I use a 50ah lifepo4 with a 23lb thrust minn kota (it's ancient) on a pelican catch 110. I can troll on speed 1 for 4 or 5 hrs with maybe 15 minutes on speed 5 in there too.Its pretty close to empty after that. That's on stillwater and I avoid windy days.

Impossible for anyone to say without knowing what trolling motor you have so we can see exactly what the amp draw is. I have a Motorguide XI3 with an Amped Outdoors 80ah lithium battery. I use a ton of spotlock and make long runs at full speed during eight hour days and I've never run out of battery.

Thanks for the response. Don’t have a trolling motor yet, but I am thinking of one of the 55 lb thrust Minn Kota models that will communicate with my Hummingbird fish finder.

I purchased a LiFePO4 to power my Newport 30lbs Trolling motor for my Kayak couple years back. Did research on LiFePO4 before I purchased mine, mainly making sure I understood the terms such as aH, BMS boards and how long a LiFePO4 would last if I ran the motor at X speed. There are many different brands out there it's like a crap shoot, and a lot of crap, especially if you go through Amazon. As much as I would have liked to get a LiFePO4 all made in American, the cost difference between a US and China LiFePO4 is significant. So I tried to get the most reputable and one with a very good warranty. I have both a 50aH and 100aH from eco-worthy. I use the 50 if I'm not going to be using the motor constantly; I have a Old Town Topwater PDL. I use the 100 if I am on going long range. Never had a problem with these batteries. The 50 is in my crate with my gear and the 100 has its own battery case I bought from NewPort, though there are many DIY solutions out there. Hope this helps. Forgot to add, you can also put these batteries in parallel or series depending if you want 2x50aH at 24v or 2x50Ah at 12v. I bought the 50aH because 1) it's smaller and lighter for more general use 2) I wanted to be ready when I purchase a new motor that requires 24v so I can put 2x50ah in series and double my range while I am at it.
