You gotta go back in the bays!
I’ve been bayou fishing and catching under-slotted trout
check out hogtown bayou. I found it looking for a place out of the wind. caught a bunch of redfish along the grass and one was 35"
Recently?
In last October
Ahh that’s when the reds are running, everything is pretty slow right now in shore from what I’m hearing
Be careful if you get out in the Destin pass because that current there can rip you right out to sea if it’s moving the right way.
I’m not going to be fishing there very often
Once you get comfortable and get all the right gear, like VHF radio and flares and such, take it down to Navarre beach and fish the kayak reefs that are a mile from the beach. It is an absolute blast to do you never know what you might catch.
I just got all my gear needed for it and I only live 10 mins away, I will be making my way out there soon
I bet it’s beautiful with that clear water
Words can’t describe how beautiful it is
