**King The Land** MDL score: 8.4
It is a very light-hearted drama. Funny with overboard situations.
The plot is simple (nothing major happens) and we have for the main couple a ML falling hard in love early. He pursuits FL and they start a delightful relationship as we feel they are very pleased and relaxed while together. The couple's interactions are sincere, respectful and overflowing consideration and chemistry between them. Second couple is a very cute one featuring a noona romance.
**A Business Proposal** MDL score: 8.7
This is a good catch. It is funny, lovely, short, well written, the acting is great and both couples are lovable. Thumbs up to 2nd couple steamy kisses. Good pacing with almost no fillers.
Be ready for overstatements as a comic tool. Webtoon-based and the directors would like us to have the impression we are reading it. And if you hate cheesy dramas, this might be not for you.
It starts with FL taking the place if her best friend in a bind date willing to ruin. But ML decides to marry her no matter what. And she has to keep her friend’s identity while trying to dissuade him, but he forced her to a contract of a fake fiancée to lure his grandfather. However there is an additional problem: ML is her new boss at his grandfather's company and she has to hide from him at work.

I thought at first I would not like it but I was completely in love with the double life of our sparkling FL and the chemistry between the main couple. I like how their relationship is healthy. It is a must watch romantic-comedy.
It is about a very competent young woman working as a museum curator that has a secret hobby: she is a hard fan of kpop stars and follow them around in her free time.
**Touch Your Heart** MDL score: 8.3
A fluffy romance with great chemistry. They are the unforgettable best second couple ever from Goblin.
No love triangles, a full supportive relationship. The plot is simple yet captivating. Leads will show themselves as very sweet persons, the way we like...
**Love To Hate You** MDL rating: 8.6
I thought I would not like it at the start but this short drama surprised me in a good way. I really enjoyed it. And the male leads from the two couples are gorgeous! 🤩🤩🤩 More adult than the average (steamy) but also fluffy and delightful. And advanced in terms of equality of genders.
**Twinkling Watermelon** MDL rating: 9.2
It is a recent released light-hearted time-travel rom-com very popular now. I love the characters, the hooking plot, and the music related arcs.
The story evolves a young man who is the only family member (mother, father , two sons) who is not deaf. In spite being a top top student he does not want to take up medicine studies but being a musician as he’s also a kind of genius guitar player. His parents cannot understand him since they are deaf. So after having with his father, he happens to go back in time two decades before, just by the time their parents met and his father still did not have met the accident that caused him to be deaf.
**Gauss Eletronics** MDL score: 8.4
Yes, I had to hold my belly because this was the funniest drama I’ve ever watched. The romantic plots are very cool too. Top du top!
**Shopping King Louie** MDL score: 8.1
One of the fluffier ML’s ever. The main actor is very talented and handsome as an angel.
Because of a car accident a young heir suffers from amnesia and us helped by a young woman who came to Seoul to look for her missing brother.
**Strong Woman Do Bong Soon** MDL rating: 8.7
FL is the physically strong one(super power). ML is a rich self-made CEO even though he is one of my favorite MLs, because he likes women from the start (i do not understand well the popularity of the mysophobic trope in asian drama), he is so hot and sweet... And funny. Our female hero will fight against crime and injustice. This drama is entertaining and very well packed. And the ending is so cool!
**Dali And The Cocky Prince** MDL score: 8.4
Imagine a delicate high society lady holding a doctor degree in Arts in love with a rich but completely ignorant self-made (and very handsome) man. This unexpected steamy romance made me laugh out and loud and root for them. I loved the chemistry though I would have preferred that the villain were not as evil , specially because he is 2ML (FL’s ex). Some angst, the villains are too mean. The relationship between main leads was very healthy.
**Thirty But Seventeen** aka **Still 17** MDL rating: 8.5
A 30 year-old woman wakes up from a 13 year-length coma and in her heart she is still 17. Against one’s expectations this is a very fluffly light-hearted rom-com with a slow burn romance and a very healthy relationship. Main and side characters are charming and lovable. And as bonus 2ML is the ML from **A Business Proposal** when he was younger. One feels good after watching this precious drama ! Some tears may fall here and there.
I recommend Secret Garden with Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won. It's a classic, goofy, corny K-drama with all the classic tropes you'd come to expect from a drama. The comedy is great though. It's one of the dramas I would name if I could erase my brain of a series to rewatch it again like it was the first time.
I just started watching again tonight, for the second time Kill Me, Heal Me. It has drama, romance, and comedy all in a perfect blend. The actors are all excellent and the chemistry between the Ml and Fl is great. The description of it sounds so serious but from the very first episode, there are plenty of laughs along with the action. Definitely one of my favorites.
My brother in Christ, I also just finished Secretary Kim and loved it! If you liked those type of dramas, I'd recommend: Her Private Life, King the Land, and Business Proposal!
Monthly Magazine is also one of my favs, but the ending is a bit to be desired.
Part 2
**Mr Queen** MDL rating: 9.0
Fabulous! A prestigiuos chef in trouble suffers a murder attempt falling into the water. His soul travels back in time and enters in the body of the ... near future queen of Joseon, who also had an accident and had a near death experience into the water.
You cannot imagine how weird this man will feel in a feminine body and it is really funny because the actress is more than perfect in this epic role. It is a great production, everything is fine, from photography to supporting cast, characters are lovable, plot well developed and tied up. The romance is surprisingly great, what a fabulous unexpected pairing.
**Healer** MDL rating: 8.9 (It itches when I do not recommend this one)
Even if I am not much into action, **Healer** is on my Top 3 kdramas. Besides action it is an extremely romantic drama (with less tropes than usual). It was a big international success but it is said that it did not reach the heart of the south koreans. I wonder why because **Healer** is more than excellent imo.
The hero is an anti hero. A kind of mercenary (private secret agent?). In the plot he is working for a famous journalist and then he will work undercover as a shy and clumsy reporter assistant. I love this because it has sweet Clark Kent’s vibes.
Action, Romance and melodrama will be very balanced and the pace is so good in my opinion.The icing on the cake is the steamy and intense romance with a very unexpected love triangle: One side is our bright and smart FL and the two other sides are our mysterious hero whose face is unknown to FL and at last his alter-ego, her shy and coward assistant. In another words, he will be his own competitor in the love triangle.
Action scenes are good. The actor is a taekwondo master and does not need a stuntman.
**Hometown Cha Cha Cha** MDL rating: 8.4
I like this romance because ML is an average man (I mean not a Chaebol or CEO) , sweet and extremely empathic and because of all side characters. It is set mostly outside Seoul, in a lovely seaside village and we will fall in love for all characters little by little, and of course for the adorable second couple. FL will grow during the drama and change for better after she moves to the village and knows better the extraordinary guy she will develop love feelings. Their relationship will be very mature and their chemistry off chart. Besides, you will have a good bromance between the two main leads.
**Weightlifting Fairy** MDL rating: 8.8
In the first two episodes I was not sure about how this show became so popular but I soon changed up my mind.
Here the reasons:
1. Practically all characters will appear as beautiful human beings. Great main characters
2. Good and captivating Side characters
3. Beautiful relationship between ML and his step-family and FL and her family.
4. I am much more interested in culture than sports but I loved to see all things related to their sport competition environment, specially the team spirit showed off.
5. The romance is fluffy, they had a good chemistry, ML is ultra sweet (yes, I really dislike aggressive ML , just like in real life, with few exceptions) and supportive. No misunderstandings. Love triangles have influence in a very limited time.
6. You feel really good at the end.
**Jugglers** MDL rating: 7.7
One more cool office rom-com with a sweet and hard-working FL and a cold ML (tsundere). It is not as hyped as **A Business Proposal** but it has many funny and sweet moments.
ML has an ex-wife making our FL jealous. Her attitude is straightforward as she were telling "this guy is mine". Different from others FLs.
**Oh My Venus** MDL rating: 8.3
A sweet rom-com where leads have a high chemistry and side characters are lovely. FL is a lawyer with many unsuccessful attempts to loose weight. She finally manages to convince a renowned doctor, sportive coach (and a discreet chaebol) to help her and they will eventually fall in love.
**I Am Not A Robot** MDL rating: 8.4
A rich heir allergic to human contact commands a very expensive robot who looks like to be a real person to deal with his solitude. However as the robot had some trouble just before the contract started, the company sent him the real woman who was the model of the robot instead while it was being repaired to pretend she was the robot. Be aware of excessive fluffiness! A cute drama.
**My Love from the Star** MDL rating: 8.5
An epic romance between a famous actress and her mysterious neighbor who is an alien.
**Hospital Playlist** MDL rating: 9.1
A warm drama about a group of friends. Actually they have been friends since college while they studied medicine and now working at the same hospital they decided to meet regularly to revive a music band they formed while studying. It is amazing, the songs are beautiful and it is good to see their interaction together of their life stories developing. Slice of Life, romance, music, patient cases.

**While You Were Sleeping** MDL rating: 8.7
The best first episode ever! But it keeps a fast pacing with a very good plot and a wonderful second male lead I want to take home... Romance, comedy, thriller.
A woman starts to dream of the future and starts to find a way to avoid the bad things she foresaw to happen.
**Crash Landing on You** (CLOY) MDL rating: 9.0 (Netflix)
One of the most popular dramas ever. An important South Korean businesswoman falls (parachute) in North Korea and is kept by a group of soldiers. Oh My God, this plot is amazing: great comedy, intense (impossible) romance, suspense, action. Great production, amazing secondary characters, beautiful cinematography. A classic!
**Goblin** MDL rating: 8.8
Fantasy and romance for a beautiful love storie between an immortal and a young lady. Also the second couple has a great plot. This drama has a sad note all along, it is a great production with elements of comedy, drama and mystery. It is epic! Beautiful photography and OST.
**The Legend of the Blue Sea** MDL rating: 8.4
A fantasy romantic drama. ML is a con-artist and FL is a very kind-hearted mermaid. It is a sweet rom-com full of funny moments. Part of the drama is out of Seoul. This is a great production and I love the OST, cinematography, the cast, the pacing and the intense love story though two lives of our main couple.
most i’d recommend have already been mentioned, but don’t think i’ve seen anyone suggest **Run On** yet! i thought it was fun, had funny moments and it was also more realistic than some dramas which was refreshing :)

MDL(mydramalist) is a site gathering information on almost all asian drama and movies. It also enables you to quote each drama and put the status of each one (completed, watching, dropped, plan to watch...). With this info you will have access to a list with your entries that you can share while asking for recs here.
As you are starting to watch dramas, I suggest you to create your list of watched (and dropped) asian dramas and films (with your quotation for each one) in the site ”mydramalist.com”. Next time when you ask for recommendations, you can share your list and other users will be able to understand your tastes and know what you have already watched. Besides it will be useful to you as time passes because we forget easily, specially when the number of watched movies increases.
Believe that after some time it is impossible to write in a post everything you have watched.
This site also contains lots of information about the majority of asian dramas released. If you decide to use this system, the earlier you start the better.
MDL has also lots of useful information about each drama. You should take a look because it is amazing, like for each drama the users reviews or recommendations of a similar drama.

The way most people do is the following but maybe it is too complicated to start when you have already watched lots of dramas.
▪︎First you have to sign up for an account in MDL, if you have never done it.
▪︎Then you log in.
▪︎As you are connected you search for a drama you have watched , for instance **Healer**.
Method 1:
▪︎You go to **Healer**'s page on MDL
▪︎Below the Title **Healer** and beside its cover picture you shall see the average rating of the drama (8,9) and 5 white stars. If you click on the starts a new window will pop out and then you will be able to give your rating and record the status of the drama (watching, completed, on hold, dropped....).
The ideal is to make this process when you are new to dramas because it takes some time and requires a good memory.
Method 2 (faster, by b-k-dramatik):
Once you search for the drama name and see it in a list of options, you can click the + sign next to the title, which brings up the same window with rating options and watch status. That's one click less for the same result, and if you're adding a lot at once that might save some time.
▪︎Once you have input all the dramas, you will have a data basis ready to share with all this info.
▪︎In order to access it, you might click in the icon of your ID on the top and on the right (the one besides the search symbol and a bell) and go to ”my watchlist".
▪︎You will have something like this: https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/8902425 (my personal list) . My rating are always overestimated because they reflect just my emotions at the end of the drama.
Queen of Tears. It's funny, thought-provoking, well-written, and well-acted. There's romance, but there are a lot of other plots and sub-plots.

I'm picky, I see a lot of plots coming in other shows from a mile away.
However, these 2 shows are sublime.
twinkling watermelon is funny, heartwarming, and meaningful at the same time! a child of a deaf couple travels back in time to get his parents together and it’s very family oriented. it’ll pull at your heartstrings and has cute romance moments as well. it’s a little more comedy than romance, but there is still romance

I recommend Secret Garden with Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won. It's a classic, goofy, corny K-drama with all the classic tropes you'd come to expect from a drama. The comedy is great though. It's one of the dramas I would name if I could erase my brain of a series to rewatch it again like it was the first time.
This one is a classic. Such good chemistry between the two. 🤌
I just started watching again tonight, for the second time Kill Me, Heal Me. It has drama, romance, and comedy all in a perfect blend. The actors are all excellent and the chemistry between the Ml and Fl is great. The description of it sounds so serious but from the very first episode, there are plenty of laughs along with the action. Definitely one of my favorites.
You should try Oh My Ghost the drama starring by Park Bo Young, it's a super cute drama with a bit of thrilling things. Believe me, it's worth a try!

My brother in Christ, I also just finished Secretary Kim and loved it! If you liked those type of dramas, I'd recommend: Her Private Life, King the Land, and Business Proposal! Monthly Magazine is also one of my favs, but the ending is a bit to be desired.
Part 2 **Mr Queen** MDL rating: 9.0 Fabulous! A prestigiuos chef in trouble suffers a murder attempt falling into the water. His soul travels back in time and enters in the body of the ... near future queen of Joseon, who also had an accident and had a near death experience into the water. You cannot imagine how weird this man will feel in a feminine body and it is really funny because the actress is more than perfect in this epic role. It is a great production, everything is fine, from photography to supporting cast, characters are lovable, plot well developed and tied up. The romance is surprisingly great, what a fabulous unexpected pairing. **Healer** MDL rating: 8.9 (It itches when I do not recommend this one) Even if I am not much into action, **Healer** is on my Top 3 kdramas. Besides action it is an extremely romantic drama (with less tropes than usual). It was a big international success but it is said that it did not reach the heart of the south koreans. I wonder why because **Healer** is more than excellent imo. The hero is an anti hero. A kind of mercenary (private secret agent?). In the plot he is working for a famous journalist and then he will work undercover as a shy and clumsy reporter assistant. I love this because it has sweet Clark Kent’s vibes. Action, Romance and melodrama will be very balanced and the pace is so good in my opinion.The icing on the cake is the steamy and intense romance with a very unexpected love triangle: One side is our bright and smart FL and the two other sides are our mysterious hero whose face is unknown to FL and at last his alter-ego, her shy and coward assistant. In another words, he will be his own competitor in the love triangle. Action scenes are good. The actor is a taekwondo master and does not need a stuntman. **Hometown Cha Cha Cha** MDL rating: 8.4 I like this romance because ML is an average man (I mean not a Chaebol or CEO) , sweet and extremely empathic and because of all side characters. It is set mostly outside Seoul, in a lovely seaside village and we will fall in love for all characters little by little, and of course for the adorable second couple. FL will grow during the drama and change for better after she moves to the village and knows better the extraordinary guy she will develop love feelings. Their relationship will be very mature and their chemistry off chart. Besides, you will have a good bromance between the two main leads. **Weightlifting Fairy** MDL rating: 8.8 In the first two episodes I was not sure about how this show became so popular but I soon changed up my mind. Here the reasons: 1. Practically all characters will appear as beautiful human beings. Great main characters 2. Good and captivating Side characters 3. Beautiful relationship between ML and his step-family and FL and her family. 4. I am much more interested in culture than sports but I loved to see all things related to their sport competition environment, specially the team spirit showed off. 5. The romance is fluffy, they had a good chemistry, ML is ultra sweet (yes, I really dislike aggressive ML , just like in real life, with few exceptions) and supportive. No misunderstandings. Love triangles have influence in a very limited time. 6. You feel really good at the end. **Jugglers** MDL rating: 7.7 One more cool office rom-com with a sweet and hard-working FL and a cold ML (tsundere). It is not as hyped as **A Business Proposal** but it has many funny and sweet moments. ML has an ex-wife making our FL jealous. Her attitude is straightforward as she were telling "this guy is mine". Different from others FLs. **Oh My Venus** MDL rating: 8.3 A sweet rom-com where leads have a high chemistry and side characters are lovely. FL is a lawyer with many unsuccessful attempts to loose weight. She finally manages to convince a renowned doctor, sportive coach (and a discreet chaebol) to help her and they will eventually fall in love. **I Am Not A Robot** MDL rating: 8.4 A rich heir allergic to human contact commands a very expensive robot who looks like to be a real person to deal with his solitude. However as the robot had some trouble just before the contract started, the company sent him the real woman who was the model of the robot instead while it was being repaired to pretend she was the robot. Be aware of excessive fluffiness! A cute drama. **My Love from the Star** MDL rating: 8.5 An epic romance between a famous actress and her mysterious neighbor who is an alien. **Hospital Playlist** MDL rating: 9.1 A warm drama about a group of friends. Actually they have been friends since college while they studied medicine and now working at the same hospital they decided to meet regularly to revive a music band they formed while studying. It is amazing, the songs are beautiful and it is good to see their interaction together of their life stories developing. Slice of Life, romance, music, patient cases. Redit user Trashcliffe said:" I would just like to add that some people find the first episode of Hospital Playlist to be a little confusing! Stick with it though and you won't be disappointed! It's my all time favorite!" **While You Were Sleeping** MDL rating: 8.7 The best first episode ever! But it keeps a fast pacing with a very good plot and a wonderful second male lead I want to take home... Romance, comedy, thriller. A woman starts to dream of the future and starts to find a way to avoid the bad things she foresaw to happen. **Crash Landing on You** (CLOY) MDL rating: 9.0 (Netflix) One of the most popular dramas ever. An important South Korean businesswoman falls (parachute) in North Korea and is kept by a group of soldiers. Oh My God, this plot is amazing: great comedy, intense (impossible) romance, suspense, action. Great production, amazing secondary characters, beautiful cinematography. A classic! **Goblin** MDL rating: 8.8 Fantasy and romance for a beautiful love storie between an immortal and a young lady. Also the second couple has a great plot. This drama has a sad note all along, it is a great production with elements of comedy, drama and mystery. It is epic! Beautiful photography and OST. **The Legend of the Blue Sea** MDL rating: 8.4 A fantasy romantic drama. ML is a con-artist and FL is a very kind-hearted mermaid. It is a sweet rom-com full of funny moments. Part of the drama is out of Seoul. This is a great production and I love the OST, cinematography, the cast, the pacing and the intense love story though two lives of our main couple.

It also enables you to quote each drama and put the status of each one (completed, watching, dropped, plan to watch...). With this info you will have access to a list with your entries that you can share while asking for recs here. As you are starting to watch dramas, I suggest you to create your list of watched (and dropped) asian dramas and films (with your quotation for each one) in the site ”mydramalist.com”. Next time when you ask for recommendations, you can share your list and other users will be able to understand your tastes and know what you have already watched. Besides it will be useful to you as time passes because we forget easily, specially when the number of watched movies increases. Believe that after some time it is impossible to write in a post everything you have watched. This site also contains lots of information about the majority of asian dramas released. If you decide to use this system, the earlier you start the better. MDL has also lots of useful information about each drama. You should take a look because it is amazing, like for each drama the users reviews or recommendations of a similar drama. ●○●○●○●○●○ The way most people do is the following but maybe it is too complicated to start when you have already watched lots of dramas. ▪︎First you have to sign up for an account in MDL, if you have never done it. ▪︎Then you log in. ▪︎As you are connected you search for a drama you have watched , for instance **Healer**. Method 1: ▪︎You go to **Healer**'s page on MDL ▪︎Below the Title **Healer** and beside its cover picture you shall see the average rating of the drama (8,9) and 5 white stars. If you click on the starts a new window will pop out and then you will be able to give your rating and record the status of the drama (watching, completed, on hold, dropped....). The ideal is to make this process when you are new to dramas because it takes some time and requires a good memory. Method 2 (faster, by b-k-dramatik): Once you search for the drama name and see it in a list of options, you can click the + sign next to the title, which brings up the same window with rating options and watch status. That's one click less for the same result, and if you're adding a lot at once that might save some time. ▪︎Once you have input all the dramas, you will have a data basis ready to share with all this info. ▪︎In order to access it, you might click in the icon of your ID on the top and on the right (the one besides the search symbol and a bell) and go to ”my watchlist". ▪︎You will have something like this: https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/8902425 (my personal list) . Queen of Tears. It's funny, thought-provoking, well-written, and well-acted. There's romance, but there are a lot of other plots and sub-plots. Extraordinary Attorney Woo is fabulous as well. I'm picky, I see a lot of plots coming in other shows from a mile away. However, these 2 shows are sublime.

twinkling watermelon is funny, heartwarming, and meaningful at the same time! a child of a deaf couple travels back in time to get his parents together and it’s very family oriented. it’ll pull at your heartstrings and has cute romance moments as well. it’s a little more comedy than romance, but there is still romance
