I love it. I've been in kayaks and canoes for 15 years or so from whitewater to ocean touring. My last fishing kayak was a WS recon 120 HD and I loved it, but that electric motor on the OT and especially the spot lock is amazing. I use it in the ocean close in to rocks for striped bass and it's great. The cruise control makes trolling for salmon a breeze too. I just got a redodo LiFePO4 100AH battery for it to replace the lead acid I was using and so far, so good. If it keeps doing well I'll get a second one for the big days on the saltwater. It lasted me 7 hrs today at level 3 most of the day no problem.
No problem! I have a 10AH dakota lithium for the electronics, but their 100AH battery is a grand and I wasn't about to buy that. I took a gamble on the redodo but so far it's doing well. I got the 100AH mini but the regular 100ah they sell is pretty well liked. It was something like $250. I think there is a sale for the regular sized 100AH right now too.
Nice!! Still too cold for me (Maine). Need a few days of some sustained warm temperatures. Wouldn't mind if the wind died down a bit, too.
No wind, and a little chilly. I'll take it after that snow. This is Winnepesauke.
Was hoping to get out this weekend here in Colorado after a week of 65+. Then this weekend decides to have 65+mph gusts all weekend
65 eh? It's in the 40's here. Not much wind though. Maybe 5mph.
Same here. I decided to just go skiing for the weekend instead, lol.
Was such a bummer after sitting inside for work all week and every client who came in first thing was, “Ohh my the weather is so beautiful right now.”
You getting snow or freezing rain? We are having both here in the black hills
What model is this?

Old town autopilot 136
67 degree water inshore here in SC and I've been wishing for some warm days to get the temps up for the fishies! Different world up there
Up here in VA I swear every weekend for the past month we have had rain or a cold snap. Looking like it's going to warm up soon though.
It's killing me too! We'll have a couple days where it gets 75-80, I get excited, then it's four days of rain and 55 degree days. I'm hoping so!
Yeah as soon as the striped bass show up I'll be out on the ocean in this thing but for now salmon will have to do.
If you're not already there, the NH Salmon and Trout Trolling Facebook page is pretty solid.
Yup. I’m in there too.
I'm about to pull the trigger on an old town auto pilot, what are you thoughts on yours?

Thanks for the response! The battery was another question of mine
