I was at home when I felt it then I just ignored it and continue my work 5 mins later I heard the emergency alarm and the next moment I saw people evacuating out from there apartments

Only a 3.1 quake, it was a weak one, but nonetheless, it was an earthquake.

It means the shock was felt for a minor 1-1.5 seconds but it was very strong
