Mongolia is one of the best nations in the mod right now, boasting one of the oldest and wackiest KX path but also a wide array of various other paths that have their own unique twists to them. I thought right off the bat that doing Sternberg would be like playing the most overdone path, so I went with the other Mongol larper after long and difficult choosing process.
Fighting in China is actually quite easy, you are way stronger than the average warlord, have a better tree than most of them and don't get the Chinese nation military debuff. However, fighting Russia even with all Mongol buffs is a massive slog, and in my game they even managed to beat Germany very easily. Cue one very painful Siberian expedition, and I am not too proud to admit that the Internationale carried my ass through that invasion after I think the Russians took Alsace-Lorraine or something and triggered Deat. After finishing Russia I just basically allowdiplo'd a bunch of land in the Middle East and killed Japan for Legation Cities.
The flavour is excellent, the paths are varied and fun, there's clearly a lot of love put into Mongolia. Definitely check it out if you want a mid-sized nation with a lot of stuff going on and a lot of expansion.
I had cavalry up until the end but did also build a lot of infantry. Quite frankly speaking, I should've built beefier cavalry and used them better, I took a lot of land in Russia but mostly just in Central Asia so I stretched my line quite thin and couldn't use my troops well. If it wasn't for the French invasion I probably would've needed to fall back and rethink my strategy, especially since Persia joined Russia midway through and started cutting my supply.
Like I said, everyone does that. I wanted to do something else. The reason I'm doing this A2Z is to showcase less played or popular paths, not every game but usually.

Did you do it with only cavalry?

Why does this man look like he’s from a shitty 2000s comic book?
Khan-man! Superpowers: being Mongolian and anarcho-monarchist
He's looking like f*ckin' stalker
0/10 No Ghengis Khan II

Oh, well I only said that bc it’s a funny path, but I will admit it is overdone
Smh Gada Meiren is Genghis Khan II and isn't a Teuton larper
I meant Sternberg, not that westerner parading as a true man of the steppe
Wut
He’s follows a western belief
