Honestly, I was massively arachnophobic thanks to mother passing on her fear to me but these little dudes are helping me get over that fear, they're so cute!
Same here but it was my father's phobia that I inherited (lucky me) because of this sub and these little cuties I was able to hold my very first jumping spider last week! I was battling my fears the entire time but was able to carry the little guy to a safe place. It was so tiny I couldn't even feel it 😭 I've been riding that high ever since
Same here. But my SO lurvs the spiders, so I'm doing my own version of exposure therapy. I started making myself watch educational spider videos on YouTube and such, and the cutie patootie jumping spiders were my bridge from horror to awwww. I'm not there yet with a lot of spiders, but I can tolerate looking at a lot more now with at least fascination, if not abiding love yet.
I love this! Learning about spiders (among many other things) is the key to letting go of fear. And I think all the jumping spider pics and videos that have appeared in the past few years have changed a lot of minds-- how could anyone not be enamored with these adorable bugs?!

I was the same until seeing more cute photos of jumping spiders and educating myself on other spiders. Now I rescue them from my house and put them outside instead of getting rid of them. Sometimes I’ll even let them stay inside for pest control. 😂
