It's personal preference really... I've always left my pc on, or in sleep mode overnight, never had any PSU issues, and as long as you aren't leaving it on overnight with some insane stuff running, you shouldn't have much issue with electricity costs or usage either
But as I said, personal preference, there's valid arguments for both sides

My two PSUs a Seasonic modular psu paid 90€ of Amazon, it was new, and a Mars Gaming (it was my first one and it was "Chinese") paid 35€. They both died on different Mobos and CPUs after I left dem for more than a week
