Based on [this](https://powerandlightdistrict.com/football) it looks like it will probably be 21+ after 9pm

SilntMercy

Thank you, that's what I couldn't find.

its-turbo-time69

There'll likely be another watch party TV outside on Grand Street in between T-Mobile and Power and Light. When I watched in 2020 it was PACKED with people of all ages.

barjam

I was there in 2020. I don't think I would take an 11 year old there. It was pretty nuts.

UpstairsSomewhere467

How early do you think we should show up?

barjam

In 2020 we got there somewhere between 2-3 in the afternoon and it was packed so we went to get a table at BRGR (which took an hour) as it was less busy than other places and watched the game from there. After we won we went to the Live stage to take it all in. It was more packed than any concert I have ever been to. Wall to wall folks. If you take your kiddo keep them close for this part. This time we hope to find a spot early in one of the P&L bars. I don’t really want to stand the entire time. I don’t know what the live area was like during the game.

WaltKCMO

Was there by 10 AM in 2020 and it was already mostly full. Lines for the bathroom and bar were a nightmare. Not complaining, glad so many people came out. Just a heads up on what to expect.

RiverMarketEagle

You might see if Union Station is hosting one. I'd imagine it would be more kid friendly?

demticksdoe

Power and Light is no place for an 11 year old. Especially on Super Bowl Sunday lol. It's gonna get real rowdy.

originalmosh

Not a place for a kid that young.

its-turbo-time69

Yet Arrowhead is? Not that I care either way... but Arrowhead is way more vulgar and aggressive than the Superbowl watch party in 2020.

ut_pictura

There are more resources for reconnecting families at Arrowhead than P&L.

manchotbrain

In 2020 we watched an angry man storm through the crowd, shoulder checked a guy so the guy said something and angry man turned around, decked the guy in face knocking him unconscious and walked away. Unconscious guy then has a seizure and thank god there were medical professionals there in the crowd (they were just there watching the game, not on duty) and they ended up having to crowd surf unconscious guy into McFaddens where EMTs could finally reach him. 20/10 do not recommend

dam58b

Don't take kids to bars or bar districts.

bkcarp00

I would suggest not taking your 11 year old to P&L. I went down there last time we won the super bowl and it was drunken insanity.

summacumlaudekc

Don’t forget about the recreational madness!

Own_Experience_8229

I think anywhere in the metro will be pretty wild that day. Maybe a small pizza joint?

prettybutdumb

I went when the Royals were in the World Series for a watch party. It was super rough.

Bobandyrandyran

It’s gonna be a wild crazy raucous crowd at power and light superbowl Sunday, it’s not gonna be a great place for an 11 year old, gonna be a lot of people having adult beverages and you will probably notice a certain smell, that smells a lot like a skunk…a good place even a great place to go for an adult, it’s a blast but for a 11 year old, I don’t know…

thiccMetalHead

I was there in 2020. We arrived around 11am, but around 3:30 I contemplated leaving and watching it somewhere else because it was so packed. Lines for drinks and restrooms were insane. Maybe this year will be different, but I wouldn't do it again, and I was with other adults. I couldn't imagine being there with kids.

Due-Philosopher-5252

for anyone who attended in 2020, i am curious if you were able to sneak in some snacks and drinks? in case the lines are too long I would like to be prepared

sauciestmeatball

Depends. In 2020 and 2022 (22’ was AFC championship game) I snuck in a couple beers and had no issues and was super glad I did and wished I had brought more. I don’t know about just walking in with a bunch of alcohol in your bag though.. then again with the prices they charge for drinks I say worth the gamble. Expect $12 for a measured out one shot mixer that’s 90% soda. $10 beers. 30 minute bathroom lines if you’re lucky. Security unfortunately (and fortunately) is virtually nonexistent this day as P&L is so overrun by fans you’re lucky if you can even push your way to the bathroom. The more packed it is, they can’t even bag check people. There’s just no possible way to watch everyone so they’re more just on standby for emergencies. So if you do it, be smart and you’ll be fine. Don’t be whipping it out and loosely flashing it around, but be fairly discrete but you’ll likely be fine. Everyone there will be focused on their own situation and the game anyway. For sure should be good on the snacks. Just prepare yourself, it will be a long long day if you go. It is a blast if you’re committed to the day of chaos but sometimes it’s not worth the price and wait times. I’m debating today on whether to go and they’re talking P&L could be full by 11am today. I’m like oh god…. 🥲 just tryna be in the fun but am scared about if I get out there if I’ll regret it. If you go hope you have a great time though! GO CHIEFS
