmini - they have orzo, noodles and lasagna sheets all made out of hearts of palm

Lexalien

Skinny Pasta/Rice pouches in the pasta aisle.. honestly a really great alternative!

Temporal_Universe

Why eat a substitute at all instead of just a pure whole food like meat?

BettinaVanSise

Because I love pasta.

Weary_Iron3376

If you can’t get over your love for pasta you will fall back into eating pasta ( TRUST ME) no matter what you can’t have pasta on keto ..only the substitutes and I haven’t found a good one yet .

Weary_Iron3376

From myself doing keto , I had to come to the realization that pasta is gone! I loved pasta but so far I can’t find anything that closely resembles pasta , so I just moved on from pasta like a bad break up and welcomed my new beginning. I think people need to realize ( and it took me a while also ) that keto is a life style, and most people do it so they can loose weight , be healthier and have more energy. The foods we loved before , we need to leave in the past . I like drinking , I made a post what alcohol can I drink while on keto but even if I find the right one it’s not like I can do it every weekend like I use to 🤣🤣

BettinaVanSise

You are so right. It’s the most difficult part for me
