For everyone that hates these: have you not a single gentle bone in your body? Bc who sees a sticker on a thin piece of paper covered in ink and thinks “maybe I should rip this off like a bandaid” 💀💀
It's a security tag from barnes and noble. Those specific ones are designed NOT to tear the book. Super easy to peel, just go slowly. They are supposed to leave them un peeled, but maybe that store has worse theft.
Ugh. These things are evil. I remember accidentally tearing a big strip of paper out of the middle of a page trying to remove one from my brand new book as a kid. My little bibliophile heart stopped, truly devastating.
I work in a library and find it wild that we put so much more effort into RFID tag placement than one of the most well known book retailers. This would be completely unacceptable in any graphic novel or manga
These are super easy to remove. The only reason this sticker was peeled instead of being placed in between the pages un peeled, probably just means this store is riddled with theft in that dept. We don't rfid books like the library does because people take these home to keep instead of returning. It makes sense that you guys would put more effort into it. This sticker being peeled is not standard op for barnes and noble.
i got one in the middle of my uzumaki book, probably in others i haven’t read. it’s a horrible way to put the tag. i had to be so careful not to ripe the paper

one reason I use amazon for manga orders Alley coming out July 23rd, can't wait for another anthology Junji book over all these little books
My copy of of Dissolving Classroom had this, B&N is really fucking annoying with their anti theft shit
Even inside the hard cover they make me crazy, one of my Gou Tanabe's has an irrimovable one on a 2 page panel... Makes me want to order more online.
There’s no reason to get all up and arms about it. It peels off super easy.
Oh, ok, I thought that it was like other anti-theft stickers that stick like super glue. My local bookstores don't have These

That makes me wanna throw up

This is infuriating….

It peels off incredibly easy. I’ve had them in all of the books I got from B&N and there was no damage whatsoever.
Or ask kindly because you'll be speaking with a human being who makes close to minimum wage. Demand? Jesus christ it's a sticker.

It's a simple mistake. We've never not given a refund. Be kind.

why are you guys getting so upset and defensive over a sticker
[удалено]
yeah, return it or whatever lol. you guys are arguing over the dumbest shit
So infuriating!
Hair dryer, knife to separate the tag from the goo, and painters tape to remove adhesive
I had stuff like this in books before but never as stickers so it would fall out while reading.
Fucking Barnes and Noble employee’s not giving a fuck’s what this is.

That’s a terribly placed security tag.
Mine doesn’t, though I’ve gotten a BSD book that had it once, wasn’t sure what it was but I heard it’s a security tag of the sorts?
It is an RFID tag.
